Room was dirty and TV had horrible reception. Asked for a different room and was told "They are all like that."
Salt water pool. Customer service. Breakfast. Loved everything!
Staff was very friendly. Rooms were very clean.
Great service, beautiful bar and dining was perfect with excellent prepared food!!!! There wasn't anything to dislike !!!!!!!!!!!!
Super friendly staff; excellent restaurant and nice indoor pool area. Rooms are large and clean, decorated like a log cabin or a mountain lodge. Very good value for a low fee. The birdsong in the hallways is a little cheesy. The suburban industrial park area is not very attractive.
Excellent food. The beer selection could expand. The shuttle service had limited hours that did not work with my schedule and forced me into a costly alternative for airport pickup.
Loved the food and the bird sounds I'm the hallways! The staff was stellar! Sunday breakfast wad good but cold.
They had great holiday decorations. Fabulous service. The accompanying restaurant was also great. Live piano and fireplaces for New Years. We would love to go back. Day after New Years bar / restaurant closed at 8pm! Wish they would have put up a warning sign.
Relatively inexpensive Very loud, right next to freeway. Continental breakfast ran out of some items pretty early every day. Bed and pillows very stiff.
Great breakfast buffet, cookies and coffee complimentary in evening. Beds were soo cozy! No hot tub
We hadn't stayed at La Quinta before and were very impressed with the value. If you want a really comfortable bed and shower, this is the place. You have a microwave and frig in the room, the room is large and they are pet friendly. A full breakfast buffet in the morning was not what we were expecting and it was truly fabulous, included in the room charge. We'll be back. It's pretty minor, but there weren't too many amenities in the bathroom, such as lotion. There was shampoo and soap, but that was it. There were stains on the main room and wallpaper was peeling a bit in the bathroom. Nothing that would affect your stay, but just a few things we noticed.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the complementary breakfast was very good. Every day there were some hot options in addition to the regular breads, pastries, and cold cereals. The location is convenient, with easy access to routes I-5 and 205. The room in general was very worn and shabby, and not dirty, but not really clean either. Our room was very dark with inadequate lighting and electrical outlets. It was almost impossible to read in the room, especially after sundown. There are too few lights, no overhead lighting, and the lamps are ill positioned. Moreover, if you have more than a couple of phones or computers that need recharging regularly, you have to get creative to find enough outlets to plug in the rechargers - such as unplugging the lamps which makes the room darker. Parking at the LaQuinta in Salmon Creek was WOEFULLY inadequate. If you return to the hotel after 9 pm, good luck. There are businesses on each side of the hotel that have signs posted that hotel guests' cars parked in their lots will be towed at owners expense, suggesting this has been a long-standing problem. There are too few parking spots for the number of rooms at the hotel, and not all guests are considerate about parking carefully to fit as many cars in the lot as possible, so some spaces were wasted every night. The staff had no work-around suggestions, so get in early or be prepared to wing it.
Comfortable beds, clean facility, provides breakfast. Traffic noise from nearby I-5, pool closed.
Nothing. Was very loud and did not sleep at all
I love the ambience when you first come in to check in, the front seat last was so welcoming and the cookies are the best lol specially after a long and tiring drive it's appreciated. The breakfast is wonderful knowing you have a hot rest meal to start the day and the lady assigned very accommodating like a mom. I'd love to stay there again. Thanks for having us.
The outdoor scenery is beautifully maintained! Sufficient easy parking. Lobby is very welcoming! Staff is very friendly and helpful. You would never know this place was dog-friendly its super clean! The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet with comfy beds. Bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Breakfast has a nice set-up with many options to choose from. This hotel is truly an ideal place to stay! We will definitely stay here again!
We had stayed for four nights during this period of time we had hosted our daughter's wedding reception in the discovery ballroom. Undoubtably the most impressive aspect was the incredible service from every Hilton representative. With our individual party the hotel also had the PTA, Fireman Convention, a motorcyle convention and another small wedding. Even with all of this going one we had felt like our celebration was the only one-impressive! The sound of the trains.
Pillows and blankets were feathers. No water in the rooms. Need water bottles in the fridge.
We brought our dogs on this trip ... three large dogs. The staff didn't bat an eye and in fact came around the counter to pet our dogs and gave them each a treat.
Location close to downtown and nice park. Parking should be free.
