Pros: "They provided bags, napkins and were very understanding every trip down the aisle to the lavatories"
Cons: "Baggage pick-up facilities at Newark Airport"
Pros: "I liked the fact that they provided beverages and food."
Cons: "I hated how there was NO entertainment. Honestly on a 12 + hour flight this was a bit ridiculous. No tv, or movies... no screen on the seat at all. Not even a big one for everyone to enjoy! It was horrible... The seats were so cramped and the staff seemed a bit unprofessional and sloppy looking. The food was pretty bad as well. I've had my fair share amount of flights and honestly this was probably the worse one i've gone on with the amount of hours it took to get to our destination. I wouldn't have mind too much if there was no entertainment on a 2 or 3 hour flight..."
Pros: "I liked how they provided beverages"
Cons: "the seats were too close together, the staff seemed a bit unprofessional, and the big one for me was having to buy ear phones to be able to watch a movie... seriously?"
Pros: "From NGO to Vamcouver arrived after City's tours left 30 min. earlier, but back to Vancouver to Tronto too early for a good visit of City, when ariving Toronto at 1:30 am, and no connecting flight till 7:00 am. Agents at Toronto gate was not nice, which was unfortunate because all othr AirCanada agents were nice and flights were smooth."
Cons: "Connecting flights were not convenient. First time AirCanada, and Kayak. Seemed I got a bad set of flights returning. Going was good. Got tricked. Suggeston of flights may have been available but did not know. Need more research in next trip. Agents, contracted agents at ticket counter in Atlanya, were very helpful. They were superve in helping me when a traffic accifent shut doen for 2 hrs and I was late on arriving at Atlanta airport."
Pros: "Food, service, seat (Business class), aircraft"
Cons: "No internet connection"
Pros: "lay-flat bed for red-eye flight to Toronto"
Cons: "My seat assignment was changed without my knowledge. There was a charge for my one suitcase. Most other airlines do not charge for a suitcase unless it is more then one."
Pros: "Needs wifi"
Pros: "This time around around the crew was fantastic!"
Cons: "There used to be meals on longer flights. Now, not even a bag of peanuts."
Cons: "This flight was delayed by 45 minutes which made me miss my connecting flight. I asked the flight attendants if they could help me get to the front of the plane to see if I could catch my connecting flight and they wouldn't help me. Due to this I had to wait over 4 and a half hours at the airport wheee another 350 people were waiting for accommodations. I was in the airport until 4:30 in the morning because there weren't enough air cansas representatives. In addition, they were working really slowly because they kept getting up to chat with eachother."
Cons: "I have taken 6 flights with your company in the last two weeks. Each has had a minimum of 45 min delay. Your seats are very small. Your planes seem dated and have no entertainment system on board, oh unless I want to pay another $10 bucks for an Ipad.. Food , what food. You did not have half of the items on your own menu.. and when I bought some cheese and crackers, I had to remind the lady that cashews were in the picture too. You have a mediocre airline, nothing to brag about here."
Pros: "Flight attendant was great"
Cons: "Overbooked flight. Only able to board because someone missed flight. Delayed flight by over 30 minutes."
Pros: "N/A"
Cons: "Incredibly disorganized"
Pros: "Buying wine was a good idea. It's a good cure for frustrations."
Cons: "I had trouble checking in online AND printing boarding pass at kiosk. Plane left 45 minutes late. Boarding was chaotic. Headphones did not work with entertainment system. Drink order was incorrect... I just had to pretend I was on crappy public transport for two hours for a one hour journey. I laughed out loud when they announced on flight that Air Canada was voted best North American airline. Riiiiight."
Pros: "Friendly staff, decent food"
Cons: "Premium Economy seats didn't have leg rests"
Cons: "1. Too cold 2. Patron behind me was tall and his knees repeatedly pushed into my back through a paper thin seat back 3. Waited 45 minutes on tarmac AFTER landing to deplane"
Pros: "Late departure due to an incompetent airport crew (the guys who fuel the plane) . The pilot keep us well informed about the delay. Since we left Vancouver late, we arrived late and had to sit on the runway for 30 minutes until we could get a gate at LAX. Again the pilot keep us informed and apologized for the inconvenience, The staff was very friendly."
Pros: "on-board service"
Cons: "Late departures (about 30 minutes each way) with corresponding late arrivals. On the flight LAX to Vancouver due to late arrival of the plane, on the return flight supposedly because of a delay in loading luggage (the flight was fully boarded for 30+minutes before loading was completed). The late arrival in Los Angeles led to further delay as there was no available gate to accept us so we disembarked 50+minutes after the scheduled time."
Pros: "It was amazing and super easy. I cant wait to go back."
Cons: "I wish they had a meal and free checked luggage. Not the worst, but not the best part"
Cons: "flight was delayed for 5 hours with 0 communication from staff. customers were only given a $10 coupon and then encouraged to buy another flight with only 10% off..."
Pros: "Flignt from Honolulu to Vancouver delayed. Return flight also delayed."
Pros: "Smooth"
Cons: "Pay for food"
Cons: "Flight cancelled until the next day and then delayed again without sufficient notice . Air canada hasn't offered us anything worth making up missing a day out of our vacation"
Cons: "Took us 13 hours total to get from Vancouver to Toronto"
Pros: "Love the individual entertainment & the friendly staff team"
Pros: "An incident the day of our flight left us with a pet with nowhere to go but come with us. Usually you need to give a fair bit of notice to bring a pet into the cabin but the staff couldn't have been more helpful in getting all of us to our destination. They turned an incredibly stressful day into an easy and relaxing one."
