Pros: The Relais Chalons D’Orange is an oasis of tranquility. The beautifully presented rooms are extremely comfortable with all amenities and have stunning views over the surrounding countryside. The breakfasts are delicious with home grown and locally sourced produce. Manuela goes out of her way to make your stay truly special. We loved our time there.

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: I loved the grounds and the setting of the property. It was a million dollar view. Absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were well appointed and service was 5 star. The breakfast was so fresh and tasty. All the juices and jams made on the premises. Manuela made our stay perfect

Pros: We loved everything about this property. The view was stunning with so much to explore in the local area. We loved the organic produce provided straight from the preoperty and the local valley. Highly recommend a visit to the local organic butcher. The meats and cheese, all locally grown were delicious. The best we have ever had. The most enjoyable part of our visit was talking with Manuela amd her mum Maria-Theresa. They radiate joy when speaking about their local region and their home made cakes and pastries and plum jam are delicious and they are happy ro share recipes. Truly a delightful experience and would love to visit again for longer.

Cons: Perhaps a small kitchen/bbq area would be beneficial for guests to cook their own dinner.

Pros: We stayed 6 days and the hotel was superb and the surrounding area was beautiful and peaceful - a beautiful place to unwind and chill with a great infinity pool and the staff and food was excellent.

Pros: I highly recommend staying here, we had a great time. Room: very good, neat, cozy, comfortable and the view from the room is amazing! Location: the Relais is very beautiful. The swimming pool is precious, nice beds at the pool, and the view from the pool is nice. You can walk in the garden and there are some seats in the garden, which is really relaxing. Breakfast: super good! Different cakes and sweets, yoghurt, muesli, fruit, juices, good (!) cappuccino, bread, fresh cheese, marmalades, and more! Hosts: super friendly and helpful. They advised us some restaurants which we really enjoyed, good recommendations and they understand what you are looking for. They always want to answer questions via whatsapp and they were really quick.

Pros: This agritourism is a very great place to stay. The hosts are really very very nice. The dinner and the breakfast were delicious! This place is decorated in a beautiful country style. We recommend this agritourism to 100%.

Cons: Absolutely nothing!

Pros: Traveling with a 6yo & 3yo, it’s not always easy to find comfortable, kid-friendly accommodation. All of us love this place though, the rooms are beautiful, the bathroom is generous & modern, the gardens & grounds are spectacular, the staff are helpful & lovely, the breakfast & breakfast view are especially memorable. Such a great stay, we ended up staying an extra night.

Pros: Beautiful setting with lovely gardens and nice pool. Good communication prior to check-in and during stay. Lovely food and service. Great location for short drives to Cassino or to the lovely nearby village of Alvito. Spacious room with all the facilities desired, e.g. air con, wi-fi, small fridge.

Cons: Two small issues. First, the air con is a ducted system and it took a long time to bring the temperature down on the first night of our stay, which did not help for a good sleep. Our hosts helped set it next day and it was better but not as responsive as a split system. Second, we were told that the property had a restaurant and we would be able to have a meal each night of our stay. Closer to check-in we were advised that a meal would not be possible on the first night. Our hosts offered to taxi us to a nearby restaurant for that night. When we arrived we found that the local junior soccer club was holding its awards celebrations that evening, which explained the unavailability of the restaurant. Unfortunately it also meant there were lots of people around the pool while we were trying to relax. Nothing major but it did take the shine off what we hoped would have been a relaxing stay with privacy.

Cons: Room was a bit dark, no views

Pros: Lovely Agriturismo, surrounded by the beautiful Appennine mountains! Easy going hosts, beautiful swimming pool and nice, spacious rooms.

Cons: The cancellation policy was uncompromising. I booked two rooms for three people and was given a suite that slept 4 PLUS an additional room. Obviously an error had been made when booking, but I was forced to pay for both rooms. We only used 1. The security was poor. One room in the suits for 4 people had no lock, and we were we asked for our key when we went out for the day so they could clean. On return, the key was in the door! They have taken the trouble to make sure the place is clean and fresh, but the rates were very high for an agrotourismo. The food was fair, but nothing special. Disappointing, and we will not be returning.

Cons: I wish we were told that there was a private event going on so we couldn’t use the pool facilities.

Pros: The staff were so kind and helpful. We arrived after lunch and before dinner so they prepared us a spread of food with wine and didn’t even charge! The whole place smelled like lavender. It was heavenly!!

Pros: What a fantastic discovery - a small, historic, very friendly town. A great location. A Palazzi that has been renovated to the highest standards - large and very comfortable rooms, beautifully furnished, with the latest technology (security, wifi, industrial air-conditioning). Friendly and extremely helpful owner/managers.

Pros: Fantastic restored historic house right in the centre of Atina. Easy parking outside. The owner Danielle and his wife couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Danielle gave us a advice in the morning at breakfast of the best places to see in Cassino. Atina is the best place to stay near Cassino which has been bombed flat and is all post war. Fabulous scenery surrounded by mountains.

Pros: Gorgeous and immaculately clean small hotel run by the charming and wonderfully welcoming Daniele and Alessandra. Lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast. The town of Atina is just stunning - interesting and picturesque old buildings, quiet cobbled streets and beautiful views over the lovely countryside around it.