Great spot. Fun walking to a couple bars and restaurants. Solid Hotel. I'll be Back. My breakfast Rocked!!
Bed. Size of room. Alarm at 12:03am. High cost of food. No wifi in room.
The hotel was very clean. Friendly staff and rooms were updated and very comfortable. Breakfast was a plus for us as a family. Breakfast had several items to choose from. Also walking distance to the mall and restaurants. They definately need more staff at the breakfast lounge. The one lady had a hard time keeping the food items refilled. People were either waiting for one thing or the other. She was trying hard to keep up. I saw customers even offered to help clean the tables seeing she was running to and from the kitchen.
Comfortable Asked for more than 2 towels, got 3, really
For a visit to Portland we chose this nearby hotel because we always like the idea of a suite and this seemed like a great fit. I had some hesitation later wondering if being in Vancouver was going to be a problem, but on the contrary found it a great location for our various jaunts around the area. This greatly improved my opinion of a Best Western (Plus) property. We received excellent service, the breakfast was well above average, the bed very comfortable, and the suite very roomy. For my money, and from my experience this was a great choice.
front desk staff, cookies, and breakfast. price good. also, took my dog! n/a
The night staff really went from and beyond to help us with my baby. Also the rooms were comfortable and breakfast was pretty good.
Cleanliness Kids running in hall and slamming doors
Comfortable cleanness breakfast
We found the staff very friendly and the room clean and well maintained. We were able to bring our Grandchildren over and let them play in the indoor pool. They loved it. They did have an issue with a guest down the hall. The manager had to come up and ask them to leave. Not really a bad thing though as we saw they quickly took care of issues.
The room itself was great. Clean, comfortable, and cozy and certain amenities are already in the room. I didn't have to phone down for an iron and iron board. (Lots of other places make you do that.) Every staff member we encountered was friendly. The pool and workout room were great bonuses. The best bonus was the breakfast. Every morning there was a full breakfast available that every member of my family enjoyed. Even the coffee was more than decent (and I can be picky about coffee.) Another bonus, the whole building is smoke free. The ONLY thing was some guests were stompers and you could hear them stomp past. Not great but not a big deal. Its not like we ever heard our neighbors conversations. It may have been just these particular guests. I don't blame the hotel for this.
Good Breakfast. Clean rooms. Helpful staff.
Place was clean and bedrooms were very nice. Room service was always late in the day.
The room was quiet and clean. We upgraded to a river view - peaceful. Woodland's a small town, but there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. A nice, off-the-highway place for mature adults or for those looking for a place from which to hike or explore Mt. St. Helen's. It is pretty basic. I don't need a lot of fancy things, but these days a plush and comfy bed is standard fare in most motels of this kind - and ours was more like the "old" variety. Toiletries were minimal and cheap. Breakfast was very basic.
Smooshy beds. Noisy from neighbors and parking lot. Crusty bathroom with no soap in shower, loud fan.
I missed the choice for smoking or non smoking on line. Made reservation and when I got there they immediately changed me to a non-smoking room. Hot water stayed hot in tub, room was very near freeway without freeway noise. I left there relaxed and ready to begin a busy week. I'd consider staying there again.
Very delightful ...
Very convenient to shopping, good restaurants, & close to Portland.
Excellent comfort for the price and the staff was extremely friendly.
Bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful. Check in was fast and easy. Pool and spa were closed due to renovations. Walls are thin.
The staff were friendly and the location within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We had booked a king suite, but at the last moment needed two queen beds. The staff was very accommodating. Though the outside of the hotel looked older, the room, lobby and interior were newly renovated and clean. Good value in a neighbourhood of other hotels and amenities. Continental breakfast was very good.
Good breakfast, pleasant staff, very comfortable bed. Although we were on the freeway side there was no noise to speak of. Generally very quiet. The room had a fairly strong bleach smell, which dissipated somewhat over the 2 days we stayed. Perhaps they should cut back on its use in the laundry. It is located a fair drive from Portland.
