Good option in MexicoPros:Check-out and Check-in were faster than in the past when I have rented in Mexico (I have waited more than an hour at other companies).Cons:You have to authorize a giant deposit on your credit card when you rent in Mexico. This is not specific to Alamo. I also wish they had the electronic devices for check-in so you don't have to bring your paper agreement and then have then find your record on the computer.Reviewed Jul 11 2017

Renters didn't speak EnglishPros:Car was clean.Cons:Clerks didn't speak english. At first they tried to put me in an economy car (a 2-door tiny Spark) when I told them I got a Standard car. They couldn't understand, so I showed them a picture of my confirmation that clearly showed a 4-door standard car. Finally they got me the correct car. At checkout they Kept wanting to charge me insurance that cost more than the rental cost of the car. wanted to charge me extra for everything. When I said no, they said they had to put a $3000 hold on my credit card.Reviewed Feb 15 2017

Reservation not honoredPros:When we arrived agent said there were no guarantees about car availability and sure enough they had no cars available. We had to go without a car in Mexico making our trip difficult to get around.Reviewed Jan 1 2017
