Felt frostbite, couldn’t move fingers, and have a sinus headache. absolutely appalling this is NY and USA - yet we can’t have car services pick up pasengers outside the door of the airport, instead require to walk 7 minutes and stand in a freezing air tunnel airport garage. Changes my mind on flying to LAGUARDIA in the future"

Switched to a flight to D.C. with a connection to get to LGA. As soon as we sat down on that flight an announcement was made that we wouldn't make our connecting flight. Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc."

Cons: "When I arrived at the gate, the flight was on time, but no aircraft was at the gate. The gate attendants left at the time we were supposed to Board, then the departure time changed on the board and no announcement was made. Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."

Cons: "The overhead space was smaller on this plane and as I learned on my trip to DTW my weekender carry-on would not fit with my shoes in it. Because of this, I pulled my shoes out and put them in a collapsible bag that fit under the seat in front of me along with my small personal bag as I had done on my previous flight. However, the gate agent would not allow me to board the plane and would not listen to my explainations at all as I tried to keep the boarding process moving along. She kept repeating "you have 3 bags" and made me steep out of line and check my carry-on (which I would then have to pick up at baggage claim). When I asked why I couldn't get out on the jetway like she had done for other passengers she said, " I only did that for airline employees" (quick happened to be a flight attendant from Spirit). My overall experience on both flights to and from Detroit was that the gate agents and flight attendants were the most unhelpful and rude airline employees I have delt with and I will stick to my preferred carrier, Delta, for my future flights back and forth to Detroit. They certainly make me feel like a valued customer when I fly them, which I did not feel with American."

Cons: "The flight attendants were highly rude and i felt as if i was discriminated on. I was sitting in the back and the flight attendant who was suppose to assist us made us feel like i was a bother to her. First of all she just rudly dropped biscuits on my table didnt ask if i wanted and then I had to ask her for coffee, she didnt ask me if i wanted something to drink. Finally she brought my daughter and I some coffee. i ask for sugar and she said im very busy you have to wait....eventually she gave me one packet of sugar. I had to ask for another sugar for my daughter , so when i ask she gets upset and tells me i have to wait but there as a white who ask for assistance and she was very polite to her."

Cons: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

Cons: "No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Cons: "The flight attendant was unfriendly at boarding. He did not say or play any pre-flight safety announcements. We were told the flight might have to refuel in Richmond due to major weather delays in LGA. When we were landing they said they expected a refuel and a quick turnaround in Richmond. On the plane after landing, I learned via my phone's internet the flight was cancelled. They never announced it on the plane. At the final moment before we disembarked, the crew told us to be sure to take our belongings. When we landed, Flightaware showed delays of 45 minutes at LGA. AA never took responsibility for the problem though the gate crew mentioned they canceled the flight because the crew was going to be over their maximum hours. AA really couldn't plan to allow for up to an hour delay? I feel disrespected and even deceived. Although it was clear that flight attendant really needed to get off that plane. At the gate, we were told there were no available flights to NYC and were stranded overnight in Richmond. AA did offer a hotel pretending it was a courtesy since they claimed the problem was weather related and not theirs. We chose to stay with relatives and were told AA could only provide transportation from the airport which we did not need. We often have problems and cancellations on this route from when it was branded a US Air route to the present, but this was egregious."

Cons: "This flight was on Canadian Air under the auspices of United. I was not allowed into the United Club lounge despite the fact that I had business class ticket. I was informed that a business class ticket isn't sufficient for using the lounge when flying domestic. It is only good when flying international. They call that customer service. I generally avoid domestic airlines because of the customer service. The flight attendants were not happy to serve you. It's a small flight but they didn't even offer a snack -- you had to ask for it. And then they brought over a small basket with nuts, chips, candy bars, and a muffin. I took a muffin and it stuck to the roof of my mouth -- very poor quality. When I asked for a snack the flight attendant replied cocktail or soft drink never saying whether or not a snack was available.. She said this a couple of times before I could repeat that I wanted a snack to which she replied you want something to drink with that. I've been on many short flights in Asia and they will deliver a full meal and you don't have to ask for it. There was no entertainment but United did send an email explaining how I could purchase entertainment to play on my own device."

Cons: "Pilot admitted error. They did not even know what was going on. 3 hours late due to last min maintenance after the plane had been on the ground since last night. No supervisor came even though we asked the captain to contact one. We were ignored. Total clusterfuck. Pilot was courteous and professional but front desk was Frazzled and incompetent. We were hugely inconvenienced and missed our obligations with no offer of compensation. Then when we finally get on the plane they kick us off!!!!!!!!!! Now they are saying a 630 departure for a 2 pm flight. This is beyond acceptable and I am about to call the local news and am sending them video of your gross incompetence. I want to be contacted at 815-527-1935 immediately. My time is valuable and no part of this delay is acceptable. I want full flight vouchers for this debacle"

I thought American was bad, but United beats them for worst customer service."

