This hotel is very clean and well run. Staff was very accomodating and friendly. We enjoyed our stay here.
The most part of the staff was wonderful--there was however one lady with black hair that was not very friendly or kind--the rest deserved top rating
Great location and room had plenty of space for the three of us with great view off back balcony. Breakfast was outstanding and staff helpful.
Price to value was very good There were no shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom
The staff were very helpful and obliging throughout my visit. The swimming pool was interesting with the possibility to swim outside. My room was outstanding with panoramic mountain views on 3 sides. The hotel is clearly focussed towards families with young children and this is a little off-putting for single mature travellers. There should have been more supervision at breakfast too.
This is really an outstanding hotel (and restaurant.) I have seen many hotels as I travel a lot, but this is at the top. The staff goes the extra mile to make the stay as pleasant as possible, good kitchen, beautiful rooms. Great Spa and Sauna as well. Highly recommended. None what so ever.
Wonderful view and location. Great service.
Lovely position, well looked after by all the staff and big (for Europe) room with view over the valley and mountain. Best hotel of a 2 week tour of Germany / Austria. Half-board option was very good. Walking n cycle paths from front door and free use of bikes. Difficult to find any faults. Price of wine made the wallet wince!
Great food was served in the hotel, 5 minutes walking from the ski lift, nice hotel staff, big room.
The staff was very welcoming. The room was too hot and it wasn't possible to create a draught.
The room was large and comfortable, the view was great, the staff were friendly, helpful and hospitable, the food was beautiful, and on top of it all it was reasonably priced. I am a fussy eater and special meals were prepared for me, and because we were leaving very early in the morning the hotel went to the trouble of preparing a breakfast tray for us the night before. Read the above - what's not to like?? The only minor criticisms are that the bathroom was a bit small and the bed was not the most comfortable I have ever slept in, but neither was a serious issue.
Superb location with views over the whole valley. Food very good burt special mention for Elizabeth with her profound knowledge of Austrian wine and enthusiasm in explaining it.
The view from our room was exceptional! The staffs were all very friendly and kind. The breakfast buffet was great.
Staff, food, location, room The hotel did not have my booking and I was fortunate they had a room. They gave me a great room and went out of their way to help me. You should check with them as to why they did not get the booking from you.
The owners would do well to hang on to Hans and Elisabeth, who manage the hotel, because it is they who make what would be an ordinary hotel into an extraordinary one. This is the second time we have stayed, and as the first time, nothing is too much trouble for the managers and their staff, who do everything they can to make their guests welcome and to cater to individual whims. The food and service are excellent and the views are great.
Breakfast, clean room, parking, value for money Fridge in the room
The staff was nice and efficient. The breakfasts were filling with your typical meat, cheese, roll, and cereal. There were a few things for the kids to do and the hostel was in a beautiful valley with a very beautiful view. We paid with cash and had no problems thanks to previous guests who warned about not being able to use our credit cards. The beds were very hard and short for us who are tall.
Good location, near to many castles. Bavarian Alps are lovely place. Seems like one person run the whole hotel, on the reception desk, then the same guy in the restaurant, then behind the bar as well. Only one negative, there wasn’t soap in the room and iron too. Obviously not a big deal, just need to go to reception desk. Anyway, this is a very relaxing hotel, located in a small village in a wonderful valley; it has fantastic view to the mountains. The most popular spot nearby is Newshvamstain castle. The loveliest castle in Germany and probably in Europe. The bathrooms need to be a bit more clean. Soap need to be provided as well. No point to go to reception desk for simple as soap thing. Anyway the value for this money per night is exelent.
Excellent place to stay and very nice room! Very easy to locate and park. Would love to go again
value for money was very good. It was not possible to pay with a creditcard
Despite the fact that yourn details did not indicate a restaurant, we were offered half board on a table d'hote basis, which turned out to be of a very high standard, with a good choice of food, beautifully presented and well served, at a very reasonable supplement. The breakfast was also of a very high quality. Not really. If we were looking for faults, larger bathtowels would have been good.
The food is very good. We have stayed there before and they appeared to remember us, which is always nice. Very convenient spot for us passing through the area, being only five minutes from the main road. Some rooms are more attractive than others and this time we had one which was not so nice. Wooden floors are preferable everywhere, rather than light-coloured carpets which show every mark.
