Cons: "No American Airlines! I have trouble with them every time I have used them. Usually their plane breaks down or requires maintenance, which happened again this trip. It made use have to run from customs to the other end of the airport in 10 minutes to make the connection ."

Well, even if that's the fact of the matter, at least, be kind in responding to customer's inquiry. My son was seated across the isle, same row, but in reality the row was not even straight. And as a little boy, he cannot sleep straight and he has to lean to a stranger's shoulder? Thankfully I got a nice gent who should have sat next to him who were so kind to exchange seat with me. It's all in the attitude.... hopefully my attitude is not as bad :-) But maybe the gate agent was so tired for it was the last flight from ONT, at 1 AM. Bless her heart! Thank you though for your help to get the plane leave on time.!"

Cons: "The cabin heat was way too high, I actually was sweating. Boarding took 35 minutes"

Cons: "Well because of some dumb delay we missed our connection allowing us to be given new tickets for two more connecting flights. Which is absurd."

Cons: "The plane felt very old. Long overseas flights without personal entertainment systems can be tough because you're stuck watching bad films with inferior sound quality. When you can't sleep it makes the ride so long. Also, the bathroom midcabin was very insecure. One wall was DISCONNECTED from the floor!"

Pros: "I was traveling with two teenagers and originally there weren't 3 seats together. When we got to the gate they had reassigned our seats for us to sit all together. I appreciate that."
Cons: "We had already pulled out of the gate to leave when the captain informed us the plane had maintenance issues and we had to wait for a gate. We waited. When we got to the gate he announced the crew had timed out and that we should take our things and get down to wait for more information. Once at the gate we were told they were trying to put a new crew together for us, including the pilot. While we waited they did provide good quality deli food for us. I appreciate the food but the 5 hour delay, I did not appreciate."

I was forced to check my roll on carry-on. I also was forced to wait at baggage claim in msp. I purposely traveled with carry-on items to avoid this issue! Not happy..."

The creeping delay commenced: 20 minutes, then 15 minutes more, then 30 minutes more, etc... with very little communication about when what going on. Finally, we were advised of a gate change and new aircraft. We landed 93 minutes late. Problems happen but keep customers informed!"

On the connecting flight, the last flight the plane was two thirds empty and the crew made us sit in our assigned seats, crammed together telling us that if we want to sit in a seat with more legroom we have to pay $180"

Cons: "That when I explained being hearing impaired the boarding attendant said my carry on needed to be checked. I didn't understand her and proceeded to the loading blank. Then when boarding the attendant informed me. I explained I checked my bag in the airport compartment tester and it was fine. I also asked the attendant at the counter. She confirmed it was fine. Still smiling until the snack pretzels were passed out. When I didn't hear the attendant's question, in spite of telling her I was hearing impaired, she threw her hand up rudely and just continued on to other customers. When boarding I watched orhers board with the same size bag as mine, and wondered if telling someone you can't hear gives them the right to inform you at the gate that your bag needs to be checked?"

It was outrageous and completely ruined the flight for me. I realize this has nothing to do with the flight but it just made me feel so crumby and attached that I felt the need to share it. Also the leg room was a joke. We barely had any room to move. I probably won't fly coach on united again due to the bad taste it left in my mouth. Unfortunate because it's hub is in chicago."

On my way to the airport in Portland I got a text from United that my flight to Newark had been cancelled and there was no way to fly me out of Portland to San Diego that day. My sister had to drive me to Boston so I could catch a flight to San Francisco, which took 6.5 hours because it flew over most of Canada for some reason AND had three babies that cried from start to finish. Oh and because I was a late addition, I had a middle seat. The second I turned my phone on after we landed I had another yet another text from United saying that my connection to San Diego had been delayed three hours and wouldn't take off until 11:15 pm."

Pros: "Ive had a hip injury so walking is problematic. I was worried about my 45 minute transfer time in Ohare. The boarding attendant at Charleston ordered a wheelchair to meet me. I got to my plane as it boarded. A distance I couldn't have walked, much less in the time allotted."
