Fortunately, LUFTHANSA informed us of this fact at checkin and we purchased carriage with checked in baggage. This makes me wary of buying tickets through KAYAK in the future."

I arrived 3 hours and 40 minutes in advance of the flight and traveled only 25 feet toward the check in desk in over 5 hours. When we went to the information desk, we were told that the flight would wait for the passengers to be processed...but we never were and the flight took off only 35 minutes later than scheduled. it was the worst flying experience I have had in over 50 years!"

We were assured it will be delivered same day. It wasn't. It was Christmas and we had to drive to another airport to get it otherwise we would have been left without the luggage for the entire holidays, our gifts were in it. We had to spent time away from our family and drive 2plus hours to get the bag."

Some people even had to missed there flights altogether! Lufthansa, from the 4 times I have flown with them always seems to be late with no sense of urgency. Ultimately after arriving in Venice, I get an email that my bags did not make it, yet I was told by the boarding agent that the plane was still loading our bags."

We had to be re-routed via 3 separate flights jus to make our international connection thanks to our initial flight being moved up 2 hours EARLY. They closed the door in our faces. That added 8 hours of travel time to our trip which I had booked to minimize travel time as I was traveling with pets. United is the WORST."

Sent me back to find an Air Canada rep in customer service. That rep's scanner worked, and then they had a five minute discussion about it. Had to go back thru passenger scanning. Flight's gate was changed. Finally got to gate, flight was delayed, no updated information. Another 30 minute wait on the tarmac. Flight attendant in business class didn't do a cabin check before take off, man next to me continued phone convo during taxi-to-take-off whilst two gentlemen in front of me had their seats back for take-off. Bad service."

Cons: "To pay so much for a transatlantic flight and have to pay $10 for an IPad on the 8 hour trip home??? It would be nice if even limited internet was included so we could use our own device. The worse experience was getting through customs at the airport in Barcelona on the way home. Only two agents available to stamp passports on a Sunday morning when the world's largest cruise ship (Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas) had docked earlier that morning? We arrived at the airport at 8:30 and no Air Canada agents were available to check us in until 9:00. After waiting to get through customs and we proceeded to our gate, our 11:45 flight was just beginning to load! Lots of shoving and people cutting line to avoid being late for their flight. I heard one person mention they had missed their flight, and I'm certain many others did as well. With the chaos and delay, I'm surprised altercations didn't happen. The airports/airlines need to work with the local authorities to avoid these delays and provide their customers better service."

The attendant didn't seem to care at all when the mistake was pointed out, nor did she fix it. Snacks and drinks were essentially flung at us with the care of throwing slop at farm animals. Which pretty much describes the quality of the meal."

Then the airline doesn't even have the decency to give me a pillow because I was sitting in coach. If this is what airlines are becoming, i can't wait for the hyperloop one to force them into bankruptcy. The lack of respect for their paying customers is asinine."

We were under the presumption that we had to check in at airport when we didn't get check-in notice. Furthermore, they sold our tickets, so we're down $2500 and they doubled their profit. It would be hard for me to say I will use Air Canada or kayak in the future."

Finally flight attendant wouldn't even talk to me about moving from a broken seat to one of the 2 vacant seats available on this small aircraft. When I attempted to ask a second time she waved a reserved for flight crew sign (apparently she needed both seats to sit down during the flight and eat her lunch and read) I will fly Air Canada again because MOST of the personnel were a class act... Just not particular flight attendant on that particular flight). I must note that on that same leg of flight going the outgoing direction the male flight attendant was excellent"

When I was able to stand in line and ask what was happening I was told they would rebook connections when we landed. The announcement finally came after everyone cleared the line. I've been flying 4-5 times a year for about 20 years and never had such bad communication."
Cons: "When we checked in we were told everything was on time. When we should have been boarding, we were told there was no pilot. That took just over an hour to rectify. When we finally landed at Lauderdale, we were told there was no gate - surely they would have known this when we took off from Ottawa!? We sat waiting for at least 45 minutes before having access to the gate. Beyond frustrating when we were already late and inconvienced!"
