Pros:The car was great. Excellent gas mileage, handled well, and was absolutely impeccable when we picked it up. Service was kind and friendly.
Cons:The return process has been a little frustrating. First, I was not told that I would need to keep the copy of the paperwork stating our agreement to give to the Avis rep on Orkney. Had I known that, I would have put it with the other confirmations and information that I was toting around instead of panicking. Second, I found the paperwork, gave the keys to the Avis rep, he said he would get it South from there, and I had nothing further to do. Unfortunately, I got an email from Avis telling me I was in breach of contract because the car hadn't been returned. This issue has not been resolved and is currently my only frustration with the rental.
