Cons: "My issue with flying back American is that...I didn't. They boarded us on the plane, moved down the tarmac, and then checked to see that we had a brake problem. They took our plane out of service (which I get, I would want brakes before takeoff), but then they never updated us on our status, until I physically went to the counter to ask an hour later. This is when they informed me that the flight was cancelled and we were rebooked on the 9pm flight (Mind you, this is 12:30p and I have a 2 year old with me). Luckily, I was able to book JetBlue and get home earlier (8:00pm)"

Cons: "This was a plane with central screens along the aisle, and the airline chose to broadcast a sci-fi action movie with almost constant flashing blue light, and violent action scenes. This was first of all a movie that many people, including me, would never choose to watch, but since it was on the aisle screens there was no getting away from it. It was also unsuitable for children, even without sound. But mainly, I object to the showing of any film in that situation - only aisle screens available, and on a night flight where most of the passengers are trying to sleep. I was awakened several times by the flashing lights. Other things: one of the bathrooms was not very clean, and the plane felt like the usual cattlecar, with just 3 seats on each side of the aisle, which is unusual and unpleasant for a transatlantic flight."

I suppose it's the way to keep flights cheap, but it's not fair to pay if when you arrive first, you have to pay to change for another seat... One free luggage of 23 kg when you cross the Atlantic is not enough..."

I had to fly a red-eye from San Fran to Boston getting in at 6AM with meetings that started at 10AM...had to BUY a day-pass at the Admirals Club (I feel this could have been provided as it was mechanical issues that caused the delays). THEN my trip from Boston home were delayed so they switched me to another flight and then THAT one was delayed twice so I actually got home later than if I had taken the original flight! Overall the flights really sucked!!"

Cons: "One of the few things SouthWest, Alaska & United did was the proper queuing of people to get into the plane. AA is a free for all - those who follow regulations will fall behind. In this flight from Boston to LAX - I heard there were 80 Priority checking - are you kidding me. Group 1 does not help if I have 80 Priority seating and one family took 12 people in with one elderly. It's good to place Elderly and Military up front first - but to take the Whole entire family - that's not fair - you have 8 able bodies who should be in line with the rest of the crowd. Also who heard of 80 Priority check ins - normally, that's Group 1. Never flying AA unless I a desperate."

Pros: "Cost of flight was pretty reasonable in spite of the normal up-charging that Spirit puts you through when you go to check in online and find that the only remaining seats are going to cost extra. Flight lft on time and arrived a bit early."
Cons: "The flight attendants stood in the back of the plane for most of the flight and talked/shouted to each other so loudly that I could hear their entire conversation even though I was seated quite a few rows away. If a passenger was talking that loud people would complain and they would be asked to keep it down. Very unprofessional and rude!"

Cons: "I have flown on a lot of budget airlines, both domestically and internationally, but this was my first time flying with Spirit....and it will be my last. I am used to the a la carte pricing and know how to avoid additional charges, so I wasn't expecting anything different than usual. What I wasn't prepared for were the smallest seats I have ever seen. Granted, I am 6'2", but these seats cannot be anything but pure torture to anyone over 5'9". If you're shorter, maybe it's worth it, but I can't guarantee it. But, if you're 6' or taller, I would recommend you avoid regardless of how much cheaper the flight is; It's not worth it."

Pros: "When the flight was delayed and has a risk to be canceled the desk representative helps to change my tickets to another flight at no extra cost and without any delays. I like this extremely customer friendly service when representatives make an extra step to provide a solution!"

Need speaking training. Talk way to fast, slur their words. Will NEVER fly Spirit again. You get what you pay for."

I ended up paying over 500 dollars and having to sit at the airport for 10 hours. Never will fly with them again. The lady was very rude to me and could have easily just printed the ticket and let me on my way. I could have easily made the flight. They are out to nickel and dime you."

They deducted $152 from my husband account online and I also gave them $45 cash at the counter and they also made me to miss my flight because of the delay. 70 kg luggage and I paid a total of $195. That's fraudulent."

Cons: "Their company model appears to be to treat customers like cattle, ergo have too few agents, 100s of people in line to CHECK PREPAID bags, and to cancel flights at the last minute (including emptying a plane already loaded and on the tarmac)...and those people are corralled into additional lines to use the same few agents to mitigate Spirit's ridiculousness. Spirit finds it STANDARD to require 1-2 hours to stand in THEIR LINEUPS. NEVER AGAIN, SPIRIT."

I paid extra for my emergency row seat to be comfortable due to my clastrophobia and was miserable. He was coughing all over me and had his body on top of mine in my chair. Calling Spirit to get this refunded was even worse to speak to someone, no one cares. I cancelled my return flight due to how bad it was and paid $300 to fly Southwest one way! I am upset!"
Cons: "I understand if the flight is cancelled due to weather conditions, but we were able to get on another flight at the exact same time to the exact same destination, just through another airline. In addition, prior to my cancelled flight I barely received any emails letting me know of the status change and received NO phone text message. Spirit should text every person if a flight is cancelled. Lastly, it has now been 6 full days and no one has reached out about my refund. I requested it at the airport but have not received anything in the mail or via phone call. Disappointing customer service and horrible management."
