Cons: "There is always some sort of problem. When I was in San Pedro they said the flight was delayed, then it never came. They did accommodate me with a hotel for the night which was nice after almost losing my job. The last and final time I used this airline I was at JFK 2 hours and 45 minutes ahead of time. I was there at 11:45 for a 2:20 flight. They told me I had missed my flight because I wasn't there 3 hours early. No where on my ticket did it say anything about that. There was a lot of people complaining and then they told me since I "missed' my flight I had to by a new ticket on the spot, leaving me with no option and a heafty fee."

Ruined a dress my wife had planned to wear to a wedding because the red suitcase bled through to the dress. Underwater, etc was soaked. The extent of it we didn't realize until unpacking the suitcases later. Totally disgusted they could have left our suitcase in the rain uncovered (or perhaps dropped them in a puddle)."

AA rebooked me without my consent and assumed i would be ok taking a later flight 24hrs later. After hassle, i thought i received a perfect flight which would get me to my destination A WEDDING at that in time. However, i have been rebooked over 5x in under 24hrs and still at the airport from 9hrs later! They do not compensate you and do not even extend the offer!"

Cons: "Being rescheduled from an 0830 departure to a 0530 departure, which meant I had to get up at 0300 to get to RIC by 0400 for TSA and check-in. As originally planned I would have arisen at 0500, still early, but not nearly 0300. The equipment had no individual entertainment screens. So we were stuck with whatever was on the common screen...which was bad."

Then just before take off as the flight attendants were snacking in the back, we asked about a possible drink and they said the flight was going to be too turbulent to serve anything."

I didn't realize when I was booking the flights that American lets you bring a carryon no charge, but United does not. You have to be a "Special" customer with them in order to be allowed a carryon, so we ended up paying an additional $50!!!"

It's natural as a passenger my first thought is it's a Bad omen . I had genuinely lost some faith in the plane ."

NO Emails, not calls, no messages, no voice mesagges left by the company! -called the client service, located in Philipine apparently, the lady confirms that all our flights were canceled (3), then she hangs off the phone. -called the second time, another lady is rebooking me on a different flight, but she informs me that my husband is not on the same reservation as me, so basically he is in another flight. Eventualy she is changing his reservation as well and puts him on the same flight as me. -waiting for the confirmation email, of course the reservation is just for me, no husband anywere. -called the third time, a nice canadian gentelman informs us that the second flights was canceled so he will redirect us via NJ instead of Washington. -we are rushing to the Richmond airport to catch the NY flight, at the counter they let us know that this flights was canceled and we are back on the DC flight. -when ready to board in the DC flight they are announcing the this flights is delayed from 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm due to weather conditions. -waiting in the line to be rebooked in another flight, after 3 h of waiting they decide they can fly to DC at 4:45 pm, with about 15 people on board."

Cons: "United flight was delayed by 2 hours unitially, and eventually by 5 hours. Transfer to Delta flight was acceptable but deposited me at the wrong airport! A lot of money and inconvenience and delay after that to get to my destination. And no compensation offered for that!"

Cons: "The seats were hardest, most uncomfortable airline seats yet. No padding whatso ever. They now have 4 boarding classes plus the 'special' folks. If you drag your bag to the gate , which slows down boarding, you get it checked for free, if you check it yourself at the counter you get to pay 25$ ... Since older people generally do not want to be carrying luggage up the 'stairs and through the Chicago airport', it means they get to pay extra! I think it is age discrimination that all the airlines are doing. Only the young can fly the cheapest."

Cons: "Flights were significanly delayed that resulted in missing connecting flights. During my return trip I ran to make my connecting flight just barely on time and once boarded we sat on the plan for an hour before taking off. Flight to get to Richmond on united was a major problem. I work up with a notification that my flight time had been moved up 2.5 hours ( a problem as I live 2.5 hours away from the airport) I called and they said it was a mistake that I was good to take the origional flight. A few hours later I get a phone call from united asking if I could be at the airport 2.5 hours early. I said unfortunately no because I had already spoken to someone from united and they had reassumed me that the origional flight was still good. She then said if I couldn't make it early it was no problem. So I get to the airport at the origional time after speaking to two different agents who told me this was ok to find the plane delayed and causing me to miss my missed connection."

Cons: "United rerouted us and added another leg to our trip. We never flew Richmond to Denver. We ended up going Richmond -> Chicago -> Denver -> Santa Barbara. This caused us to miss a post-wedding brunch with family that we're only able to see about once every three years. All this after changing our flight out to the east coast the day of the flight (my 8:55pm flight was changed to 5:23pm, and I was notified after 3pm - meaning I had to run out of work early, costing me money, run home to pack, and rush to the airport, only to wait 3 hours for a now delayed flight). The also added another leg to that trip as well (at 3pm, day of). This was a red-eye flight and the last thing we wanted to do was get on and off the plane all night. I will not be flying with United after this trip."

