It was restful and relaxing.
The welcome was genuinely warm, the standard throughout was excellent, the setting was beautiful - exactly what we were looking for, tranquil and peaceful in a rural/farm setting. There were none!
The pure tranquility of the location
Excellent service None
What can I say, other than this is a really great place to stay? It has a great deal of character and the room was lovely. We were made to feel very welcome. The owner is extremely helpful, and has a lot of local knowledge that came in very handy for our trip. And the breakfast is terrific (... the sausages were a particular favorite of mine!)
Lovely location with view of Malvern Hills . Excellent if you like horses and dogs. Superb breakfast. Good WI FI connection. Nearest pub walkable via public footpath cross fields and spooky graveyard , offering a myriad vof real ale surprises .
We enjoyed the serenity of the surroundings, the character of the building, the friendliness and knowledge of the owner and the central location for exploring the many attractions locally. The owner went into great detail about the best places to eat locally, which we found immensely useful. The full hearty breakfasts were fabulous too! The room we stayed in is in need of re-decorating and minor repair to plaster work. But, bearing in mind the age of the property, this was expected and did not affect our stay. Despite what it says on Bookings.com, the owner does accept credit/debit cards for payment.
Friendly, helpful hostess. Gave us good advice on Inns for an evening meal.
Quiet location and very attentative host. Farmhouse very clean but with vintage building character. Nothing
It was a charming place, extremely comfortable bed and excellent breakfast and service. I would recommend it to anyone. We booked a second room for our daughter and husband and they loved it as well. none
Bar closed too early.
very traditional surroundings The creaky floors above our room woke us up early
We liked the location in the centre of town. It was lovely to be able to sit next to a fire when the weather was so cold. The staff were nice and helpful.
Room was large and bed comfortable On arrival they could not find my booking although I had my email confirmation with me and they provided a room. However no heating working on one of the coldest nights of the season. Food was plentiful and cheap, but not good. Dining room service no existent.
It was a charming piece of at time gone by The mattresses were awfull as were the beds
The beds were confortable. The hotel was well placed for places in Hereford that we wished to visit. There was secure parking available. a) the floorboards need attention! b) the food was mediocre I have alread sent my comments to the Manager of the hotel in writing
3 rooms booked 2 of which were nice and warm. Pleasant furnishings and public areas Poor reception service. Particularly unhelpful regarding heating in 1 of our rooms. Slow service at reception and cold in public areas and bathrooms in rooms.
Not alot. The price was good for town centre. I was very disappointed - very cold room - very cold bed a miserable night - hated it. Something wrong with milk / coffee in the room. The hotel is very dated and shabby.
This was our 4th or 5th stay at the Green Dragon and was, as aways, excellent. Pleasant service, very comfortable room (squeaking floorboards a bonus). A lovely hotel, somewhat faded grandeur but full of character. Would not choose to stay anywhere else on our visits to Hereford.
Tired and old fashioned. Overdue for a re-vamp.
Outstanding staff - all friendly and welcoming, and helpful in answering queries re local transport etc. Had some problems finding a telephone number to book dinner.
Very polite staff. Excellent breakfast in the "Starting Gate" Pub next door. Near to Hereford Racecourse. None
Convenience Breakfast- restaurant crowded and noisy radio
the breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were spotless. we would recommend this hotel to anyone. not being able to book in until ater 2pm, it meant we had to trawl around Hereford town for 3 hours. Have not read the website,so cannot answer the question re the website.
Clean , comfy bed Cold tap in bathroom did not work
We were very impressed by the friendless of the staff when booking in and the comfort of the room, everything you need when away from home. The breakfast was fantastic, well done.
Its a quiet hotel, good park facilities, the room were tidy and clean.
easy access, good car parking, good food opposite restaurant were alittel slow upon arraival after makinga booking - seemeda littel over run but food was quck after ordering and good
Extreamly comfortable bed +++ The hotel room was far too hot, the window didn't open enough and their was no air con, their was a fan provided which was good but then I was unable to sleep properly as it had to stay on all night,
The very friendly and helpful staff both in the reeption area and in the dining room and the bar. Service with a smile and willing to chat. nothing
Well situated for exploring the city. Attractive riverside site. There was a lack of urgency and efficiency among the waiting staff. It seemed that they were either very new and/or should have had more supervision. .