Nothing. At all because we were not allowed to stay Everything ..rude from the start told me we had too much trafic last time i stayed and was not allowed. To stay
did not like worst stay ever I sent it to the company Heat of room , booking and got wrong room , water in shower broke cold water only . breakfast was bod
Nice accommodations. Super (and free) breakfast. Offers light supper (complimentary) Monday - Thursday evening, such as soup and salad and other special menus (one menu per night). Nice, accessible business center. Loved having full kitchen in-house. Great wireless Internet access in room. Spacious bathroom. Good fitness room and options. Also tennis court. Nice ambience in lobby. Great for business travelers who need to get work done. Adjacent to mall with major department stores and close to restaurants. Pool is outdoors only and probably available only during warm weather seasons.
I love the apartment feel! Full kitchens with full size fridge, real dishes and utensils. Stove top, dishwasher and FREE laundry facilities!!! Comfy beds and tons of movie channels! Nice, free breakfast each morning- Not just muffins and coffee; eggs, waffles, bacon, bagels, cereal, fruit, etc. This place is also VERY pet friendly!! There really isn't much that I didn't like.... the laundry facilities are great, however...I did notice that a couple of the dryers do not work very well. They don't heat up like they should. And there is always at least one washer or dryer that is out of order.
I stayed at this Ho Jo for 7 nights and only received maid service 2 times and I had to ask for them to come the first time. Parking lot lights in the mall parking lot were very very bright and lite up my room to much at night.. Also, inconvenienced by them re-paving the hotel parking lot.
Value of facility and assistance by the staff The facility seems to be going through some remodeling and some of the elements were not finished or were done a the least cost
The staff was great, great access to the mall, very small and quiet for the most part The design of the furniture and the breakfast was very small
Location. Easy access to freeway, next door to Vancouver mall Bedspreads were dirty, ants on bathroom sink.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Decent location and clean. Beds could be improved but nice hotel for the money. At this price range you must have reasonable expectations and it isn't luxury but clean and easy.
Cheap Ants in the rooms, plug-ins didn't work, cable didn't work, plumbing made loud noises all night, breakfast wasn't incredible either.
Pictures showed a bathtub in the delux kind suite but there wasn't a tub.
Competitive pricing for the Vancouver area. A bit dirty, particularly along the baseboards. Used towels and soap left by the cleaning staff. Breakfast was taken away while people were still eating. Day shift desk lady was grumpy.... if I wanted to be greeted by a grumpy lady first thing in the morning I would have stay with my wife!
Romantic boutique hotel situated in pretty, quiet and small town. Great for weekend get aways. Incredible and cordial staff, I couldn't make it to breakfast in the morning and in the evening I received nice food for the following morning. This was definitely something no other hotel had ever done before. We will be back for sure. AC unit in the room was a bit louder.
Charming, cozy rooms. Shared bathroom on the second floor.
We loved the staff, the breakfast, the room - everything!
Good value for money. Good location inside the mall. A bit dated. But no other issues.
Lovely staff and great clean rooms and on-time cleaning easy check in, pool was great and warm for the fall season, will come back here again!!
we stayed only at night, we were taking a two day class in vancouver the muffins
Prompt and friendly service. Good sized room. Quiet. Good mattresses. As in too many motels, the rooms are cleaned with various spray cleaners. When I come into a room like that my nose begins to run and someetimes eyes water. The next two mornings I will bring up copious amounts of phlegm. Back home - back to normal. Suggest more scrubbing and less sprays.
The room was a good value for the night and close to the mall, plenty of nearby places to eat. Plus close to the office where my meetings were held. There were no lights in the room that were bright enough.
We were moved here after we had problems with inccorect bookings next door that left us in a smelly room. It was nice to come to a place where a non-smoking room didn't smell like smoke and perfume. The two hotels next to each other where clearly built at the same time. This one is the more budget offering, BUT they do a better job of cleaning and maintaining what they have then the more expensice one. We felt we got a good deal. No elevator, The bed was too firm, and I had no idea a blue berry muffin could be as bad as what they had at the free breakfast.
The location is excellent with good access within Vancouver and onto Portland. The room was reasonably clean although showing its age. WiFi was good, the breakfast was typical of lower end hotels The housekeeper took our bag of food, which was to last us for the weekend. We tried multiple times to reach management to get a replacement but there was no response. This cost us money as well as time on a short trip. Despite the positives this one negative will lose our business.
Convenience to high way, mall shopping and eateries was great. Ran out of was clothes, no bill deal
Room was very clean and neat. Breakfast was adequate and coffee was probably the best I have had in a very long time. Bedside lamp was broken, only one side working. They were having a problem with the pool and hot tub, so the areas were closed.
