baggage staff was super rude. She told me I am the last passenger on the plane which wasn't true. She made me pay $50 because of little overweight. I could easily redistribute the weight among my bags if she gave me little chance. I was a single mom with two kids (3 months and 3 years old) had to pay a fine which I can't afford. Smaller airports make travel easier, and more relaxed. No frills--to get even water on the flight you'll pay for a bottle. Personnel all tend to be friendly and helpful. With Allegiant I've learned to pack lightly and plan travel carefully. It's been worth it as I have been able to see friends and family more often. We even took an impromptu vacation this year when we found a great deal on airfare.

Gate agent did not start forcing check in, which caused delay in boarding. Ground crew did not stock aircraft until 20 minutes after scheduled departure time. and DFW did the usual 20 minute taxi and then 15 minute hold prior to take off.

Boarding

American screwed up on the flight to Harrisburg. The booking software had the wrong plane in the system and they way overbooked the flight. My seat was at the front of the plane. Due to the booking system issue, they moved me to the very back of the plane. I am a business traveller and this is a big inconvenience. This is the second time this has happened to me. American doesnt take the issue seriously when I talked to supervisors. Originating out of Kansas City they told me I had to talk to the Charolotte desk. Charlott coulndt get a supervisor before my flight left. Linwood, the supervisor in Harrisburg couldnt do anything. This practice of selling one seat and replacing it with another is called bait and switch. It is illegal and unethical. I would have booked another flight plan or airline if I had this seat in my plan to begin with. I manage a team of 8 people and make the travel plans. This poor service will affect my purchasing decisions in the future and which airline I choose to use. Two members of my team were travelling to Harrisburg on different flights. Ryan, had his connecting flight delayed and delayed and finally cancelled at 10pm. He ended up driving from Philadelphia to make a business commitment. He didnt get in until 12:30am the next day. Christian, flew in connecting through Philadelphia and he had two delays but finally made it. He didnt arrive to the hotel until 12:10am the next day. This is unacceptable. American needs to get their act together and plan appropriately.

The only decent point was the food. Not great but at least edible.

Since check in in São Paulo was a complete chaos. There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!

parking my car 2 weeks in Asheville Long term was $96. I should have gone to Charlotte, parked at my friend's house and paid AA the same rate for a nicer seat and cabin leg room. a la carte pricing ran my bill up even with NO checked luggage. Asheville doesn't have a shuttle service for the long-term parking.

This flight was miserable. Seriously, one of the worst flight experiences I've ever had. The leg room was absurdly small. I'm not a tall person and I only had one inch in front of my legs. When the guy in front of me put his seat back it pressed into my knees. There wasn't enough space to bend down and untie my shoes, let alone get something out of my bag. My shoulder and knee were touching the guy next to me (a complete stranger) for the entire flight and there was nothing I could do about it. This was a red-eye but I absolutely could not sleep because it was so uncomfortable, so when we landed I had a terrible migraine and was nauseous and disoriented going through customs. I actually had to sit down in the airport because I though I was gonna pass out while trying to carry my bag, that's how shitty I felt after this flight. On top of that, not being able to sleep on the flight really messed up my sleep schedule and so jet lag from the time change has been made even worse, so I'm completely out of whack and its so much worse that it otherwise would have been because of the horrible flight. Also the food was gross and there wasn't enough of it. Even now, I don't think I have really communicated just how shitty this flight was. I was actually angry when I saw my seat upon boarding, and I'm still angry about it now.

Luggage that had recently been purchased and used only once was DESTROYED. Punctured completely through the hard sided case and cracked the length of the luggage - this is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. Employees need to realize that we PAY for our luggage to be handled not manipulated. Maybe some people have money to burn, but for us, this is a hardship.

Our plane was defective so had to be replaced. This is fine, I certainly am willing to wait for a new plane if it means not blowing up over the ocean. The problem was how little the attendants at the gate communicated the situation to us. What should have been a brief layover became a 12 hour nightmare. The gate attendants did finally issue meal vouchers but they waited until 10 minutes before all the restaurants closed and only issued $10 a person. This is enough to buy a hot dog at an airport... We were told there wouldn't be any rescheduling of missed connections until we were "airborne". This resulted in mass panic and confusion upon reaching our destination. We were told to go to the service desk, half an airport away, but once the entire passenger contents of the plane arrived at that far flung service desk, we were mostly turned away to seek help at individual gates. This lack of communication meant I missed the next next available connecting flight and now have a further six hour layover. I understand accidents happen and planes can break down but the nearly complete lack of care and customer attention is, frankly, disappointing. I've now had nearly an entire day added to my travel time. If I'd been willing to loose that time I would have paid $600 less for my ticket. United finally offered a token of their appreciation : a $100 e-voucher. I have spent more than that on food and coffee in airports for the past two days while trying to survive until my next connections.

