Cons: The restaurant ambience is cold. Not the temperature, but there is not enough light.
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast
Pros: It is a beautiful Inn. The King four poster bed was amazing.
Pros: Staff, room, restaurant
Cons: A little gym would be great
Pros: Seamless checkin, with an upgraded room, segued into cocktails on the front porch. A delicious dinner -- again on the porch -- followed in the Inn's pub (which has a selection of dishes available from the Wed-Sat-only flagship dining room). Outstanding all around.
Pros: Atmosphere, comfort, friendliness.
Pros: Staff, food, pretty place, beautiful rooms
Pros: Great place- always our first choice, but usually it’s fully booked.
Cons: Wish you had a gym
Pros: The place in general
Cons: The room hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived
Pros: Great awesome place , beautiful , clean , we loved it!!
Cons: We had to take our own luggage up the stairs! That’s the only thing we didn’t like!!!!
Located in Millbrook, Millbrook Country House Bed & Breakfast is a 3-minute drive from Institute of Ecosystem Studies and 9 minutes from Innisfree Garden. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Amazing 1808 house, very friendly hosts, beautiful area!
Pros: The owner was very nice and charming. The breakfast was good: fried eggs with rosemary, seven grain bread and creme angleis. The house and ground were gorgeous. The rooms were beautifully decorated.
Cons: There was another family at the facility who were staying with a toddler. The child was quite loud and was up for hours. The bathroom was also not inside the room which was a bit odd for the a room in this price range. However, it is listed on the website so we weren't surprised.
Pros: The personalities of the Innkeepers
Cons: Bathroom separate from the bedroom
Pros: Cozy, owners greeting, breakfast, pretty, comfortable, elegant, quiet
Cons: The owner should have the bathroom amenities Like cotton balls, small body lotion , etc
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and the tea was very good. We travelled with our terrier, and the hosts were very accommodating.
Pros: Wonderful host, excellent breakfast.
Cons: Property is a bit expensive.
Pros: So quiet and peaceful. Perfect spot to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Jeancarlo was a perfect host. He made everyone feel welcome and his personality just added to the tranquility of the property.
Cons: I actually have nothing bad to say about the property. It was very quaint and maybe a little quirky, but that honestly just added to it's charm. I do recommend that you like cats, since there are two friendly cats in the house.
Pros: Giancarlo was the consumate host and made us feel welcome in his home. We felt like we had the run of the place, with two living room areas, comfortably furnished, and the dining area (as well as our bedrooms). Breakfast was served with flair and was delicious as well as a bit out of the ordinary, which we appreciated. Lovely stay.
Cons: The weather was not so great, but this enabled us to enjoy the place a bit more!
Located in Lakeville, Interlaken Inn & Resort is on a lake, a 4-minute drive from Holley-Williams House Museum and 6 minutes from Scoville Memorial Library. Featured amenities include a computer station and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The room was very big, comfortable beds and clean.
Cons: The internet service was very unstable. I couldn't do work in my computer and my calls were dropped.
Pros: The breakfast was not up to par. There were very few options available. I had yogurt and fruit.
Cons: The shower handle broke off in the morning. We had to get a key to another room in order to shower and be ready on time for our meetings at Hotchkiss School.
Pros: Great staff
Pros: Comfortable. Beautiful location. Friendly staff.
Cons: Building shows signs of aging. Lake is a bit of a hike from the hotel.
Pros: Breakfast was okay. Would have liked to have seen someone in the area to possibly have something made.
Cons: Not seeing anyone in the breakfast area, and no one available for an early checkout.
Cons: Integration of my reservation with Booking.com wasn't exactly smooth - but it worked out.
Pros: It was cute and quaint. That part of the country is really beautiful.