Proximity to the Portland airport and to Vancouver Mall. The breakfast items could have been of better quality. The agent at the reservation desk, "Shylo", was uncooperative, rude, and condescending. She should be fired!
Great location by the Vancouver Mall. No available outlets near the bed for phone charger. Had to unplug the clock to charge my phone.
Our stay went as expected. A mistake was made during checkout and we were charged an extra $10. When we pointed out the error the charge could not be removed but we were assured that the money would be refunded when the manager was available. They gave us the managers name and phone number so that we could check back on this.
Great location if you're visiting Portland. Very close to main freeways.
Pool & jacuzzi were clean in a spacious area. The beds were comfortable, and there were ample towels. Lots of noise early in the morning from the floor below, waking us very early. The bedside lamp buttons were so worn out that it took tremendous effort to depress the buttoms(we thought they were broken at first). VERY dim lighting in the bathroom, particularly in the shower.
Nothing I booked this online and was told I didn't need a credit card I could put a cash deposit. I had 100.00 deposit and they turned me away. I was told my credit card was not charged and it better not of been.
Very comfortable beds sheets and pillows Tube TV's, I didn't think that those were still a thing
Breakfast foods available included microwave burritos, waffle iron, yogurt, pre-peeled hard boiled eggs, cereals, and prepackaged muffins. The room smelled of cigarettes, had a severe drosophila problem, the door to the room wouldn't close on its own so it had to be slammed shut, and you could hear EVERY movement of the people in the room above.
I booked this room for its convenient location and affordability. Pulled down the bedspread and found hairs and bed bug fecal matter. They didn't even put fresh sheets on after the last person!
Easy access to freeways and shopping. Clean room. Older tv.
The staff were friendly - we needed a spot for breakfast before their breakfast was served and they were able to help us out - even though it was only 5am. They were friendly on check-in and check-out. No issues at all. For how close the hotel is to the freeway, there's NO road noise at all once inside. I was very surprised by that. No negative experiences that they could have helped. Their driveway is really narrow but we didn't really have any issues with it. Someone near us had a kid that was running up and down the hall and stairs near our room at all hours of the night, but we just turned on the fan in our room and we could easily drown it out.
The location was great. They lost my reservation. I reserved 2 gueens. They didnt have any available. So my husband and 3 kids had to share a king size bed. The room smelled musty. And the laundry room and hot tub was out of order.
Close to our visit location. Good parking. comfortable beds. We stayed four nights and received no maid service/cleaning. When we reported to the front desk clerk that our room had not been cleaned for the third straight night, we were told that staff were working to prepare rooms for new check-ins. We were locked out of our room twice and our key cards had to be re-keyed. There was no management onsite to speak with and all the desk clerks could say is "sorry."
Location for my purposes Staff helpful Reasonable rates CRT TV No TV schedule Sink drain slow Room not serviced during two-day stay
This hotel is ideal for those going to see shows at Sleep Country Amphitheater. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious and include refrigerator and microwave, and the breakfast area is a good start to the day.
Following an extended day of travel it was a delight to be greeted so warmly. The young lady at the front desk didn't simply check me in, she took time to inquire about my day. Her demeanor complements the hospitality industry. The outer area carpets are a bit worn but not a major issue. If you want more, go pay way more somewhere else.
The price was fantastic for a large room with two queen beds and a sofa. The facility was clean, linens were lovely, and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly as well!
Attended the Portland Antique Show at the Expo Center. We spent the night after shopping all day and planned to return to the Expo the next day. The motel room was clean, the staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to restaurants, close to Portland. We would definitely stay there again.
Great room great cookies friendly staff
Great middle class hotel. Good price, nice rooms, everything was updated.
We were there to celebrate out anniversary as well as go to an appointment in the area. We knew we wanted to eat at Mcgrath's which is just a parking lot away. The room was large they provided a complete desk and 2 TV's outlets on each lamp was awesome as well. We didn't use their food service. I would recommend and stay here again. The bed was too soft for us, the toilets seemed very low to the floor neither of these things were a big enough deal to make us not stay again.
