Pros: "I flew in from Houston, TX to visit family in Sharon, VT. The closest major airports are Boston and Manchester and both are several hours away. For a few extra bucks, I can fly to Lebanon, NH thanks to Cape Air and save my family members hours and hours of driving. Very convenient. The Cape Air staff and pilots are always super friendly!"
Cons: "The plane can be kind of loud; it is certainly a good idea to pack hearing protection."
Pros: "Considering I was a bit scared flying on a small plane my pilot was excellent. I enjoyed this flight so much. It was spectacular!"
Cons: "My Pre TSA Check did not apply to flight"
Pros: "Staff were great - courteous, professional and friendly. Plane was a fun experience as always."
Cons: "Not Cape Air’s fault, but the smoky haze (from fires in CA, OR, NV) diminished some of the long views - vistas were not quite as beautiful as on past flights."
Pros: "Smooth flight. Nice option to fly to small airport closer to home."
Pros: "Got to sit next to the pilot!"
Cons: "Nothing, it was an absolutely breath taking flight!!"
Pros: "Friendliest flight crew, airport attendants and security agents anywhere."
Pros: "Being the co-pilot"
Pros: "Got a shuttle from the plane to my terminal at STL. Very convenient."
Cons: "Rather loud, but I don’t think there was much the airline could do about that. Maybe earplugs."
Pros: "Flight on time. Nice smooth ride. Very friendly pilot."
Pros: "Crew was pilot and helpful in explaining the situation to me."
Cons: "Got bumped from a flight to make way for a pilot in training. The fact that this happened on christmas eve made it even worse. Had to wait until boarding to find out that was being bumped and was told I shouldn't have been allowed to check in."
Pros: "The View was spectacular. The plane was a little bit too smelly."
Cons: "The View was beautiful"
Pros: "I was pleasantly surprised by everything! It was easy staff was friendly and the piolet was great! What more can be said! Planning on using Cape Air again!"
Cons: "I asked the ground crew for a box that I had checked and was told that it would be forwarded to my next flight. It wasn't. Now cape air is telling me the only way I can get it back is to fly to San Juan and pick it up."
Cons: "We were left waiting after the flight we were booked on took off full. Had to wait another 45min to have a private flight with no copilot."
Pros: "The ease of changing flights."
Cons: "Of the three women at the gate one was rude to everyone. The two others seemed ditzy and clueless. The announcements they made were incomprehensible to many in the passenger audience. There was substantial eye-rolling."
Pros: "My first time on a such small plane and the ride and the landing were very smooth with great views!!"
Pros: "Shirt flight no food, but bumpy. I almost threw up on a 25 minute flight"
Pros: "Hate crew diligently kept me informed of my bag connecting from my 45 minute late "on time" united flight."
Pros: "The flight itself was nice"
Cons: "Being delayed and the process of dealing with the delays was a real headache"
Pros: "I sat in the copilot seat since plane was so small."
Cons: "Delayed so I missed my connection in Boston. I ran to catch it but the door was closed and they wouldn't let me on, even though plan was still sitting at the gate. I had 8 min to spare."
Pros: "Got me to Boston, eventually, safely. Nice view from low altitude. Plane provides for an intimate experience with pilot and fellow passengers"
Cons: "2.5 hour delay with no information or confusing information about departure prospects."
Pros: "Easy, painless and on time!"
Cons: "Everything was great!"
Pros: "It is always a pleasure to fly with Cape Air. The staff especially in Owls Head are phenomenally nice and helpful."
Pros: "It was a brief, smooth, enjoyable flight."
Cons: "My checked suitcase weighing <30lbs. was not put on the plane because of a weight constraint (combined weight of passengers and their luggage). I collected my suitcase from the airport the next day. Of course, airplane safety is a must, but I saw others dealing with their luggage also having been "bumped". Traveling this way is unreliable and, for me, less than satisfactory."
Cons: "Too expensive. 399 for a 40 minute plane ride? Really?"
Pros: "Great timing"
Pros: "Great service and quick flight from Lebanon to White Plains. Super convenient and the crew was very friendly."
Cons: "Booked with Cape Air a month before our trip to Bimini. We had quite a few reasonable trip options but decided the float plane would be fun. One week before our departure Cape Air cancels the tickets. No explanation, no rebooking, just a "I'm sorry, too bad, go find something else," we ended up paying full fares through United for another $1000. So much for our affordable weekend getaway. Thanks Cape Air."
Pros: "But it came on the next flight to Rutland and was delivered to my house that evening."
Cons: "Due to weight issue we made it safely to Cuelbra but our bags did not. Hopefully they arrive today or we will be going 2 days without them. No fun"
Cons: "Flight was canceled and nothing could be done to make it better."
Pros: "Good, efficient flight to Bar Harbor from Boston!"
Pros: "Great pilot!"
Pros: "Great. But you have to not be scared of small planes. The plane only seats 8 people. You can high five the pilot."
Cons: "Very small. I'm 6'4" very tight fit"
Cons: "AIRPORT SHUT DOWN TO EARLY AND NO AVAILABLE CAR RENTAL WITH DEBIT CARD. I BECAME STUCK WITH USING TAXI CAB."
Cons: "Was very disappointed. I missed my next flight in Boston because this one was cancelled 15 mins before we were supposed to take off- leaving little to no time to make other arrangements. When I first checked in I was told there was a slight delay due to 'wildlife management' then we got word that it is cancelled because of ice in Boston- it was 46 degrees. There was no compensation because the cancellation was due to weather. However, we were later informed that it was due more to lack of equipment. I have lost my faith in cape air"
Pros: "Great flight Albany to BOS. Cessna turbo prop. Super flight crew. Sure beats driving to Boston."
Pros: "*No security (skip TSA) *Private, intimate experience with just 6 other passengers (but without the luxury of a charter since the tiny plane has no amenities, entertainment, food, or even water)"
Cons: "*UNSAFE -- you better hope your pilot doesn't have a heart attack or seizure or even arm cramp mid-air as the shaky, ratchety little 8-seater doesn't have a second pilot. Airline unconcerned w/liability. *Pilot (Captain Darryl) was a jerk, which the ground crew warned us about - unlike Air Sunshine and Seaborne (which we flew to other islands during the same trip), he didn't allow you to take pictures w/your phone in airplane mode. *Price was much costlier than Seaborne and Air Sunshine flights; when I learned of competitors and tried to switch, no cancellation (even within a day of booking). *Customer service almost impossible to reach; long hold times, limited hours. *They commit consumer fraud by charging for carry-on luggage in addition to checked baggage without ever disclosing that prior to the flight (and the normal airline baggage policy doesn't apply). *With much better and cheaper options, NEVER fly this airline for your own safety, cost consciousness, and well-being."
Pros: "Professional and polite staff"
Cons: "There was no warning that this was an 8 person passenger plane, with no food, no entertainment, no bathrooms. Boarding was late and confusing. You couldn't keep your stuff with you... No bags in the cabin. It was cramped, cold, and loud. This all should have been made clear at booking... The staff was professional but did not give enough information either."
Cons: "I specifically chose this flight because it left early in the morning. But the flight was delayed for 1.5 hours and caused me to miss my event."
