Leaving!

Having stayed in Melia Ria before we never expected to have such a terrible stay! On arrival there were only two (junior) people in the reception for everyone. After we got our key we went to the "SPA" where in its tiny pool there were swimming classes (?) for children! The facilities were dirty, the sauna did not work, the pool floor was loose... everything felt sloppy and definitely NOT 4 stars. We then went to our bedroom and realized the window did not close! This was around 19:30 We called the reception, waited... someone came and could not fix it! My wife is pregnant so we asked that the room we would be moved into to be quite (there was a party nearby at the time). After way too long we get a new room. We get to the new room and there are 3 single beds (?!?). We explicitly asked for a big bed for my wife comfort! We said we wished a larger bed and got replied that they had no rooms int the quiet side of the hotel with large beds. We are again moved to another room after way too much time (remember there were only two people in the reception? They were also the only people who could fix our room changes and were overwhelmed with guests in the reception). At 20:30, finally, we get to the new room with a big bed but so much noise!!!! You could hear the music from the party outside clearly, and there was no way we would get a proper rest! We had enough! I went down and left before the night was even over! Headed to the reception to checkout without even having stayed in and all I heard was "Oh, sorry... we cannot give your money back"! Bear I mind I did not even ask for the money back I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. Made a reservation on the fly at Montebelo Vista Alegre Hotel and SPA! I recommend that you stay there instead! Such a shame! We really liked this hotel!
