Yes, the room I was given was designed for a person with special needs. The wash basin was very very small so no where to put wash accessories, the loo was cramped in one corner and to close to the wash basin. Overall, for what I paid I considered bad value for money.
All services were excellent and the staff most helpful
very good service ? very good breakfast . very clean and comfatable rooms
We booked a Superior Double room and the e-mail confirmation stated that we had a double room with balcony. However, on arrival we were told that Superior Doubles do not come with a balcony. I was disappointed with this but when we opened the room door we were pleasantly surprised to find a four poster bed within which we were very happy with! The room was very comfortable and the shower was very powerful but enjoyable. I had read reviews prior to our stay and a lot of them mentioned the street noise if staying in one of the front facing rooms. I have to say it was very noisy on the Saturday night we stayed but nothing a pair of ear plugs didn't block out!! I would also comment on the heating within the room, one wall mounted electric heater is not really sufficient however a portable one was also made available to us which improved the situation.
We were very comfortable at the hotel and the room was lovely and warm after a very cold shopping trip. We used the gym and pool area and the breakfast was very nice. The pool area needed ventilation and the walls were quite thin in the room , we could hear people in nearby rooms and creaky floorboards .
Staff were very helpful and courteous. Although the parking is limited, we had no problem; there were plenty of spaces. No
location rather too noisy at times in comunal areas and during night due to large party bookings
Friendy & helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Excellent gym & pool.
Size of the bed!
First class hotel with excellent rooms and helpful staff. The only thing I can complain about is why I was asked for my credit card three times as I thought this was all sorted out when I booked the room over the internet.
It was my daughter that stayed at the hotel. It was a gift from me, her mother, as I stayed there 4 years ago when she was at uni. I loved it, she hated it. Her bed linen was dirty, the room was not clean and the staff were dismissive. The breakfast was awful.
Convenience to town. Food was good, but not really up to the cost.
I was called three times regarding a roomservice call I never placed and the room was too hot with no easy way to cool it down.
Convenient for course Cold room, unable to work heating, noisy (beside main road and no double glazing to reduce noise)
the friendliness of the staff i requested a light bulb to be changed beside my bed to allow me to read, this bulb was flashing and anoying. it was not changed
Friendly staff Poor standard of hygiene. Massive cobweb between net curtains and window. Tea and coffee tray dirty. Toilet did not flush.
our room was a good size not cramped staff very helpful
No facilty for dialling in - telephone point in the room could not be unplugged and no wireless facility
Nice comfortable room. Very close to town, good location. Quite noisy banging doors early in the morning. No Tea/coffe in room.
Not very clean, large hole in bedroom carpet and a broken window!
Nice hotel that was good value. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Intermittent hot water in the morning.
Good clean friendly hotel Breakfast was poor self service nothing left no coffee left poor service
beautiful setting in cuntryside and quiet bed too hard
The convenience of location to the wildlife centre just up the road. The relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and pleasent and helpfull attitude of the hotel staff.
The pub & Location
Excellent bar food.. Convenient for city centre.. Room basic old fashioned and very small ..I was on my own but very surprised to get a single bed!
An old fashioned hotel full of character Not really
Convienient for the town and site seeing, very good Pub and dinning facilities. Really liked the rambling, individuality! The room was very hot, had to have windows open despite it being Nov!!!
Very helpful and pleasant staff; excellent food; comfortable and reasonably-priced accommodation; excellent location in Worcester. Rather noisy on Friar St. side.
Excellent breakfast and very good location Bathroom window did not close properly
The location The service in the restaurant at breakfast
in the centre, easy access to the cathedral and Royal Worcester
Cosy, traditional, centrally located, lovely breakfast - just what I was looking for. n/a
Central location, staff very pleasant and an amazing breakfast. Quite noisy early in the morning with road sweepers and deliveries.
It was a charming place, extremely comfortable bed and excellent breakfast and service. I would recommend it to anyone. We booked a second room for our daughter and husband and they loved it as well. none
Lovely location with view of Malvern Hills . Excellent if you like horses and dogs. Superb breakfast. Good WI FI connection. Nearest pub walkable via public footpath cross fields and spooky graveyard , offering a myriad vof real ale surprises .
