Flight was on time. Boarding was relatively fast and the crew very pleasant. The plane was new and clean. Snack was O. K. , fine for a 2hr. Flight. 👍👍

The flight itself felt like an older 737-800 while it had power there were only two and the two others in my row snagged them. I was in Delta Comfort and have to say the extra leg room isn’t a lot."

Cons: "Flight delays cause cascade of irritable passengers. Flight out of Phoenix delayed due to late departure from previous location. We were told mechanical reasons was the cause of the delay. This caused many passengers to miss their connecting flight in Atlanta. When we arrived after midnight, one gate person was attempting to help 50 people with morning connecting flights and room accommodations. The airline knew 3 hours prior that they would have tired, hungry, frustrated passengers. To then have to wait more than an hour in a line to get a bed and or a meal was too much for most people. There were other smaller examples of how Delta's staff or procedures were not customer centric. I will avoid Delta for travel in the future, and I am getting out of their stock."
Cons: "Our flight was originally scheduled for departure at 7:45 PM. We got an alert stating that the flight was going to be delayed but we were already almost to the airport when I received the first message on my smartphone. We received three additional alerts making our total wait time at the airport 5½ hours before we could approach the gate and board the aircraft. Seating in immediate gate area was not comfortable. Boarding was chaotic at best with very little control and guidance provided by Delta staff. The audio over the PA system was difficult to decipher much of the time. The only other available boarding status information was presented on the screens stationed near the gate and indicated PREMIUM the entire time during our boarding process and was never updated. We literally had to scramble through the crowd to get to the gate desk and get our boarding passes validated so we could board our flight with our group of passengers. Our seating on board the aircraft was thankfully good which is why I rated Comfort as Okay. We were saddled with one more delay after the flight left the gate and taxied briefly down the runway and then sat there for almost an hour. My suggestions to improve customer satisfaction based on my experience would include the following 1. Provide extended alerts for passengers travelling especially if the anticipated delay is known to the airline more than 2 hours before scheduled flight time. 2. Improve seating in the waiting areas near all Delta gates. 3. Re-orient all staff in proper boarding process and utilizing all available resources properly to provide clear and intelligible (not speeding) overhead audio messaging and current boarding status prompts on displays. 4. Maintain or replace audio equipment if necessary to help improve quality of audio messaging in all boarding areas."
Cons: "My email read check into Aeromexico I could not check in the Aeromexico using my phone I was dropped off at the Aeromexico terminal after standing in line for half an hour I find I was in the wrong terminal I needed to be in a different terminal with Delta because Aeromexico even on my reservation read that does not fly to Tampa. I had to find a shuttle to another terminal the shuttlesare not marked it was very confusing"

My little girl got the Delta wings pin (including a second one when she lost the first one), and was able to visit the flight deck. Extra kudos for my daughter being able to see a female pilot! :-)"

Cons: "For some reason when I booked my flight, for this leg of it, I had "get seat assignment at gate". Once I got my seat assignment I thought I had a window seat: however, when I boarded the plane, I realized that I was in the very last seat of the plane in the window position, but no window. I was crammed in next to a wall and claustrophobic the whole way as I couldn't see anything, couldn't recline at all because behind me was the bathroom, and the engine roared at times in my ears to where I couldn't hear the passenger next to me when we tried to have conversation as the engine was right outside my "wall". We joked, when we could hear each other, that we must've pissed someone at Delta off the last time we flew them. I have no idea why I had to get my seat assignment at the gate for this particular flight, or why I was put in the 'flying coffin' seat, but it made for a very unpleasant experience. Why even have that seat in the plane? Everyone pays a lot of money to fly these days and deserves better than that seat when doing so. just take those two seats out and give everyone else a little more leg room = much better passenger experience for everyone...my suggestion if Delta really cares about the quality of passenger experience."

Second leg of the flight was delayed - the copilot apparently injured his back as he left his hotel, and tried to continue with the flight but couldn't. That's not so bad... the issue is that AA had no backup plan. For such a large airport (Miami) you'd think AA would have a plan to cover such issues... but they didn't. So, we got held up for almost 3 hours while they looked for another copilot. Of course, when it's less than 3 hours, passengers get no compensation for AA's screwup. It's a terrible situation for passengers, but it's the crappy deal we have. On the other hand, the gate crew was great... they tried to keep us informed for the most part. My wife had to go up and ask a few times, but they were good about telling her the status honestly, which is greatly appreciated. They should have been more proactive about this, but at least they gave the info, so that's appreciated. Bottom line, that's the only real positive on this trip... hence the second star... the rest of the issues would have garnered a 1-star review.

The lady on the check in counter charged me 118$ for 5 extra kilos, she was trying to come up with anything to make things difficult and annoying for me, the vaccination card, the extra charge then finally my debit card! She was not helpful by any means

Sometimes you can watch on the iPad in a browser, other times you need a flash player or the AA app. Have a common way of at least accessing the internet, otherwise it can take 10 minutes to log in if switching from a GoGo yo Panasonic service. It is just too difficult and buggy. I am glad I don’t actually pay for the internet."