Took note of my initial booking request. Much better rooms than expected - related to things read about main building accommodation in the past.
Tatty information folder in room, small old fashioned TV with non functioning remote fixed with sticky tape, broken clock radio. Expensive.
enjoyed my stay. Friendly staf and comfortable room close to the town
Location, setting, decent breakfast. Bathroom in particular was well below standard mould/limescale in bath/shower area, very dusty if you lay on the bed and looked up at the canopy there was a considerable amount of dust on the fringe months and months worth! Light fitting needed a clean and tidy up. The telly was a tiny portable, and our room was located above/close to the kitchen all I could hear was cutlery being dropped, which didn't inspire you to use it the next morning. Tea/coffee cups in the bedroom grotty need replacing.
Nice atmosphere and relaxed setting. River setting
Breakfast was good, views good if overlooking the river. Service at reception good and staff all pleasant. Bedrooms not very good but with a little more attention to detail vast improvement could be made, ie lamp did not work, bulbs missing from main light and bathroom sink still dirty.
breakfast in conservatory also the gardens over looking river under staffed waiting for breakfast.tables not cleared fast enough.
Good clean room, pleasant staff. Location superb Put it this way I tries 1 evening meal and 1 breakfast and then eat out for the rest of my stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the setting by the Severn delightful, and the main hotel building were all we were looking for. Our room, on the ground floor of the cottage was a bit damp. It also had far too many spiders and other creeping things. The facilities of the room were not to the standard we expected from a hotel at £100 a night.
Superb service, comfort and facilities.
Very welcoming. The room was clean and attractive and the bathroom facilities pristine. Breakfast delicious.
Room, cleanliness, breakfast, hosts, selection of local produce in mini bar, in fact absolutely everything
Very clean and very friendly staff. Room and breakfast excellent. All of it!
Very relaxed, friendly hosts, excellent breakfast.
The excellent breakfasts. Not applicable
The style of the hotel. The perfect cleanliness. The helpful and friendly staff. The porridge! A really excellent place. No.
This B&B is a gem. A beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. The facilities are top notch.
it is not a hotel it is a B&B, but a very good one.
The room was extremly comfortable, very clean, quiet and large with plenty of storage space. a lovely comfortable bed, soft towels and every thing you needed such as hairdryer, iron and board, tv and dvd player. The Hosts where very friendly and welcoming. Loved the Large upc Sash Windows. Nothing to dislike
everything, especially the extra touches - bottled water, hot chocolate, homemade biscuits, additional toiletries etc
The whole experience. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The staff and food were excellent and the rooms were furnished to the highest standard It would be very hard to find any fault with this hotel!
The Hotel was in a lovely setting, the room was also very good. The breakfast was ok but nothing more than ok.
Great location and views, friendly informative staff, lovely large rooms, excellent price. The tea bags were terrible, but everything else was great.
Very large, comfortable en-suite room with lovely views over Hereford and beyond.
totally relaxing and enjoyable. big lovely room- 4 poster bed! beautiful views... free chocolate bars that kept being replaced!! all good. tasty brekkie, strawberries, cereal and then cooked brekkie!
a stunning victorian mansion, enjoyed the room (suite) it's querky elevated bathroom, and it's period furnishings..check in was prompt...breakfast enjoyable....very personal service as only 6 bedrooms, so felt very homely...need transport as it is 2 miles out of town... a couple of niggles.....not enough hot water to enjoy a soak in the bath....just enough to wash and no more......no batteries in TV remote control...outside light not working so difficult to negotiate outside steps to car park....nothing too major, didn't detract from our enjoyment of the place just thought you might like to fix these things for the next guests....(orchid room)
the high standard of cleanliness and the lovely furnishings and decor. the reassurung response to the fire alarm going off in the early hours of the morning. On arrival in the dark. it took arather long time to be given access and signage could be improved.
Lack of hot water until late at night No food avaialable
The room was very impressive. The breakfast was excellent The room was quite cold initially but it soon warmed up
Super rooms and location
Big room comfortable bed As there were only two of us staying in the hotel it would have been better to cook the breakfast fresh rather than leaving it out buffet style for over an hour until we went down. This is obviously a wedding venue at heart.
postion to town was good. not very friendly staff. stayed in newly refurbished room but no lock on bathroom door and front door rattled.
