When you have an offer for a surprise car, labelled Special Car, it should not be a Toyota Corolla? Not for $150 per day. I felt this was very misleading. I definitely felt duped with this one.Reviewed Jun 1 2026

Our pickup time was at 10am and we did not receive a car in SLC until 3:30pm. This caused us to have quite a bit of inconvenience in having to leave the AVIS rental location and wait until they called us later in the day when a car was ready. While we received a nice rental vehicle, it wasn’t overly clean. The dropoff in Omaha went smoothly.Reviewed May 31 2026

Car was not ready and when to pick it up there was no car in assigned spot. Required further interaction with agents to finally get a car, smaller than reserved and that was filthy inside and not great on the outside.Reviewed May 29 2026

Avis uses partner Unidas at Fortaliza Brazil airport. Unidas seizeed car without warning or explanation with prior rental on 5/4/26 leaving me stranded. Rental was prepaid via Amex Cc with Unidas /Avis for 4/23/26 through 5/23/26 per signed agreement. Avis nor Unidas will not credit the 19 prepaid days remaining. Have since found out that Unidas seized car to protect asset due to a US $58 ONLY pending dispute by Amex on 4/27/26 for an unauthorized/declined fuel return charge at 4/23/26 pickup. Unidas did not respond to Amex dispute inquiry. Canceled the 5/23/26-5/27/26 res with Avis/Unidas because of deceptive fraud practice. Avis Budget Group Resolution Team not willing to accurately investigate issue with supported docs., & quickly denied any credit due with only a form letter tesponse. There was also many english language translation barriers with team. Undias unwilling to resolve at pickup/dropoff airport counter.Reviewed May 28 2026