This is embarrassing at the gate especially since it looks like we are cutting the line. What good is this "privilege" if you have to assert it every time or hold a credit card in hand with your carryon and boarding pass. This should be included in our ticketing at the time of purchase and upgraded on our boarding pass if we use the damn card for the purchase. It is now not a "privilege" but an inconvenience."

They don’t, as a policy, check bags to final destination. It’s not an option. I’d rather walk than fly with these clowns.

My family in Arizona didn’t have a printer to print our return flight tickets, so I took a screenshot of our tickets on my phone. Apparently, when you go through security they enlarge the QR code, which makes it blurry, so it can’t be scanned. We had to go back to the check in desk and pay $5 for each ticket to be printed. Lesson learned, print out all flight tickets before you leave.

The bag check process was trouble at both legs. They have lower weight limits than the major carriers and that really should be highlighted better when you book with Allegiant. Also, bag checkin for the flight I was on started at 7:45am. There were only 2 people at the checkin counter and one of them was busy doing something and ignoring the customers. So that was a little annoying."
Cons: "5 delays between for a 4:27PM flight that eventually took off at 3:15am. My biggest issue is the unrealistic delay that could have left us in the airport for 11+ hours. Very thankful that they did allow me to change departure locations to another airport at no charge. That flight went well, even arrived early."

My flight was supposed to be started at 7 am but that was keep delaying first due to foggy at arriving airport, then operational issues, then crew difficulties. They postponed to 1pm. I was supposed to land at final destination at 1pm but due to delays and missing connection flights I landed at 11:30PM. That to I was sitting way back separated from my wife and next to restrooms (with bad smell), where I booked for business class. I reserved expensive resort for a night at final destination but that ended up me sleeping for that night. Next day I had to work and my entertainment was lost. My whole day was ruined, and disturbed. Lost lots of comfort and money.

Pros: "I purchased a ticket for my 18 year old dog $ 125.00 each way to fly with me to Kalispell and back. She is so old that she can not SEE, HEAR, or BARK any longer. I understood she needed to be under the seat for take off and landing but I was told by the ticket agent and flight attendants on my first flight that she could sit on my lap during the flight. Everything was great on the way there. On the returning flight,.... the flight attendant was so RUDE to me. She saw that after we were airborne and at a steady altitude, I brought my dog "Kacey" up into my lap. She immediately raised her voice and stated the dog needed to remain on the ground. I politely explained her condition BUT she refused to listen to anything. I put my poor old dog back under the seat. After approx 20 min I could hear her patting very loud. I lifted her again and asked a different flight attendant for some water. She was very hot on the floor. Or course, the flight attendant saw my little chihuahua drinking the water and said that after she drinks a little more, she must remain under the seat. By now, my husband is getting annoyed. He tried explaining to the flight attendant the medical needs that my dog has " she's on protein shakes" which were approved their security. and how fragile she is. She can't BARK, SEE, or HEAR. Yes, we will be putting her down soon but we took her to Montana for my daughter to say her GOODBYES!! Sorry to say, but that flight attendant has turned me away from UNITED AIR LINES forever. Told us our bags would be checked all the way through, and they weren't. Checked bag got lost on the way back (again, due to misinformation from United on whether our bag would be checked all the way through), and when we got them back they had obviously been rooted through, with no note left by TSA. I fly often, and this was one of the worst flying experiences of my life."

Upon arriving to the airport the flight was still showing 59 mins delayed. Oddly, with all of the early communxaruin, it suddenly ceased! No communication for at least 2 hrs before the flight. Even as the 'would be' boarding window, the line formed with people asking questions... yet there were no answers or updates to the proposed time of departure. Even when the 59 min late departure came and went, there was NO communication. Folks were in an uproar! Finally, with no announcement, the gate attendant just started checking boarding passes and letting people go through the gate. Huh? I have zone 1, yet he said, we're just boarding everybody.... and, on the 3+ hr flight, only 1 bathroom worked. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!"
Pros: "Bad experience I was sitting in the last row and half way through the flight one of the toilets got clogged and started to overflow and smell up the area. There was a puddle of water running down towards the isle and the crew member was telling her colleagues to leave it alone and let it run so she can see how bad it gets for when we land. Extremely unsanitary and unexceptable to travel with that smell and conditions. Plus to top it all off towards the end the overhead bin got jammed and I had to wait for someone to pop in open, again its unfortunate I had to go through this. Never again, I would not recommend spirit sorry."

I waited at the airport for until 1:30am before I got a confirmation that the back was in fact at Newark still. I had a nursing convention to go to and I had no clothing. So I had to Uber to Walmart than Uber back to my hotel. So I didn’t get any sleep. I didn’t check into my hotel til 4am due to a negligent spirit employee. I paid for the checked bag and there was plenty of space in the over head compartment. She caused me unnecessary stress and an embarrassing morning with my administrators due to my lack of sleep."