The original flight ended up cancelled and so we would have been delayed a day or 2. The ease of the switch was perfect and allowed to focus on our trip and not the travel. 5 stars."

Flight attendant was pleasant but she should have just kept her mouth shut if she was unsure. Our relationship status is none of her business. She meant well & is pleasant bur I was on call before & did look tired. Asking if my boyfriend was my son did not help the situation."

Cons: "When i originally boarded the flight i notices that the person next to me was an obese person that was taking over half of my seat when i went to the flight attendant and informed her she said she might not be able to do anything cause the flight was full. When door was about to close i noticed an empty seat and took. The thing that upset me is if there not been an empty seat i would have had to seat in a seat where there was no space and still would have paid the same as a person that is taking part of my seat and the flight attendant didbt even seem to care."
Cons: "My flight we canceled to LGA due to "weather". Every other airline had flights going to New York on schedule. To me, the reason was unbelievable. I was moved to a flight 12 hours later, at 540am. Not only was my flight time changed but I was now flying into a completely different airport. I had to stay in a hotel and pay $70 because United doesn't pay for a hotel if the cancellation is due to weather. I am outraged by this sudden change in plans. I will never fly United again and I will spread the word to everyone I know."

Cons: "Long line to board plane. 100+ people on jetway in Miami and it was very hot!! Very simple seats, not particularly comfortable. First time flying with Frontier and was surprised drinks and snacks not included. Costly, $650 for 4 seats Miami to LGA, one way."
Cons: "It was bad enough that we had a delayed flight but while we waited for 6 hrs. No one gave us water or anything. And then when we went on the flight the only thingthat was offered for free was drink we still had to pay for peanuts. Never again. You can't be the only flight out of NY and have NO Pilot available. The ticket was cheap but not worth it. I wish I would've seen the reviews before I booked"
Cons: "frontier was awful. they pushed our flight out of new york back three times and then canceled in the middle of the night, saying they didn't have partnerships with other airlines so couldn't get us out until the 25th (the day before our return flight). we talked to both customer service on the phone (20 minute wait to get someone) and gate agents and EVERYONE said they weren't authorized to give us a refund for any of the inconvenience and unanticipated expenses. ultimately we ended up flying out of philly (paying for our own bus tickets) on AMERICAN (paying for another flight with our own money) to get to our family in denver. on the way back they weren't going to let us check luggage for free, again saying no one was authorized to do that until thankfully they discovered a note from the manager we spoke to in nyc. otherwise they would not have given it to us even after we spoke to the manager in denver. we boarded our return flight to find that we couldn't sit down as someone had vomited (not frontier's fault), and that was the cherry on top. we just burst out laughing because the whole thing was a disaster. we ended up spending the same amount as our "inexpensive" frontier tickets and more on fixing the trip ourselves because they wouldn't help us at all. truly a terrible experience and i don't anticipate flying frontier again."

Cons: "Bait and switching pricing - awful. You have to pay for your seat - literally, along with your carry on bag. Cannot even get water on the flight - all beverages are charged. Gate staff tried to charge me an additional $50 for an 'extra length' seat, even after I explained to him that I had already paid for the 'perks' benefit and showed him my receipt and boarding pass. He insisted and I finally logged on to my phone and upgraded my boarding pass myself in his presence! All he said was, "wow. you made out." Awful awful. The best (worst)? They actually checked in and boarded a customer with a Delta boarding pass (it was crumpled, the gal was young and was just trying to make her flight, she was a bit confused.) THEY DID NOT SCAN THE BOARDING PASS!!!!! She boarded the plane and of course no seat for her. More confusion as she now had to get off and make her way to the Delta terminal, resulting in her missing her flight. It was the same brilliant gate clerk who I dealt with earlier. Frontier admins will hear about this as this breach of protocol was a serious security issue. Will never, ever, fly Frontier again."

Cons: "I paid $35 for my carry on bag. And even can't find the space to put it on the cabinet above my seat. Flight attendant just tell me to look for another space. They never help me anything. It took me a while to find the one far away from where I was seated. One of male flight attendant opened the cabinet above my head, maybe grab his stuff but one bottle of water fell down. It almost hit my head and luckily it just touched my shoulder. It was my horrible experience. I picked this flight because it fits my schedule. Next trip I will never take it any more."

Cons: "Tiny, firm, overcrowded seats. I had to pay extra fora seat that was literally no different than the rest. I had a surprise bag fee. The only complimentary thing was water. No entertainment whatsoever. This compared to a flight a week ago with better seats, even a little complimentary food, plus some entertainment. All for less money."