Cons: Had to share a bathroom with other guests. Parking was limited. It's a self serve place, i.e. there is no host. One has to just follow instructions from little posits all over the place. It is also very small, the other guest while very nice, and we had a pleasant conversation with them, were totally unavoidable. Finally, take the pumpkins off the stairs! I just about killed myself trying to get down the narrow steep steps, avoiding the pictures hanging on the wall to my left and the pumpkins on the steps to my right.
Pros: Perfect for our jaunt.
Cons: It was super weird. Nothing bad and the house was sweet but it looked like someone lived there and just left prior to our arrival. Their clothes and mementos were EVERYWHERE. It could be charming but it just felt weird.
Pros: Did not partake breakfast, but was available.
Cons: Television did not work for me, but read a good book instead.
Pros: Unusually quaint and quite comfortable small facility chock full of antiques located right across the road from a world famous sports car racing facility, Lime Rock,CT. The owner is quite personable and savvy of the Sports Car Racing World and its participants who stay there regularly. Full size shared bath was pleasant, "home-like" as well, that one would expect with plenty of hot water and fluffy towels.
Cons: There might be a little more instruction about the operation of direct TV.
Pros: We liked everything. We love Terry. Our biggest problem is how effusively positive to be because we dread finding there is no availability next time we want to stay.
Cons: We wish we had had more time to spend there.
Pros: Cozy, friendly location, great host. Looking forward to our Labor Day stay!
Located in Cornwall Bridge, Cornwall Inn and Lodge is a 5-minute drive from Kent Falls State Park and 10 minutes from West Cornwall Covered Bridge. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Too much road noise!
Pros: The general area is stunning and the Inn was perfect!
Cons: There was nothing I did not like!
Pros: The owner was very friendly and full of information. He gave me a local map and made good suggestions. The accommodations are clean but not special - the people are.
Pros: Good breakfast. Great location. Loved our room!
Pros: The Inn is historic, clean and comfortable; owner Mark is a delight! Very helpful, without being intrusive. Also, the owns are wine connosieurs, and offer free glasses to guests! Location was good for us, and the Inn is very clean, great King bed, and nice privacy. The breakfast was good, without being 'over the top'. Very good place to stay for a weekend in this area of Connecticutt - also close to Kent, Conn., which is a lovely town.
Pros: Lovely couple, made the stay so enjoyable, warm, pleasant.
Cons: No, everything was just fine.
Cons: Uncomfortable Bed, size of bathroom & lack of/inconsistent Wi-fi
Pros: Stacey welcomed us with a big smile. We loved our stay at this historic inn. It was lovely. Thank you
Pros: calm and quiet place. Little away from the main village. Housekeeper was helpful. There is so much of space available but rooms are rather congested.
Pros: Beautiful location and very welcoming feeling. Will stay again.
With a stay at Inn at Iron Masters in Lakeville, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Holley-Williams House Museum and Scoville Memorial Library. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Srarting with the door lock, horrible lighting, crumby furniture the lisy goes on. Was parking cost built into the room cost ? Breakfast was appalling, we had to go somewhere else.. THERE WAS ALMOST NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWER.
Pros: Sitting area to watch TV and desk in the room.
Cons: Room was cold
Pros: Close to Lime Rock
Cons: Price of location
Pros: Everything worked out very well.
Pros: They let us check in early.
Cons: Too expensive for the type of room and amenities.
Pros: This was a charming hotel which was very well maintained. We particularly liked the room size which was large enough to have chairs for TV watching. The location on the main road in Lakeville is good.
Cons: There was some delay at checkin. The continental breakfast in the morning was a few minutes late in opening. The breakfast offerings were conventional and would be have benefited from more interesting baked goods.
Pros: location and clean
Cons: two remotes for tv confusing
Pros: location in lakeville was excellent
Pros: I like the fact that the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Also the proximity of the in to our home in Millerton made it a convenient stay over.
Cons: A minor detail was the fact that there was no remote unit to control the air conditioning and so when it got cold at night we had to manually stretch our legs arms up to manage the air conditioner.