We thought the money was gone, but everything fell off the conveyor line and buried them. There was only one small bench to sit on to redress, and so many people, they were literally falling on top of us. The plane seats had no legroom and my arthritis started acting up, because of no room to stretch out. Then some of the people wore so much perfume, etc that I had trouble with my Asthma. Parking was very expensive. Signage was very poor at times. Finally when we got back, late, all the gates were taken so we had to wait for one to open up. Honestly flying has gotten so bad we agreed next time, either drive ourselves or try Amtrak. Maybe next time we'll just send flowers to the funeral."

Unacceptable. TSA precheck is a convenience for passengers and, more importantly, an added level of security for TSA personnel. Prechecked passengers have already been background screened. These passengers are known safe entities in an uncertain security environment. Each person prechecked is one less security threat TSA needs to assess, meaning TSA can focus more effort on potential threats. Denying a precheck customer precheck status makes everyone's life more difficult. Fix your system, then train employees on how to appropriately deal with these issues."

Pros: "Used Kayak to find cheap flights that fit our time frame. Spirit airlines proved to be a quick and reliable airline getting us to Chicago 15 mins early. When departing Chicago email notifications kept us up to date on possible delays of flight caused by weather conditions. I called Spirit customer service representative and changed my flight to avoid the worst of the weather. They were able to make the changes and honor the seating arrangements I had made for my family of five. Great experience!!"
Pros: "With a little research about how Spirit can charge such affordable rates, i was able to prepare for my flight without all the "unexpected" fees, leaving no surprises or discomfort. I was able to bring my own water, snack, and in flight movie which made the flight very enjoyable. The flight crew on both flights were very helpful, professional, and even entertaining. My ratings for food and entertainment were poor simply because they didn't offer them."

Having never flown Spirit before, I was unaware of what a sleazy operation it was and learned an expensive lesson. I am currently sitting at the gate to board at 5:32 for this same flight that was scheduled to depart around noon.. Delayed twice. Got a $50 voucher if any reader wants it because I will never use this airline again."

Cons: "They lied about volcanic ash to delay their flight because their crew was not ready to fly (they didn't have enough down time) meanwhile EVERY OTHER FLIGHT FLEW OUT. They would not give us a new flight. They would not give us food vouchers. No car rentals. No housing. We were stranded in a foreign country for 12 extra hours with NOTHING. On top of that they were rude, unhelpful, and after the 12 hour delay, DELAYED THE FLIGHT AGAIN. They would not help with anything. They simply blamed the "ash" that apparently didn't affect any other airline but Spirit. Never ever using them again."
Pros: "The price is right for the base fare, but Spirit gets you with all the extra fees. Baggage cost is very high, and higher at the airport if you don't 'pre-purchase' bags to check online. The weight allowance for checked bags is only 40 pounds with massive fees for heavier bags, and they charge for carry on, too. Checking just one 30 pound bag doubled my total cost of flying, and it would have been more if I hadn't pre-purchased. They even charge for water on the plane, which I find really bad. Maybe it's just me, coming from Australia where you're legally required to provide free water, but this rubs me up the wrong way. They also charge if you need agent assistance to check in at the airport. The staff were all very polite and friendly, and the overall experience was fine, but the extra fees do NOT make it worth it. It makes the guests feel unwelcome and each extra step and extra charge makes the whole experience more stressful and complicated. You could pay a slightly higher base fare with United, for example, but probably save money with more generous baggage/check-in procedures, and have a worry-free experience, too. The staff were great; it's the company policies I have a problem with."

She told us we can throw out her bag full of clothes or had to pay a reschedule fee off $100 not sure if that was per ticket and wasn't till the next day when we both had to be to work in the morning.. Not to mention the 4 hour car ride to get there.. So needless to say we threw her bag out and some of my belongings squeezing as much of her stuff in my bag and throwing out clothes shoes suitcase etc.. Should offer a mailing option for situations like this especially when they were not staffed enough.."

I did notice that the stewardess in our area (who sat right in front of me (exit seat )) was on her cell phone texting or playing a game or what ever young people do on their phones. as a travelling public person, my comfort level or expectation is that all the time I am on board, that the crew is on duty and focused on their duties, which should include, not being distracted by using personal electronic devises at anytime. Secondly, the uniforms that the attendants wore seemed to be a little less cared for or clean as other airlines. Lastly, (this may be picky,) but it seemed that the hair of a few of the attendants seemed unkempt at a level in keeping with the beautiful airplane we were in. There was a steward that came on the plane who looked light his shirt was too big (collar was too big for his neck) as was the size of his coat. Look, If it's one of the only ways to get extra income, then a simple carryon fee for $25 should be attached accross the board* Even IF someone didn't have a carry on, the $25 should still be within the ticket- THAT WAY, you won't have disgruntled customers having to cough up an extra $50-100+ at the check-in.. AFTER they probably spent too much on their travel.. (Not saying only poor people take Spirit, but there IS a reason people fly with them.. Because it's supposed to be economical*"
