Pros: "Flight was good. The problem was the ticket purchased from Kayak was not as stated. Because there was a layover in Amsterdam, I was not able to check my bag all the way through to USA. AND I had to visit 5 counters to check bag, pay for bag at different counter and 3 other counters!"

Pros: "Flying from San Francisco to Madrid via Munich in economy class. All very good in general, in fact the best experience compared with other airlines I have used in the past for the same trip. Vegetarian meal was good, but only on the long leg. Munich to Madrid was not possible to choose the special meal, but that is not that important for me, so I eat what I could and that was good enough. The crew was super nice. The plane is huge, toilets are literally 'downstairs' and extra room to hang out. I will definitely choose Lufthansa again for my trips to Europe."
Cons: "If you want to reserve a seat in advance you need to pay for it, that's the only thing I didn't quite like because I found it after I bought the ticket. It was not mentioned clearly in advance, and it felt like an afterwards surprise, really? I paid for it anyways. For me it is worth it to make sure I get a window seat on the long leg flight."

Pros: "We are extremely grateful to Lufthansa and Munich airport administration for organization of the transfer between connected flights wit a short connection time. We have had only 40 minutes transfer time between flights from Budapest and to Washington DC, and started to worry that we may not make it since the boarding was in the opposite part of the waste airport. So, it was a great relief when we saw the airport representative meeting us at the exit from Budapest plane to lead toward the Washington DC flight gate. In 30 minutes we were in our plane to continue flight to the US. Thank you so much!"

I travel with a musical instrument and some airlines want to check it and some even insist on checking it, even though there is always plenty of room. This was a completely full flight and no one even mentioned the possibility of checking it; they put me in an early boarding line and put it in a closet. The way they handle this for myself and the other passenger with an instrument made our day, as well as making boarding smoother forbus and everyone else. Really excellent job on that!"

I understand, but you can't just bump me from a paid and selected seat to a standard seat, especially on transatlantic flight after paying $140 extra. There was no apology. She went back to gate and little while later came back with a comfort seat. Some people seem not to have shown up as the seat next to me stayed open as well. It was very poorly handled."

Cons: "Departure was scheduled with one hour delay. When everyone was boarded they mentioned a leaking toilet. It took them 1,5 hours to disable the toilet. In the mean time, no drinks, no snacks, nothing. So we should depart at 18:00 but it became 19:30. Our first drinks and meal was no earlier then 21:00. The crew should have anticipated better that the technical problem would at least take one hour and give everyone a drink at least."

Cons: "Our flight from Nairobi to Lusaka was cancelled for some reason and we did not find out until we happened to log into the website to double check our itinerary. They automatically rescheduled the flight only giving us 25 minutes to reach our next flight...impossible. so, after calling, we were re-booked again and forced into a 13 hour layover in Amsterdam. Our original flight plan had 4 hours. so, because we are a family of 7 with a baby, we had to buy a hotel room to rest, costing us a lot of extra money we had not planned to spend. We contacted KLM for help with the cost but were rejected. We also lost 5 bags somewhere between Chicago and Lusaka, but after 2 days, we received them."

So we arrived later about 50 minutes so I had to manage my situation and find my next gate and be on time. And an other thing that I disliked was that I was allowed to have only one baggage which was very unusual for international flight between two countenances. And the crew was not polite enough so she made fun of my Cary-on. In short, I expected more from KLM which is famous for them being "Royal" but not acting as one of them."

I was given a seat assignment at the gate, however I didn't like the uncertainty of not knowing wether or not I would be boarding until the last minute."

Then obviously both seats were fully booked and I jammed in the corner. Ridiculous."

What did I get as compensation from British Airways? A 5 pound coupon for 'light refreshment' for an 8 hour inconvenience. Brilliant :|"

There were no monitors on the seat backs and no choice of entertainment, only monitors hanging from the ceiling. I suppose the airline assumes, probably correctly, that these days everybody has their own entertainment on laptop or tablet. The problem here, though, was that there were no charging plugs at the seats, so you’d better have a full battery when you get on and hope it lasts. Of course, I could have just read the inflight magazine, except that my reading light was broken. Food was decent for airline food."

This was not acknowledged or apologetic. They also took drink orders by shouting. They were easily the loudest people on the plane and made the flight way less comfortable than it could have been."

Cons: "I understand main cabin isn't supposed to be as upscale as 1st class, but it would do well if the seats were a bit more comfortable and the headrest was softer, it feels like a lump or sack of potatoes. Very stiff and hard. Also, having enough arm room would be nice so you're not fighting the person next to you for space on the armrest."

There was a DC power outlet at my seat (not all of the seats in the main cabin even have that) but guess what--it required a cigarette-lighter-style adapter to plug in. I certainly don't travel around with one of those! And most of the other seats in the main cabin had no access to power at all. My battery wouldn't possibly last through a 7-hour-plus flight without supplementary power. Oh well, fortunately there are still books and magazines. Just like old times. Be more like United or any other international airline, American!"

Cons: "Traveling during the holidays is never fun and a flight with American International doesn’t make it any better. No personal entertainment system on board, no place to charge a phone, an overnight flight with lights on bright enough to read by and a seat clearance of about 1cm."