Visiting old friends and it was located just a mile away from them...big suite, comfy bed, clean, well-appointed...staff was great, called within 30 minutes of check in to see if we needed anying...brought extra luggage rack and pillow quickly....breakfast was a little disappointing, most entrees lukewarm, but not bad..great place, nice peice. .
Ambience Pull-out sofa bed was uncomfortable. Regret not booking directly through hotel website. Paidxxx plus taxes=xxx. Hotel website onlyxxx plus taxes :(

The free breakfasts and weekday evening meals were wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was not as well shielded from noise as we would like. You could easily here the other guests, especially their dogs. Check-in was longer than expected due to a large group ahead of us, it seemed their were many issues and only two counter clerks.
When i first walked in i was welcomed warmly by the girls at the front desk. I could smell this lovely aroma coming from the lodge, who would have known they also serve dinner monday till thursday. Everyone was so welcoming i felt like part of their family. I would tell anyone traveling to Vancouver to stay with this hotel. breakfast was also very good.
It was one of the best suites that I have stayed at in the area and it was offered as a smoking suite. Not very much parking for the amount of suites. Had to park in the street after a night out on the town.
Aloha We felt very welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. Unit had a sitting area and a small kitchen, very comfortable. Afternoon dinner very nice as well as breakfast! Staff very welcoming!!! thanks! Also great area to go walking!! Hotel does not have a water view, you are located right across the street!
The breakfast, dinner, 24 hr hot coffee, in room kitchenette, and lobby/community area. Loved the outside dining that even had heaters! Not enough parking.
Location! So close to the water front and really good restraunts. The rooms are a little dated and could use a face lift, but we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
setting dated for the price
The layout of the room and the hotel was convenient. The breakfast was decent compared to other hotel 'free' breakfasts. The pool area was just perfect for kids. The rooms appear dated and the furniture is somewhat uncomfortable.
Over the Christmas holiday, we stayed at the Homewood Suites while visiting family. The fireplace room was very comfortable, morning breakfast was excellent, and the one evening reception we were able to attend was incredible. The staff was extremely helpful and overall we had a very pleasurable and relaxing stay. It's a great location and we would recommend this hotel to anyone!
I have stayed twice both times 4 nites. Each stay has been excellent in all areas even when I had a maint. issue with my room that required me to move--the staff shined under pressure offering any solution to accommodate me #40ended up no charging one nite and helped me move#41 no questions asked. I am back in two weeks for another 4 days stay. Friendliest hotel I have stayed at best value for the money #40breakfast and dinner included#41 easy on off to the highway small fitness room and even a basketball court #40ball supplied#41 Cant miss if you stay here.
Quick check-in Generous breakfast Location, access to freeway Outdoor pool was closed, no big deal
Decent staff, decent room, good hot breakfast. Only negative thing was the construction for the remodel.
Wasn't the quietest hotel I've stayed at. The water pressure was awful, and the water was cut off between 10-4 everyday.
Staff was great. Location was wonderful. Wifi spotty - great in one room and marginal in another. One lobby computer down for the length of my stay. No list of tv stations made if hard to find programs.
It was convenient - close to freeway. Rooms were clean. Complimentary breakfast. I could hear people talking next door- thin walls. I was in room 323. The room was a bit on the small side- had to maneuver the office chair around to get to beds and window.
The location to the area was great, and the price was excellent. The breakfast was more than adeqate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The romm was a bit small and the standard bed ws a bit short.
Great location to both I5 and 205. Quiet. The rooms were extremely clean and very nicely kept. Beds and pillows were all very comfortable especially considering how inexpensive our stay was. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Definitely a great short stay hotel.
Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage make your own waffles cereal muffins coffee and juice
Room was clean, nice water pressure, soft sheets Tv picture was pretty bad for whatever reason. Bed was smaller than expected despite upgrading to the business king suite - whatever that even means.
The girls at the front desk were fast at checking us in, very friendly and we also able to help us decide on a place nearby to grab a quick dinner. The breakfast spread was simple, but better quality than I have experienced from many other hotels. Everything was very clean The beds were comfortable The hotel is very easy to find as well I actually can't think of anything I didn't like about it.
Staff was friendly and very helpful, asked all the right questions like if we needed the Wi-Fi password. Room was beautiful and very clean. Loved the complimentart items in bath room and towels were very nice and we didn't need to ask for more. A little further from the freeway than most hotels.
