Very delightful ...
The room was quiet and clean. We upgraded to a river view - peaceful. Woodland's a small town, but there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. A nice, off-the-highway place for mature adults or for those looking for a place from which to hike or explore Mt. St. Helen's. It is pretty basic. I don't need a lot of fancy things, but these days a plush and comfy bed is standard fare in most motels of this kind - and ours was more like the "old" variety. Toiletries were minimal and cheap. Breakfast was very basic.
I missed the choice for smoking or non smoking on line. Made reservation and when I got there they immediately changed me to a non-smoking room. Hot water stayed hot in tub, room was very near freeway without freeway noise. I left there relaxed and ready to begin a busy week. I'd consider staying there again.
Smooshy beds. Noisy from neighbors and parking lot. Crusty bathroom with no soap in shower, loud fan.
Room was clean, nice water pressure, soft sheets Tv picture was pretty bad for whatever reason. Bed was smaller than expected despite upgrading to the business king suite - whatever that even means.
Great location to both I5 and 205. Quiet. The rooms were extremely clean and very nicely kept. Beds and pillows were all very comfortable especially considering how inexpensive our stay was. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Definitely a great short stay hotel.
Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage make your own waffles cereal muffins coffee and juice
The place was ok, however the only value is no pet fee. The walls were paper thin.
The price and the pet-friendliness I didn't feel safe parking my car People roamed the hallways at hours They was loitering that appeared to be drug and/or prostitution related in the parking lot Inadequate parking close to the rooms People making horrible noises until 2:00am Bad spiritual energy
It was close to where we needed to be on Christmas day. There was water coming up from the floor. Even though I wiped it up, it just kept coming up as if there was a leak below the floorboards. I nearly slipped four or five times. My boyfriend and I kept getting our feet wet and and therefore were constantly cold, even with the heat on. Also, the mirror above the sink fell off the wall and nearly hit my boyfriend's head. The mirror tabs that hold it up were not even in any studs, nor were molly screws used. The motel really needs updating for safety.
Most of the staff was friendly, very conveniently close to places. AC didn't work so the friendly maintenence guy was nice enough to replace it but it didn't work that well either. The other people that came with us stayed in another room and the beds/towel were made 1 out of the 3 nights that they stayed.
I think they've spruced up the room since my last stay. The parking is the only real problem. There simply aren't enough parking spaces. Even the handicap spaces get filled, and just because you found a parking space doesn't mean it's anywhere close to your room.
Staff were friendly. Close distance to freeway, food and stores. Wifi did not work for more than one device. shower head was very low on the wall. pillows and bed were not very comfortable. the A/C/heating unit was very loud. Room smelled musty. I would have rather paid an extra $10-20 a night to stay somewhere else.
Location was close to store and food Room smelled must, furnace was old and more then we'll used, no iron
I liked the friendliness of the manager / owner who recommended a vegetarian restaurant for me when I told him I was a fellow vegetarian. (There is an Indian food place just down the block - walking distance.) Room was clean, affordable, and near major highway that allowed access to Portland with a short 20 minute drive. Air conditioner and fridge worked great. All bathroom utilities worked fine. I wouldn't call the place luxurious but it was just what we needed on our 3 day stay in the Portland area.
The Wi-Fi system data would often slow down to a trickle and/or stop. An upgrade to the Guest House Motel Wi-Fi system is needed.
The staff were very nice. The room clean for the most part. We did find towels that had stuff on them like the maid hadn't switched them.out from last guests. No amenities - we did expect that for the price, though
Close to restaurants and grocery stores, quiet Only disposable plastic cups in room so I couldn't make my own tea; shower head is very low
Easy access to I 5. Registration clerk, pleasant. Noise from highway. Creepy plush carpet. Floor squeaked when you walked on it.
Nothing We made our reservation, when we arrived the woman at the desk was very rude. We have a service dog and she refused to give us a room. We had to find another hotel at midnight, after traveling all day. Would never make reservation here again. Property appeared to be dirty and not well kept.
Great little restaurant next door. The motel was conveniently located. We stayed for 3 night and the sheets were never cleaned and the bed was never made. We knew the maids were in our room for we had clean towels.
We loved the memory foam mattresses on the beds and the strong water pressure in the shower. Our room had flies, and we could not kill them all. I don't know why there were so many flies in my room, but they were flying everywhere.
Adequate room overall. $20 restaurant credit was a nice touch. Mattress was too soft. Room needed more electrical outlets.
I forgot my cellphone plug :(
Close to everything and the price was reasonable No

The staff and buffet breakfast. PAPER THIN WALLS!!!!! People live at this hotel which clearly is noticeable and they sure don't respect others by being extremely loud at night.
It was overall average but loved the restaurant. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. No large complaints with the room although there was someone's food was left in the microwave and many channels on tv did not work. It was right on the highway so it was quite noisy and walls were thin. I could hear the neighbors tv through the wall but was no big deal. Could hear car doors outside and any people talking. Restaurant on Saturday was closed quite early I thought also
Upon checking in, the front desk clerk gave us a $10 coupon for breakfast at the attached restaurant. BEST breakfast we have had in a LONG time. First view gave you the impression of an old motor lodge which needed some upkeep and maintenance. Guests who had their own BBQ's, plants and gardens, and chairs outside the rooms like they live there year round Inside rooms were clean and well stocked.
The $10 dining voucher was nice. We used it for breakfast. I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was. It was delicious! The refrigerator was quieter than other places. I expected it to be noisy since it was next to a highway, but I didn't expect it to be as noisy as it was. The train was right there, too. The bed was a little too soft.
That they give you $10 on a gift card per day to spend on their restaurant! Too expensive!