Value for money - clean room and good breakfast The heating levels in all rooms were set too high for us
room service annexe not in keeping with main hotel appearance
Helpful staff. Evening meal and breakfast both very good. Very comfy bed.Room clean. Perfect location for my business trip.
old fashioned style, very good breakfast, generally good value long walk to the car park
convenient central location As usual poorest rooms for single occupancy - at the end of the hotel, no view and over ;ooking the road passed and into the car park. Circuitous route to room and no assistance with luggage
Nothing in perticular but was not impressed. Location, was given the impression that it was surrouned by coutryside but was in the middle of the town. The Dinner was very poor. Over cooked vegitables, watery coliflower with no taste, I have erased the rest from my mind, thank goodness.
the location of the Abbey is just perfect, be at the centre of the town. the hotel is clean and nice as good as the staffs. anyway i stayed at a wing of the abbey that doesn't have an elevator. it's rather difficult to move with a big luggage.
I liked the location and the quietness. Had a lot of problems with the water...hot and cold did not work well. A lot of air in the lines caused the water to go on and off during a shower. I do not have any complaints per say, just a problem with the hot/cold water. I still liked the hotel.
beautiful hotel well furnished. no
An old fashioned hotel full of character Not really
Very helpful and pleasant staff; excellent food; comfortable and reasonably-priced accommodation; excellent location in Worcester. Rather noisy on Friar St. side.
The location The service in the restaurant at breakfast
The pub & Location
in the centre, easy access to the cathedral and Royal Worcester
Cosy, traditional, centrally located, lovely breakfast - just what I was looking for. n/a
Convienient for the town and site seeing, very good Pub and dinning facilities. Really liked the rambling, individuality! The room was very hot, had to have windows open despite it being Nov!!!
Central location, staff very pleasant and an amazing breakfast. Quite noisy early in the morning with road sweepers and deliveries.
Excellent breakfast and very good location Bathroom window did not close properly
Excellent bar food.. Convenient for city centre.. Room basic old fashioned and very small ..I was on my own but very surprised to get a single bed!
Nice hotel that was good value. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Intermittent hot water in the morning.
Good clean friendly hotel Breakfast was poor self service nothing left no coffee left poor service
The convenience of location to the wildlife centre just up the road. The relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and pleasent and helpfull attitude of the hotel staff.
beautiful setting in cuntryside and quiet bed too hard
Friendly and helpful staff
Good size room. Friendly, efficient staff. Good selection of food. Considering the size of room, a larger screen size T.V. would be better. The electic shower was sited too high, making it to difficilt to reach and adjust.
lovely views, good food, staff very efficient and friendly rooms were tidy and neat but nothing extra special, however given the price it was good value for money
Excellent friendly staff who were keen to please. Good quality food with good choice. Beautiful location. Beware poor noise insulation between the rooms, could here everything in the adjacent rooms including snoring..!!
A very comfortable friendly hotel with good facilities. The food was good without being outstanding. A good range of locally produced food and drinks. Very good views across the grounds and down to the Golden River valley. I could not get the WiFi to work despite being given the password. The bed was not firm enough for my taste.
Very welcoming staff on arrival.
Great place to stay. Beautiful view. And excellent food
Nice, good sized room, good quality furnishings. Good choice of food at a range of prices (all quite reasonable). Excellent local real ale! No
nice view room not entirely clean, outdated decor, wires hanging out of ceiling, slight unpleasant smell
Friendly staff, great breakfast
Very comfortable room wonderful view from room and beer garden. sunset was outstanding. good range of beers and ciders. dinner and wine were fair, all staff very good especially john Non really, we stay at many B.b inns, this was well above average
Homely, popular local pub Quite pricey for what you get
A very pleasant overnight stay - great view, good food, friendly staff. Modern facilities in accommodation and nice old bar. Room and bed quite small. Coffee from a machine for breakfast.
very comfortable, clean and quiet bedroom
The fantastic friendly staff, the view out our window was amazing, a country pub with very modern rooms
Very quiet & comfortable room. Bar meal at night very nice in the bar. Atmosphere very good
The staff were extremely pleasant, attentive and eager to please. Atmosphere in the main public area bar and restaurant was lovely and welcoming. Food was good value. Local beer was even better..... Was a little further from civilisation than I thought, but that wouldn't stop me from booking there again.
The rooms are gooooooood.