Pros: "Beautiful new plane and pretty comfortable seats even all the way in the back of the plane. Beautiful scenery and a smooth flight."
Cons: "Pilot literally turned on the fasten seat belt sign 30 seconds after she turned it off - claiming non existent turbulence. It was fortunately a short 1.5 hour flight but they clearly just didn't want anyone walking around and using bathrooms. Safety is first - but this was so clearly a thinly veiled excuse to keep everyone in their seats. United crews continue to find ways to provide poor customer service. Passengers are such an inconvenience!"

Cons: "Incredibly uncomfortable seats on the express jets - we joked that we need to bring stadium cushions next time. For a full day of traveling, I would consider a more expensive route with another airline than tolerating the hard seating they offer."

Cons: "Had to sit on runway for over 2 hours causing me to miss connecting flight in Chicago. Then no more flights to Little Rock so had to spend the nite in airport very uncomfortable!! Kept changing gate numbers causing me to walk all over airport while having severe knee pain!! Very upsetting and painful"

Cons: "On her way here to Chicago. Airline left my sister at Houston for two days with no fly to Chicago. On her way back. They lost her suitcase and nowhere to be found. This is the worse experience ever. We will never use this airline again. So disappointed..."

Cons: "Very unorganized at check in! The lines were aweful, causing multiple people to miss their flights! Will never fly Spirit again!"

Pros: "Crew was kind, after some coaxing waited for a family member of a fellow passenger who wandered too far from gate to make it back in 10 minutes."
Cons: "Need updates and alerts on delayed flight!! I was checking my phone every 15 minutes from the restaurant next to the gate, reloading the status page, and the status that it changed from delayed two hours to taking off now happened within a 10 minute window. Next thing I know they are calling for final boarding, last call, even though half the flight didn't make it there yet because they didn't update that the delay was cancelled until minutes before boarding. I understand we all need to take off ASAP, but they've got to understand if everyone was standing at the gate, there would be no room to stand so we all disperse and know we can check our smartphones for updates."

Pros: "I appreciated how funny and engaging the flight attendants were during their monologues."

Cons: "Return flight from Houston was terrible, flight had a 5 hour layover in Orlando, Florida which was cancelled just 45 minutes before boarding time. Although the cost of the flight was reasonable, baggage fee was unacceptable. This trip ended up costing me much more than I anticipated paying. I had an appointment, which could not be cancelled & no way of getting home on time."

Cons: "EVERYTHING!!!! I checked in at home and once I got to the airport I still had to wait over an hour to check my bag in once at the airport!! My bag was one pound over weight, ONE POUND and a big deal was made over that!!! On top of that our flight was delayed because the pilot got sick!!! SERIOUSLY NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO FLY A PLANE?!? I will be calling coporate and speaking to someone about this matter!!! This is the second time this happens to me!! NEVER AGAIN SPIRIT!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!"

Pros: "The price obviously sets this company apart from the others. They advertise as "Bare Fare" and they follow that since nothing at all, not even the check-in cost, is included in their fare. You can check in and print your boarding pass for free, though. Their planes look pretty nice with their new art and their staff were decently nice. Minor delays."
Cons: "Checked bag costs, lines everywhere, bumpy ride, their website was a complete nightmare and had to open up different browsers and even computers at times to navigate through their faulty coding and technical issues. No complimentary services in the plane. Not even water."

Pros: "Ok time, good Services"

Pros: "You get what you pay for. I don't have any complaints, everyone knows what they're getting when they fly with Spirit; you're essentially buying the gas with your ticket price. So overall, price was good."
Cons: "I don't think I could ever take another flight for more than two hours. The seats were just too uncomfortable to sit in for a long periods of time. Again, nothing I didn't already know. It's great for short flights!"

Pros: "The flights themselves were adequate, glad I am only 5'8" or it would be very uncomfortable for a larger person."
Cons: "The hidden carry on fees being added at time of departure are deceptive. As a first time Spirit Airlines customer I fell into their business model and was trapped into paying $55 each way for my carry on bags. All attempts to discuss with the ground crew and customer service my disappointment and request for a refund were met with delays and deception hoping I would give up on getting my $110 back for the hidden carry on fee. At this juncture I am disputing the charges with my credit card company and will have to see what happens."

Pros: "The flight was not full, so I could sit by the window instead of the middle seat, which was awesome. Flight attendants were funny and efficient. Pilot flew very smoothly. Of course it was a clear day with no other external obstacles."

Cons: "I was seated in the rear of the plane and could clearly hear two flights attendants complaining to each other about several passengers. Their was no professionalism and it was just rude. I felt like I was listening to high school girls."

Cons: "They wouldn't let me on my flight because in spite of having checked in within 24 hours of my return flight they said I needed to have a printed boarding pass and their kiosks only print 45 min prior to the flight and they wouldn't let me on the flight. They said I "missed my flight" before it even took off."

Cons: "No free pop or peanuts. ONE .beer was to overly priced and to warm.."
