Comfy beds, the staff Troy and Meisha were super accommodating and nice, we got a late check out which was really helpful. We also got a corner room with a great view.
The only parking available was $35/night, which I get is pretty standard for downtown properties, but we did have to find parking. Some of the furniture in the room was a little dinged up, could probably use some renovating. One of the elevators was having some issues but not a big deal.
The location of the hotel
The room was super dark even the bathroom need better lightening. I was Charge one price on Kayak and another price once I checked out. I showed the clerk my initial statement she said she don’t know why I was Quoted that and it was nothing she could do. I will not stay at the Ellis or book with Kayak again.
Over night stay.
AC unit was noisy and couldn't be controlled. Next door to a Jazz club that plays loud music till 1am. Easily heard in the room.
Excellent stay at The Ellis
Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Did not have to wait for a room Excellent service Convenient to downtown and venue Extra clean room with all amenities Best place to say if in Downtown Atlanta
Location: was accessible to the locations I was in Atlanta for.
Staff were very inattentive. Door man just sat on a bench on his phone, never once opening a door, receptionists were unable to find packages I had had shipped there. Food was across the board poor: paper shreds in my granola, green eggs in my cob salad, incorrect sides came with my room service. Cleanliness: in the room walls were scuffed, their was just smutz on everything! Like the lamp, countertops, etc. I was expecting a 4 star experience like was advertised but I would have been better off staying at a cheaper chain.
Three time guest
This was my third times staying here. It is always clean and the staff from the front desk to valet are all helpful and down to earth. It is close to everything I usually come to Atlanta for. It's within walking distance to the Georgia Dome for Falcons games, the aquarium, Coca Cola World and the Tabernacle that we see a lot of concerts at.
My only compliant is it seems I can never get the room cool enough.
Great friendly staff, nice restaurant and bar downstairs. Great location in downtown Atlanta.
Clean room, comfy bed
Noisy (street noise + doors in hallway). Restaurant is terrible, don't waste your money. Gym is small but acceptable if all you need is a treadmill or elliptical---bring your device because all tvs broken in some way.
Location was great. The decor was nice. The staff were helpful.
The rooms are small for a family. Parking is tough and best to valet.
The staff was friendly and professional.
$30 per night for parking
I like the closeness to things downtown (highways, shopping/dining), the comfy atmosphere and the staff
There isn't a refrigerator in the room
Convenient. Staff was helpful and polite.
Water pressure. No noise proofing. Uber could not find address. No hot water one morning.
Too noisy air conditioner
The stuff is nice, I mean they were really nice. Good breafast on the terrace and the hotel's location could not be better.
The views from some rooms are right to the next wall.
Every staff member made an effort to provide a little something extra. The valet retrieved a forgotten item from my car, the front desk sent a handwritten thank you note, and the bellman tended to every detail. In the restaurant, the server an hour after closing time to serve us and the chef came out to tell us more about the scrumptious dishes we were enjoying. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. The location couldn't be better... with a subway station across the street and short walk to Centennial Park. You can't beat The Ellis for great value. You won't find this much service in a hotel of this price anywhere else in Atlanta. We took as many photos of the hotel and staff as we did of our destination!
Cleanliness and courteous staff.
Attentive staff, comfortable room and bed, small boutique feel, organic cafe dining.
The staff was extremely friendly, the hotel location is excellent, the rooms and bathroom were very modern and well-equipped
If protecting the environment is really a concern (e.g., use fewer towels), why were there so many towels available in the bathroom? Plus, the breakfast was really pricey
modern and clean
service was excellent
It's location to where we had to go.