I don't know where to begin! from the rude receptionist at the counter telling me "I'm just following the rules..." to the uncomfortable seat that don't recline. my ticket cost me almost $500 to Denver, that should cost half! because the airline, forced a hidden fee of $40 for a carry on -both ways $80- ! and to top that, it was an uncomfortable ride, seats don't recline, and they had no Entertainment screen, no food, and rude service."

Cons: "Horrible from start to finish. Difficulty getting boarding pass from Kiosk. Constant gate shifting – four times with an 1.5 hr delay – ensures you can't wait comfortably for flight. Very poor communication. Had not expected a full-price fair ($250 one-way) to include zero amenities. Seats, that you pay extra for, do not recline. Counter staff appears to be trained to hassle and hustle customers rather than provide service. Flight staff was rude and irritable and rebuffed any attempt at friendliness."

Pros: "There were delays in LGA that kept us in Miami and the crew handled it really well. They kept us informed, let us deplane, helped us understand how this was way better than zipping north and running out of fuel from circling, etc They kept everyone very sane."
Cons: "The fees on carry-on baggage are not obvious enough. For my return trip I was aware, but it really changes how I feel about this "low priced" airline. Also, the seats don't recline unless you pay for "special seats" and the tray tables are a challenge."

Cons: "We missed out flight because Frontier originally delayed the flight 45 minutes, only to take off on time, with no announcement or update to the flight status online. We went to the gate 15 minutes after the original departure time to be told it had already taken off. We checked the status of the flight multiple times online to avoid this very thing and the online status never changed. When we went to the Frontier desk to re-book on another flight, the attendant told us she could get us to New Orleans (we were going to New York) - NOT HELPFUL. We ended up booking another flight on Delta to get us home."
Pros: "The pilot was nice and the plane was very clean."
Cons: "One flight attendant was yelling all over the plane instead of politely walking up to guests and informing them that the overhead baggage holders were full. Also, there seem to be a mix up with seating as before the plane doors closed, this same flight attendant allowed a guest to move to another seat, only for the ticket attendant to walk back on the plane and inform the flight attendant that she needed those seats. I usually fly with Delta, American Airlines, and in my 30 years of traveling have I not seen such unprofessionalism with regards to miscounted seats and the way the flight attendant handled those customers."
Pros: "We took off and landed safely."
Cons: "Extra charges for everything, including all bags, choosing a seat and even buying a ginger ale. The playful upbeat tone of Frontier Airlines is all gone."
Cons: "The Southwest-style pay for everything model, except that the base price of the ticket was fairly expensive. So I felt like I was being nickled and dimed and ripped off. Seats were horribly uncomforatble. Tray tables that hardly count as a table (my brought onboard meal wouldn't fit on it) and lack of any entertainment all made me feel like I was traveling in the cargo hold."

Cons: "There were two of the most loud & disruptive children on board traveling with a mother who had no interest in trying to calm them down or separate them. They were old enough to know how to behave and this all started well before the cabin doors closed - they LITERALLY drew blood from one another. Why did the crew leave it to other passengers to have to say something? If they had been drunk & belligerent adults they would have been removed but because they were belligerent children everyone looked the other way. It made for a completely miserable experience like none other I've ever experienced on any airline."

Cons: "The flight attendance wouldn't sell me water or give me water when I asked for it on the plane. This was before the plan was descending, so he literally had no excuse. She didn't even have the common courtesy to come to me and say she wasn't going to give me any water. We had to ask her why she didn't provide water even when she had a water bottle in her hand. I will never fly with Frontier again. Also they try and trick you with cheap airline tickets initially, but then charge you $40 for 1 checked bag each way and you don't get any perks! Not even water. This was terrible."

Pros: "The seats remind me of wooden school house chairs - narrow, hard (no padding) and don't recline. Fly another airline. By the time your done paying all the gotcha fees you didn't save any money flying this economic airline."
Cons: "Bare bones as it gets. There is zero entertainment - no tv, no wifi, ect. Seats are the cheapest I've ever seen in the travel industry. All the passengers were hunched forward because the seats were so uncomfortable. The trays are wide enough to hold two drinks. The trays can't hold a laptop or a magazine. Water is free which is one upgrade which is better than spirit. However, spirit had cushioned seats that recline."