Cons: Very little. To be really picky, the Wi-fi signal in our room could have been stronger, and the top floor rooms may not be ideal for very tall people or those who find bending difficult, as they have sloping ceilings and some low beams. For the same reason, they have baths rather than showers. Maybe ask for 2nd floor if this is an issue. But 3rd still lovely.

Pros: The family running Il Fascinaro is so kind and open. We had some great days there, where we tasted the delicious food they produced themselves on the farm and got great advice on what to see in the area

Pros: Great location, Annina and Giovanni were so caring and gentle. They made us feel at home and as part of the family. Breakfast out at the deck was unbeatable and Annina's dinners served by Giovanni complete with the fireplace going was everything we could wish for. We will definitely return.

If you want to be away from busy days & city, this is a great place: quite, relaxing, very clean, friendly and within an hour you can be in a city or at the beach, or in big mountains . Pros: My family and I stayed at Agriturismo Il Fascinaro during our recent trip to Italy, and we could not have had a better experience. The property is so beautiful and offers incredible views, with plenty of greenery and outdoor space to relax. Our rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. Francesca and her parents were attentive, caring hosts who treated our family like their own. The food they prepared for us was exceptional, and their company was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend Agroturismo Il Fascinaro to anybody interested in staying nearby, or just passing through. Our experience truly was one that we will cherish forever, and was easily the highlight of our trip. I look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you!

Pros: A lot of space, a bath! Great views just around the corner! The lake down the village is beautiful. Mario is a fantastic host, because I came by bus, he drove me to the lake and back. He also dropped me off at the bus station after my stay. That was super friendly. If you want you can cook yourself, but take groceries (there is no supermarket)

Cons: Breakfast is toast and croissants from the supermarket, but the coffee was great!

Pros: On our way from Rome, travelling east we stopped here. Also wanted to visit Monte Cassino. Very friendly hostess and nice with the pool in the morning.

Pros: Wonderful apartment, with a bedroom window that frames the sunsetting. Comfortable, clean, large and practical, in a beautiful part of the world with close access to nature and walking trails. Andrea and his family were beyond wonderful in seeing to our needs, and we so enjoyed the food at his restaurant, Agriturismo Il Casale Ristorante. Highly recommended.

Pros: I like the surrounding environment, beautiful scenery, birds sing and fragrance of flowers. The room has a balcony that you can enjoy. The breakfast is good. I like the fresh squeeze orange juice very much. It is very sweet.

Pros: This is a hidden treasure. It is quaint, clean and the restaurant is wonderful. We have been 5 years in a row and I wish our other hotels were as satisfying. The management is more like family and go out of their way to make you feel that way

Cons: A bit of a bare bones operation in midwinter. Owner speaks little english, which made communication difficult--sorry to sound like an ugly American, but many places that are this modern have at least one english speaker on staff. Plus, he insisted on holding our passports while we stayed overnight, even though every other hotel in Italy where we stayed made a copy of info needed and returned them quickly, and his insistence was a bit unnerving. Wondered if he did not have a copy machine? Plus, he put the passports in an area where they could have been easily taken (ie not locked and easily accessed). Could not get hot water in shower to work.

Pros: Rooms are very comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful.

Cons: Eggs were only served hard-boiled at this point. I have 3 more days here. No liquid soap in the bathroom . No body wash or face cloths or blankets in the closet.

The room was really comfortable and the pool with sun beds all around was a really enjoyable experience. The staff were extremely accommodating to us and attended to our every need. Pros: The property was so beautiful. It was quaint and had an old fashioned decor to it. It was very cosy and the air con was perfect. The bed was very comfortable. It was beautiful scenery all around. The pool was fantastic, the waiter at the pool was so accommodating. The receptionist was so helpful in every single way as we didn’t have much Italian, they would help us with our every want and need. The breakfast was also lovely. It’s a great place for a get away of peace and quiet.

Cons: Breakfast is a bit basic. We thought is was going to be hard to find, on the quiet country lanes which didn't appear on our map, but the signage is OK, provided you look out for it. It isn't in Settefrati, but it's not too far from there.

Pros: We were visiting italy on a grand turismo from india amd this place brought a breath of fresh air to our trip. After fighting a tourists life in the cities we booked this place for a 2 night stay and believe me that this place comes as advertised. The host simply maked you feel at home with her home cooked meals fresh from her very own garden.(miriam actually made a vegetarian meal just for us). We enjoyed the calmness of the village life in this place which miriams family owns since generations, and it shows, even on the antique charm of the furniture which is in the rooms. You will find many locals who come just to dine on weekends at this place. The small river which flows from the edge of the property is serene and super clean and its only 1.5 hrs from rome. The rooms are really big and comfortable and makes the stay more enjoyble to city folkes like us. I recommend this place to everyone.

Pros: It was a spacious one bed apartment, the kitchen was fully furnished there were even teas, coffee, pasta and rice and spices in the cupboards. The lady that takes care of the place met us when we arrived with a tray full of fresh brioche for our breakfast the next two mornings - they were delicious and the lady was so nice!!! She and her daughter gave us wonderful tips to move around the whole region! The parco nazionale d’Abruzzo Is amazing! And every turn you take on the road you find a more beautiful little town!!!

Cons: The only problem was a dog from a nearby house that started barking during the night... but we slept well the first night - the apartment is very cool inside even though the temperature outside was near the 30C!
