Pros: "Due to an oversight on our part my wife and I had seats that were apart. The boarding agent took the time to figure a way out to put us together - even when she encountered some initial challenges and we said that it wasn't that important."

Low and behold, security said my barcode was not valid and had to run back and forth to get a new one printed. What made it worse was the check in clerk wanted to argue her point and there was only one flight attendant available and boarding closed 12min prior to departure, I was standing and waiving through the gates window trying to get all the flight attendants attention. I could have made it but missed my flight. Horrible experience!"

Pros: "Alaska is one of the best airlines to fly these days, and I've flown most. I have my mileage program on another airlines but I'd switch to them all the time if I could."

Pros: "Terrible that I had to carry my carry on down the stairs to plane, lucky it wasn't raining, & then up a flight of stairs to plane with a torn rotator cuff. I felt like I was flying in the 70's. Coming back, a bald headed attendant was very rude. I did not get any refreshments on the way to Portland which they said was a rough ride but ride was smooth. That was ok, that didn't matter if our safety was involved. Also $25 for one bag is a lot to carry hair spray or a few things you can't carry on."

Pros: "I booked my flight through Alaska airlines. On the flight to CA it was required my 5 year old sit on her booster seat which we loved. The stewardess on the way back (this flight) refused to let my daughter sit on it and tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about. I pulled up policy and it stated the child was in fact supposed to sit in her booster. The woman was rude and snotty about it. Lost my business just from her attitude."

Cons: "After a delay of about an hour on a very full flight the gate agent asked for volunteers to check their rollaboard suitcases. The gate agents then allowed those who checked their rollaboards to board before Zone 1,which was fine. However, a bunch of people without gate check stickers on the rollaboards were also allowed to board before Zone 1, which was aggravating. There was a long delay on the tarmac, during which we had to pull back to the gate or to a maintenance area before we finally took off. When we arrived in Vegas there was no gate for us to pull into, which led to another long delay of an already long and delayed flight."

Pros: "I have never seen a gate attendant call each person by name as she scanned their boarding passes! At Delta I felt welcomed by every employee. Even the pilots greeted the passengers as they exited. All the other airlines just want my money, they want to cram me into smaller and smaller spaces and want me to sit there and shut up so they don't have to interact with me. I will fly Delta every chance I get, even if I have to pay more money."

Pros: "It's a rather short flight. We grabbed 12A and 12B (should've gone for 10A and 10B when the choice was there) as knees started to hurt. Fine SLC lounge one is fine (mac-and-cheese, chicken, Baileys behind the bar, etc.) to make you happy prior to departure."

Gate agents disappeared after 7pm becuase they were due to be done with their shifts when our flight was originally supposed to leave at 6 pm. It felt like we were trapped in the movie The Terminal. Oh! And our bag was misrouted, because that was just how things went those 2 days. All in all a 6 hour trip turned into 18 hours. I could have driven home in that amount of time!"

Even with headphones on, this child's crying persisted to pierce the ears of every passenger within 5 rows of it."

Cons: "Maybe this is a China issue and not the airline but I wasn't able to bring an unopened bottle of water that I purchased in the security area. This made the 10 hour flight very uncomfortable as I went hours without water. Also, use of iPad for reading books wasn't allowed after the flight was established, I'm not sure who came up with these regulations but after spending a month on various flights in Asia, this was the only flight where I encountered these issues. Also, there was no vegetarian option in economy. Fortunatly, the staff brought a left over dinner from business class but I find it hard to believe that flight to the US would not have a vegetarian option."

We were informed as we were boarding and had to scramble to remove the laptop from our carry-on and help up passengers behind us from boarding. A totally unnecessary stressful situation created by the gate agents for failing to share information. Once we got onboard we saw carry-ons larger then what we were forced to check-in. Evidently, enforcement of standards is at the gate agents' discretion."

Cons: "The counter agent charged us for one bag when it should have been free. According to her, there was nothing she could do as that's what the computer stated. She did mention we have a receipt so we can ask for a refund. Why was she even there?? Could have done the same with a kiosk."

When we realized we left our diaper bag at security in the airport, he offered to help us find a diaper by asking other passengers with kids. They were very generous with diapers and wipes and it wasn’t great to experience the kindness of strangers."
Cons: "We couldn’t get the free in flight entertainment. The WiFi wasn’t strong enough. The snacks were fine, but looking back I don’t think there was any food offered for sale."

I didn’t have any luggage with me either I do not think it’s fair and I will not be flying American Airlines/Alaskan airlines ever again."

The amount of re direction to get to the final terminal was absurd .. that's just my venting My real problem is that then "crew" or team that represent s the American Airlines / compass part was just useless. A hand full of people - myself included didn't get a chance to board the plane as they didn't make any announcements. Beyond disappointing. When you check in they take your cell phone "in case " well no call no txt no nothing. It was a joke the level of service No apologies or anything just a group of any tired patrons getting the worst customer experience. I'll never EVER book a flight that has anything to do with American Airlines or its partners"

Cons: "Fight was operated by American. Alaska forced to wait in line and see assistance, then inform that because the flight is operated by American, they won't be able to check me in. Had to walk to a different terminal of LAX wait in 2 more lines and by the time they were able to assist it was too late to check in. Missed the flight, have to rebook a 3 hour later departure, move the meeting and take a flight back 4 hours later that has a layover and adds about 2.5 hours more on the return leg. Not to mention having to pay for the new seat."