From the start our trip was awesome. Everyone from the shuttle driver to the pilots to the ground crew the flight crew Etc were extremely friendly and very very helpful. I was traveling with a first-time flyer and he was impressed extremely impressed this is the second time this year that I've flown with United and I will continue to fly United thanks to all of you for help making this trip perfect

Plane sat on runway & subsequently returned to gate due to mechanical issue resulting in 2.5 hour departure delay. Boarding was chaotic - flight attendant said procedure not consistent with UA practices. Food only available is purchased from UA, and what food was available ran out (I never did get fed on the 11+ hour flight). Cabin very cold.

Our plane was defective so had to be replaced. This is fine, I certainly am willing to wait for a new plane if it means not blowing up over the ocean. The problem was how little the attendants at the gate communicated the situation to us. What should have been a brief layover became a 12 hour nightmare. The gate attendants did finally issue meal vouchers but they waited until 10 minutes before all the restaurants closed and only issued $10 a person. This is enough to buy a hot dog at an airport... We were told there wouldn't be any rescheduling of missed connections until we were "airborne". This resulted in mass panic and confusion upon reaching our destination. We were told to go to the service desk, half an airport away, but once the entire passenger contents of the plane arrived at that far flung service desk, we were mostly turned away to seek help at individual gates. This lack of communication meant I missed the next next available connecting flight and now have a further six hour layover. I understand accidents happen and planes can break down but the nearly complete lack of care and customer attention is, frankly, disappointing. I've now had nearly an entire day added to my travel time. If I'd been willing to loose that time I would have paid $600 less for my ticket. United finally offered a token of their appreciation : a $100 e-voucher. I have spent more than that on food and coffee in airports for the past two days while trying to survive until my next connections.

From the start our trip was awesome. Everyone from the shuttle driver to the pilots to the ground crew the flight crew Etc were extremely friendly and very very helpful. I was traveling with a first-time flyer and he was impressed extremely impressed this is the second time this year that I've flown with United and I will continue to fly United thanks to all of you for help making this trip perfect

Free movies, and crew were helpful once we were in the air

Gate agent did not start forcing check in, which caused delay in boarding. Ground crew did not stock aircraft until 20 minutes after scheduled departure time. and DFW did the usual 20 minute taxi and then 15 minute hold prior to take off.

The only decent point was the food. Not great but at least edible.

Since check in in São Paulo was a complete chaos. There were only 2 people helping on check in (in machines) and these people were still not helping people (like me) with questions about on how to do check in in those machines. On the other hand to dispatch the bags there were almost 8 attendants to receive the bags. Ridiculous! I’ve tried calling American Airlines and Latam several times to assign a seat for me and they swore there were only middle seats but I know how airlines work to make extra money on these seats. At the end, they only gave me a middle seat option and I had to take I.t of course. On the plane I realized there were dozens of empty seats and yet they made sure not give them to me or anyone else. Unbelievable! Unfortunately I still have to use AA on my way back to Brazil. After this, I’ll chose another airlines for sure. Also, the 3,4,3 arrangement is ridiculous: there’s no corridor space making people touching you everything someone passes by your seat. And boy! Those seats are so uncomfortable and there’s no way to incline the chair so you can even have a little rest (because it’s impossible to even sleep on those seats). The crew were simply doing their jobs! No pleasure! No smile! No engaging with anyone unfortunately! They looked miserable and I asked for water and the flight attendant NEVER brought me anything. Seriously! Water is free!

PA system delayed the flight to cancellation. Waited all day until they said we should consider switching our flights. Missed our connector. Had to red eye in to an entirely different location and drive straight to work because the mess. Awful.

American screwed up on the flight to Harrisburg. The booking software had the wrong plane in the system and they way overbooked the flight. My seat was at the front of the plane. Due to the booking system issue, they moved me to the very back of the plane. I am a business traveller and this is a big inconvenience. This is the second time this has happened to me. American doesnt take the issue seriously when I talked to supervisors. Originating out of Kansas City they told me I had to talk to the Charolotte desk. Charlott coulndt get a supervisor before my flight left. Linwood, the supervisor in Harrisburg couldnt do anything. This practice of selling one seat and replacing it with another is called bait and switch. It is illegal and unethical. I would have booked another flight plan or airline if I had this seat in my plan to begin with. I manage a team of 8 people and make the travel plans. This poor service will affect my purchasing decisions in the future and which airline I choose to use. Two members of my team were travelling to Harrisburg on different flights. Ryan, had his connecting flight delayed and delayed and finally cancelled at 10pm. He ended up driving from Philadelphia to make a business commitment. He didnt get in until 12:30am the next day. Christian, flew in connecting through Philadelphia and he had two delays but finally made it. He didnt arrive to the hotel until 12:10am the next day. This is unacceptable. American needs to get their act together and plan appropriately.

Plane was old and dirty, seat pocket had junk in it. Seat was broken and couldn’t stay up. In flight movies were from few years back with a center tv and no head rest screen. Crew on overseas flights tend to be older in age and less tolerant..much better on continental on the same route.

Flight delayed missed connecting flight. Second flight delayed missed connecting flight. Overnight in airport expected unless united pays for hotel. Absolutely miserable. Paid 430$ one way for a 25 hour flight. Will never fly United again.
