Pros: "Service and overall cleanliness etc. was very smooth, good and clean. I sat in seat 1A both ways and as the first person to get on and off the flight found the process well laid out, easy, clean and smooth. I also got to witness the boarding process from inside while seated. Very professional and courteous all the way. The first class cabin was sparsely filled with ample space between us and based on how many people I saw getting on, I think the rear cabin must've been sparsely filled as well. More on the comfort aspect in the "what would have been bettter section" ... in short, the seats are the weakest link in the chain."
Cons: "My only gripe is about the seats fitted in first class for this Alaska Air leg (JFKSFO). Like most, my travel frequency has dropped so much that I can finally afford to pay full fare first for the few times I do need to travel. I expect that this will more likely be the norm than not and hope/expect that more among us who can afford to pay extra for the additional comfort, do so. The airline industry will need to keep that segment to get ahead of this seismic shift in travel patterns that 2020 has brought upon all of us. I was hoping to just sleep through it. I normally sleep well/easily on flights (at times, "too well"!) but could not do so on this leg. The seats in first class are just not meant for sleeping and are thus limited in their positioning ... brief napping is the best you can do - carry your entertainment/work or plan on meditating while fully awake. The base is for all intent and purposes, immovable (maybe a couple of inches back and forth at best). There is no concept of a foot rest in the design. The back locks into one of two positions - a vertical one for take-off/landing and a second one tilted about 15 degrees or so. That makes it impossible to stretch the body out while fully supported - so hard to go into relaxed/deep sleep for those who wish to do so. The front passenger seat of a common car offers more for a five hour road trip - something to ponder on, eh? Upgrade the seats ...the extra investment will pay for itself quickly in this age of reduced travel as you'll attract more of those who are lucky to be able to pay a little more to fly in comfort for the few times that they need to. Additionally, sleeping passengers are often the easiest/cheapest to service!"

Cons: "First the flight was delayed for 1.5 hours as it left the previous city late, no reason was given, however when the plane finally arrived we boarded a hot plane that was experiencing electrical problems. The plane was rebooted multiple times, making it even warmer as the air was shut off with the plane. We waited on board at the gate for over an hour to be told we would deplane and reboard a new plane. All in I experienced a 3.5 hour delay on a late night flight. The second plane was much more comfortable, but didn’t make up for the long delays"

Cons: "A disabled girl and her family were seated immediately behind me and the girl bellowed and screamed more than half of the time, She also began emitting a foul stench i can only assume was a solid in her underwear or copious flatulence. She kicked and pulled on my seat (inadvertently pulling my hair in the process). The parents had very little control and did not seem to have an idea of how to fix the situation. When she draped herself over the seatback I pointed her out to the attendant when she asked if there was anything else I needed. She found me another seat for the last 1/4 of the flight and gave me a free drink and some chocolate. I think it would have been smart to address the problem when it first started instead of pretending everything was fine. This girl did the same thing on my flight out to others and it was not tolerable even 10 rows away on the other side of the plane. The other people in my row were irritated they had to stay and continue to suffer. If i knew there was the possibility to move I would have done it right away. Addressing the issue right away would not have solved the problem probably but the rest of us might have been able to move out..."

Cons: "This flight was very confusing and flow of information was poorly managed. I got an email about 3 hours before takeoff that the flight was cancelled, then another that it was reinstated. Then when I called to speak to an agent I was told it moved from one airport to another in a nearby area. There was a free shuttle from the original airport but I elected to take a taxi since it would be quicker and there wasn't much notice. So I made it to the new airport on time but those who came via shuttle took ages, delaying the rest of the passengers. Taxis should have been guaranteed covered for everyone so that we could have departed on time, which impacted on everyone's day. And the flow of information could be much more accurate and streamlined in the run up to departure instead of constantly being changed. It was very confusing."

The extent of it we didn't realize until unpacking the suitcases later. Totally disgusted they could have left our suitcase in the rain uncovered (or perhaps dropped them in a puddle)."

After hassle, i thought i received a perfect flight which would get me to my destination A WEDDING at that in time. However, i have been rebooked over 5x in under 24hrs and still at the airport from 9hrs later! They do not compensate you and do not even extend the offer!"

As originally planned I would have arisen at 0500, still early, but not nearly 0300. The equipment had no individual entertainment screens. So we were stuck with whatever was on the common screen...which was bad."

It's natural as a passenger my first thought is it's a Bad omen . I had genuinely lost some faith in the plane ."

So, in other words, no company took responsibility for my customer satisfaction. So I am ultimately blaming American Airlines accountable since they, not Iberia or airfare.com, contracted with the food service provider at the airport."