Cons: "Barbara, the manager at Hartfield/Jackson in Atlanta is very rude and has no compassion or interest in customer service."
Cons: "My girlfriend and I struck up a conversation with a woman sitting next to us in our row about an hour into the flight. About 10 minutes after that we notice the woman in front of us is glaring at us, writhing around in histrionics, holding her ears, cursing to her husband and basically making every passenger around her look at each other wondering "what is going on with this woman"? Finally this woman turns around and is staring at us. I ask her if there is a problem, and she replies "yeah. There is. You're saying "like" too much. Can you just shut up?". Wrong thing to say to me. I called her a few choice words which I won't repeat, then her husband gets his tough guy act going, by this time everyone around our seats are uncomfortable at the rising confrontation. The flight crew come over and try to move them, but they refuse to move. My girlfriend and I end up moving our seats to avoid the flight being diverted and ruining everyone else's plans. For the last hour of the trip we sat seperately in the back of the plane. Once I moved I was speaking to an older couple next to me about their plans, showing a visiting family the features of the New York skyline as we landed and giving them advice on traveling in NYC, so apparently my voice didn't cause anyone else who wasn't either drunk or crazy to begin an argument with me. I know the issue has nothing to do with kayak or the airline, just a maladjusted few people that can't be in public, but that was hands down the worst flight I have ever had."
Pros: "This flight was horrible from start to finish. This was a flight from Miami to New York, scheduled to depart at 2:25 and arrive at 5:25. Around 1:30 we were told we'd be departing at 3:30 instead due to "weather at LaGuardia." I'd like to point out that countless friends and family, and also every weather app known to man, assured me there was absolutely no bad weather in the New York area and in fact there wasn't supposed to be until that evening, when there was a chance of thunderstorms. So if anything, delaying the flight only increased our chances of running into said bad weather. In any event, we boarded at 3pm and then around 3:30 were told we'd now be delayed again, probably departing around 4pm. So we sat on the runway like idiots. We did leave shortly after 4pm, and then once we got to the LaGuardia area about two hour later, we were told we needed to refuel (????) so we were being rerouted to Raleigh. About 40 minutes later we were told there was a storm in Raleigh so actually we would be going to Newport News. This is absolutely no joke, but the flight crew nor the pilot knew which state Newport News was in and upon arriving they announced we were in Virginia and said they knew that thanks to a Google search. Keep in mind it was now about 8pm and we had all been prepared for a short flight that would arrive hours ago, so everyone was beginning to get really hungry and irritable. This is where the flight crew started to really, thoroughly suck. In addition to being completely rude to anyone who tried to ask if we could get some more information, they were CHARGING people for water and offering nothing in the way of food. Only after a passenger begged did they dole out granola bars and cups half-filled with water around 9pm. Also, this entire time we weren't able to leave the aircraft and this was when the bathrooms decided to go out, and they were out of commission for about 30 minutes, so that was fun. We finally got into the air around 10pm and landed in LaGuardia by 10:50. Also, just a note, but when we took off in Newport News the weather had turned and there was heavy rain and lightning. We had no issue taking off during the storm, but apparently the storm was the reason for the initial delay? Whatever. Anyway we finally landed in LGA after being on that plane for 7+ hours. Then, just when we thought it was over, we were told there wasn't a gate open and we would need to sit on the plane and remain on the runway for about 30 minutes. 30 minutes was actually more like 45, so around 11:30 we finally, FINALLY could get off and I have never seen passengers de-board a plane so quickly. Overall this was one of the worst experiences ever, and while I try and be understanding when it comes to delays, what really put this over the edge was 1) the lack of reasoning for the delays and 2) the incompetency and rudeness of the crew. They made no one feel safe or comfortable. This was the absolute worst."

Cons: "The most uncomfortable seats I have ever encountered on an airplane, lack of information about ridiculous add-ons when booking the flight, carry-on more expensive then checked bags is counter-intuitive. The most disturbing issue was that an unavoidable delay (not the fault of the airline), was handled poorly by the pilot who subjected us to 20 minutes plus of a piercing high pitched, loud, cabin sound that became a health concern for several passengers. We will never fly Frontier again"

Other than that Frontier's service, from paying for your carry on and beverages and the ticket agents to the flight attendants was, I imagine, worse than a greyhound bus ride. I was able to download the frontier app and get my boarding pass, and make the flight (drenched in sweat from running through the airport) as they were closing the boarding door. Thank god for cardio and determination."
Cons: "There were five ticket agents at the counter when I got to the counter (an hour before my flight). All five of them were helping one person and talking to each other for about 10 minutes. Then one split off to help the next person in line - or just to get a laugh by telling the couple they weren't make their flight and they weren't going to drop anymore bags to the plane because we were close to the 45 minute cutoff before the departure time. Perhaps if they had been working as a team rather than a gang the whole lot of us would have been checked in on time. When I got on the plane (after asking folks in security if I could get in front of them and running like a madman through the terminal) the flight attendant was the pinnacle of passive aggressive annoyance. This was my first and probably last ticket I buy flying frontier."