Cons: "Entertainment system would not play any movies or music. Eventually they got it working for most passengers, but around 20% including myself still had no service."

There was no organization to get vouchers passed out. The hotel ran out of rooms for passengers. The whole trip was 16 hrs delayed and no customer service provided."

Cons: "The connecting flight from philadelphia to amsterdam was cancelled by American airlines due to a faulty plane. The system auto-rebooked many passengers on the flight on a 2 connections flight to arrive in Rotterdam for the following day. This was obviously not a suitable alternative. However after hours of waiting at the gate to get a better flight, an american airlines representative was able to rebook a flight to amsterdam via london that was still not until the following evening. I had to stay in philadelphia overnight and had to find a room on my own. The flight the next day went better however I still lost a day and a half of my trip. Unfortunalely for me, the issues did not end there. There was an issue in communication with british airways; american airlines never gave them the new flight details so british airways marked me as a no show for the Rotterdam flight and cancelled my return flight. By luck i called the day before my flight back to the US since i felt something was wrong. British airways representative was able to rebook me on a similar flight for the same day. Will most likely not use this airline again for international flights"

Cons: "I was unable to choose my seat, so my boyfriend and I had to fly cross country on opposite ends of the plane. There was a stewardess named Karen who was so rude. She clearly was not happy to be working, never smiled, and banged on the bathroom door while I was peeing because I was "not allowed to miss the instruction video." Had I not seen it a few hours earlier, I would have waited to use the restroom. Good thing they showed the same video three times in a row."

Cons: "Check in staff was unprepared for volume of people. When asking an American Airlines agent if I could use the priority check in because I had priority seating I was told no. I was informed by a customer going that way that I indeed could. When I got in line for the priority check in, the agent looked over and very loudly said that I was in the wrong check in area. Given the volume at which it was said to me I felt embarrassed, and was upset at the fact that I then had to respond that I indeed was in the correct location."

Cons: "It was on American Airlines 220, not a BA carrier. No power outlets. No Wi-Fi. No individual entertainment. Cramped seating in spite of paying a premium for improved seating. Lousy food. Flying to Hong Kong on AA was much better. Never again on AA to Europe."

Pros: "We paid almost $100 each extra for our seats. For that price we should at least have had a little wiggle room. My husband is 6'4" tall and it was a pretty uncomfortable flight for him. It was American booked thru Iberia."

Cons: "American airline serviced the flight with an extremely undersized plane that was only suitable in seat size for children. Our family of 5, including 2 children were placed each in a different location. The 2 men, average size, 5'9" were placed in window seats that required your head to be bent to the side because the wall curves over and the seat was so narrow. Everyone was hanging over each other's seat. There was no leg room. Everyone on the plane was upset and in disbelief that for 7 hours we would have to fly like that. Spending thousands of dollars, I did not expect this extremely closterphobic conditions. I would have paid extra for better seats. Not a happy customer."

The safety instruction was a mess, first it was on the big screen, totally black, only sound, then the crew started a discussion in the ail if the would do the safety instructions yes or no...in the end they did it without explanation what the were doing and in 2 minutes. Al three of them just did something. Rude and chewing gum crew, the dropped a salad bowl but not one of them was thinking about cleaning it up. The entire flight everybody walked over it in to the carpet. Friendlynes and service are two words that does not apply to this crew. From the first flight till the last flight AA made a mess out of it. Canceled our flight in JFK, no help or service, you are on your own when AA cancels a flight, after rebooking our flight we had a 7 hour stopover at Dallas, again no service, no voucher, no nothing. Then today with our return flight AA could not find our ticket numbers, turns out that when they rebooked our inbound flight they forgot to take over the return flight...cost us 2 hours and 10 minutes to check in at LGA Never, ever again with AA, even easyJet provides better service then AA does on intercontinental flight!"

NEOS Airlines is an Italian airline probably comparable to Southwest Airlines in the USA. It's a cattle car airline with no frills. Crew was very professional, food was actually good. A sandwich that was of course Italian ingredients. Seats were comfortable for the 3 hour flight."

But I eventually got a seat. We had a connecting flight to AMS with also TAP and had a two hour window to make the next flight with the same company (TAP). We were in line for passport and then security and talked to several TAP employees and they said we would be have time and wouldn't have a problem catching the second flight. Well, we got through the lines with 30 min before our next flight and they wouldn't let us on. Customer service and organization of the airline is really poor. The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed."

Pros: "The ride was comfortable, and the crew was attentive and pleasant. I loved the fact that i had a 10 hour layover, and I could go out into the city and do some sight seeing. This is not to the Airlines credit per say, but it was super easy. I enjoyed getting off on the tarmac just 200 feet from the building, was a nice sunny day."
Cons: "The seats did not have entertainment system that I wasn't going to watch anyways. The seats did not have charging ports either (for phone or laptop), which several airlines now a days are making standard."

One leg a significant portion of us had to get off the flight because there was not room for all the luggage. They made me a check my carry on bag because it was over small mediocre weight requirement even though lots of people had heavier bags. Then they LOST that bad for 2 days and it was a nightmare getting it back in another country. The second leg, a person whose bag was on board was unaccounted for, so we were delayed again."

There were also zero entertainment options."