Pros: "Are they ever friendly? Concerned about their customers? It's unreal how indifferent they are to your time and comfort!"
Pros: "They arrived on time. Not much else."
Cons: "Over 4 hour flight. No food (not even pretzels). A few old movies. Flight delay with no communication. I only noticed when I was checking in at the kiosk and noticed that my one hour layover was now a 5 minute layover. Rebooked. When I arrived at destination, no notice that next flight was delayed, even though it was over 3 hours late. Thought I only had 1 hour to go through US immigrations and customs. Ran to the other end of the airport to be on time. Aircraft wasn't even at airport and flight was over 3 hours late. They couldn't have posted that so we didn't have to run across the airport? Changed gates, but no announcement. One other flyer was looking at the board and called out to the group waiting that there was a gate change. Left Vancouver at 8:00 am, arrived in Boston at 1:30 am. Won't fly with Air Canada again."
Cons: "Horrible to fly Air Canada"
Pros: "Enough empty seats that I could lay out to sleep. The price was very reasonable."
Cons: "Hard to believe in 2017 an airline can offer a 9-10 hour flight without any in-flight entertainment system."
Pros: "A wider seat due to equipment change."
Cons: "No blankets offered on a red eye flight."
Cons: "We ran to the gate to make our connection and reached the gate on time while the flight was still boarding. They offloaded our luggage assuming we will be late!!!!"
Pros: "Staff was great."
Cons: "I avoid rouge at all costs and recommend others to avoid it too. I hate the lack of screens and zero complimentary food. A pretzel would impress me but I relate air canada rouge to delta or united and always have weak experiences compared to other aircrafts."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing."
Cons: "No flight attendant came during the entire course of the flight, even after I had pressed the button for one. One flight attendant was extremely hostile. Horrible experiencing flying to Vancouver from Vegas."
Cons: "a long 5 hr flight, they just give you a drink!!!!(they cant afford even a little bite?) Even at the time of the drink they bypass my line and we had to ask and she said sorry!! We did,nt get the usual boarding notification by e-mail 24hrs before??"
Pros: "Friendly staff n helpful. Good seats, movies available"
Cons: "You have to pay for everything even the headphones. The seat, the luggages n not even a small peanuts snack they give you. Flight are very expensive for you to pay all extra."
Pros: "Movies"
Cons: "Poor snack options"
Pros: "Got seats beside washroom so they don't recline. Makes it a tiresome journey. Fast check in, great pilot"
Cons: "Flight was delayed by roughly 2 hours allegedly due to construction at the Toronto Pearson airport. I recognize that this was possibly not Air Canada's fault but the delay was still unforeseen."
Cons: "Plane was too small with extra small overhead bin. We were asked to keep Cabin Luggage beneath our seats even though it fits the prescribe dimension. Return flight was first late then was told that the Restroom inside the plane is not working which is weird (atleast i never experienced this before)."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I was sat next to a dementia patient who were urinating on himself and the seat all over. I endured the smell for 10 hrs. The crew gave me a mask for it. No accommodations. I did not eat or drink obviously. He had been given special accommodation or sat with a caretaker"
Pros: "Wasn't too late. Plane seemed clean."
Cons: "Seated beside a young child with behavioral problems. Father mostly slept. Child stood on seat and jumped up and down, crawled under seats, threw ipad on my foot repeatedly, spilled his drink all over himself and his seat, screamed whenever his seat belt had to go on or his table top couldn't be down. At one point, the dad lost his temper, swore at the child, and covered him with a blanket in a big screaming match before doing up his seat belt--I was afraid he had smothered him but it had the effect of calming him down. No attendant even tried to intervene apart from asking "can I see your kid's boarding pass?" People should have to disclose when they are travelling with a child with severe behavioural problems and attendants should rescue anyone forced to sit beside one or at least make the parent care for the child. Also, a minimum of crackers or pretzels would be nice with drink on 5-hour flight. The entertainment system wasn't operating correctly and kept having to be reset by crew or reset itself. And, after first class etc. board, why don't they board the people at the back of the plane first, not the ones at the front? It took forever because people in front zones hadn't settled into their seats before people from the back zones tried to board."
Cons: "Seats were uncomfortable, too hard not enough recline. Not enough food considering we paid alot"
Pros: "Generally the flight was just fine."
Cons: "Nothing stood out as being a problem."
Pros: "Loved the plane."
Cons: "I tried to get business class it was full. In general, I don't spend for business class because AC BC is so poor (horrible food, iffy seats, broken entertainment systems). But this plane was different, unfortunately I couldn't get on."
Pros: "Attentive crew - offering beverages repeatedly (which didn't happen at all on my flight Toronto to Vancouver two weeks earlier)"
Cons: "Crammed seating - felt much tighter than would I am used to from other international airlines."
Pros: "Getting me from point A to point B in one piece is most important, so top marks there."
Cons: "- was told to switch gates twice for the same flight (while lugging my stuff along with me) - both flights were late - flight tracker didn't work from LAX to Vancouver - just a note: on flight from Vancouver to LAX, passenger behind us was talking 5X louder then literally anyone else on the plane. I bought headphones just to drown out his life story."
Cons: "Flight was late so I missed my connection. Then my luggage was delayed by five hours behind me. Generally poor service."
Cons: "Had to pay for seat assignments when reservation made or no seat reservations. Not true on all airlines. Delta let us pick seats for free when the reservation was made. Husband had wanted a window seat and ended up with a middle seat. No free snacks just drinks"