The plane didn't provide charging stations for your devices, I would expect for a flight like this that you either have screens on each seat or you're be able to charge your devices"

Also, there was a delay of a couple of hours leaving Dallas due to a problem with the plane's radio, and the American employees handled it very well, keeping the passengers informed and smoothly transferring everyone to a substitute plane."

Cons: "Gate agent closed door and left the gate at least 15 minutes before departure, so when myself and other passengers arrived no one was there to board us, then she got upset at us. Tray table in 11F was broken. Catering delayed the flight, and never showed."

They didn’t even ensure that everyone wore seatbelts on landing - woman next to me was stretched out hugging her companion while landing wilth unbuckled seatbelt. Entertainment screen did not wirk properly."

I would have preferred that she tell me that the flight had finished boarding but customer service could help me get on another flight. I feel that would have been more professional. My new flight was also an hour late"

Cons: "Sat on the plane for over 2 hours due to mechanical issues, then there was a medical emergency, then the crew was over their time and had to be replaced, while deplaning there was another medical emergency, finally got in the air 4 + hours later. When flight landed sat on the tarmac for 45 min waiting for a gate! United offered a $50 voucher as compensation. Are you kidding me?!?!?! $50????? You cannot get a customer service person on the phone, they told me it is a "back room department" I had to email and wait to see if/what they will do. Absolutely ridiculous!!!"

Finally at a quarter till 11am the screen at the gate changed back to Denver but still said 9:55am departure flight on time but united's website stated flight delayed till 11:55am. Upon return to Albuquerque from Denver bag was not on my flight so I had to hang out in Albuquerque although, I live an hour away because I have prescription meds in my checked bag I need to take 4 times daily. Would not fly United again"

Tried to check in and check baggage at 9:30am but was turned away saying I could only check in 3 hrs prior to my flight. Came back at 3:00pm to check-in and they could not find my information. An hour later they find out that they cancelled the flight and moved my departure time to 8:25am for that day. They say they emailed 3 times in May but I never got it (I'm a bit crazy about my email staying clean) so they say it might have went in to my spam folder due to they types of emails they send to customers. They only kept repeating that they notified me so there is nothing they could do. I ended up going to Air Canada to get a flight from PHX to RNO the next day. No apology, no help, no hotel for the night...Terrible experience by United. They gave me a customer relations group contact information to follow up with for complaint but since they sent me the 3 emails in May about the change, they have no liability to fix the situation."

Cons: "The flight was overbooked and asked for several volunteers to take later flights for travel credit. Ended up forcing those unlucky souls in the last boarding group off flight with no offer of credit or accommodation. Waited in customer service line for hours, literally longer than it would have taken to take off and arrive at my scheduled destination. United representatives could not find a flight that guaranteed a seat (not on a long standby list) that was even in the same 12 hour period. I spoke with a United supervisor who showed zero empathy or concern with the situation. In the end I arranged for other travel accommodations to drive to my family reunion destination. No refund was issued or offered. I was informed I would have to call United customer service after the date of my previously scheduled return flight to explain my situation. I will personally never fly United again and would recommend the same to anyone. Although for the record, I did receive a single ten dollar airport food voucher for my inconvenience. Inexcusable."

Frontier told me that kayak booked me on two separate flights with two separate tickets and because of that they couldn’t check my bag to my final destination. booking through kayak was a huge inconvenience"

Cons: "Frontier had 2 flights out of FLL all day. 1st scheduled to leave at 10am to Trenton. Our's to Cincy at 4. Trenton put passengers in and they sat on the tarmac back the APU was broke (essentially plane's starter). Then people finally were able to get off the plane. Meanwhile, our flight to Cincy couldn't leave because the airport wouldn't let us use a different gate! Apparently, Frontier wasn't paying what the City wanted so we sat there waiting for over 6 hours though our plane was at a different part of the airport waiting on is, we couldn't board and leave!!!"

I even had to pay $3 for a small can of Seltzer Water! I will never ever fly this airline again. Also, the seats were incredible uncomfortable and the tray isn't an actual tray you can utilize, so I sat with my computer in my lap (uncomfortably) the entire time. Everything was sticky and smelled bad, from the tray to the seats to the seat belts. Again – never flying Frontier again!"

Cons: "They do have hidden fees... such as printing your boarding pass, choosing your seat (not a premium seat, just any seat!), and a fee for carry ons. At the gate they said they were going to charge $65 for a carry on, but if we wait until boarding they would charge $100. It's extortion, plain and simple. Luckily, I only had a backpack, so that didn't count. I also packed my own food, so I have no idea what they would have charged there. Make sure you print your boarding passes at home and let them assign you your seat, if the computer does it they won't charge you."

When the service cart came around, the gentleman sitting next to me asked the attendants if they charged for water! I'm only 5'2" and it was crowded. But the crowning insult was being charged $60 for each piece of carry on luggage. Neither Kayak or Frontier say upfront or easily identifible, that if you show up with a suitcase you pay for it. We were quite surprised and disappointed. Will never fly such a cheap airline again. To Frontier: really? Really? Include costs in your fares."

Cons: "There was absolutely no advance information regarding the additional cost for both checked and carry-on luggage. Apparently, the cost for checked and carry-on luggage varies from flight to flight, since what we were charged, $30 per bag checked and $40 per bag carry-on, differs from costs I see in other reviews. Additionally, we were not advised at any time prior to the flight that everything, including water, had to be paid for and only by credit or debit card. The seats were extremely small and there was no leg room whatsoever. If the flight had been much longer, we would have been in quite a bit of pain because we both suffer from a significant amount of arthritis. We were not offered a pillow...not even sure there were any pillows."