Excellent service None
Quiet location and very attentative host. Farmhouse very clean but with vintage building character. Nothing
The welcome was genuinely warm, the standard throughout was excellent, the setting was beautiful - exactly what we were looking for, tranquil and peaceful in a rural/farm setting. There were none!
The pure tranquility of the location
It was restful and relaxing.
What can I say, other than this is a really great place to stay? It has a great deal of character and the room was lovely. We were made to feel very welcome. The owner is extremely helpful, and has a lot of local knowledge that came in very handy for our trip. And the breakfast is terrific (... the sausages were a particular favorite of mine!)
We enjoyed the serenity of the surroundings, the character of the building, the friendliness and knowledge of the owner and the central location for exploring the many attractions locally. The owner went into great detail about the best places to eat locally, which we found immensely useful. The full hearty breakfasts were fabulous too! The room we stayed in is in need of re-decorating and minor repair to plaster work. But, bearing in mind the age of the property, this was expected and did not affect our stay. Despite what it says on Bookings.com, the owner does accept credit/debit cards for payment.
Friendly, helpful hostess. Gave us good advice on Inns for an evening meal.
Nice setting, friendly staff Bed seemed a little short
the setting was very good next to the river lovely even in winter,we enjoyed the sitting room which would have been even better had the fire been alight to warm the room. We had talked about making it a regular event, but see below.[ I only found this out after we had left and thought it was just me. A bit to quite, only one real bitter, and we all had upset stomachs with vomiting and diarrhoea. Talking to the others the two who had the salmon said it was over cooked and dry [ one is a chef] and the food is not cheap. As I only found this out after we had left well. I had phoned with a view to a repeat but I feel this will not happen due to the food.
Lovely location. Helpful and friendly staff. Laid back and relaxing. We stayed at the Lenchford Inn to attend a wedding nearby.Tried to book a taxi but costs were extortionate as taxi had to come from Worcester! So had to drive. Beautiful location but not well served re bookable transport.
It was a lovely setting, the sitting room was a nice place to seat and chat which would have been even better had the fire been alight to warm the room.I was given a warm welcome, and the friends I was with talked of making it a regular event. see below It was a bit quite, we were the only ones in the dining room, only one real bitter, and the place could have been warmer. and we all had stomach upsets with vomiting and diarrhoea talking to the others the two [one is a chef] who had the salmon said it was over cooked and dry and the food is not cheap. I only found out about the illness after we had left as Ithought it was just me I had phoned with a view to a repeat but feel this will not happen due to the food.
Very freindly and helpful service .... even when quiet. The en-suite bathroom was dated.
Brilliant views over the river Dated look to rooms
The staff and service were excellent
Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom, and spacious. Very comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was quite good too. None
The hotel is a nice place, in the nature, situatet just beside the river Severn. We had a nice dobbleroom with acces to the river. On the homepage, it is difficult to find the hotel. The dot, which placec the hotel, is in the middle of nowhere! According to the address, my gps places the hotel in the neighbour village! But we found it!
Friendly staff good evening meal and breakfast very clean room Rooms dated but comfy no hot water in morning
enjoyed my stay. Friendly staf and comfortable room close to the town
Nice atmosphere and relaxed setting. River setting
Good clean room, pleasant staff. Location superb Put it this way I tries 1 evening meal and 1 breakfast and then eat out for the rest of my stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the setting by the Severn delightful, and the main hotel building were all we were looking for. Our room, on the ground floor of the cottage was a bit damp. It also had far too many spiders and other creeping things. The facilities of the room were not to the standard we expected from a hotel at £100 a night.
Well situated for exploring the city. Attractive riverside site. There was a lack of urgency and efficiency among the waiting staff. It seemed that they were either very new and/or should have had more supervision. .
Took note of my initial booking request. Much better rooms than expected - related to things read about main building accommodation in the past.
Location, setting, decent breakfast. Bathroom in particular was well below standard mould/limescale in bath/shower area, very dusty if you lay on the bed and looked up at the canopy there was a considerable amount of dust on the fringe months and months worth! Light fitting needed a clean and tidy up. The telly was a tiny portable, and our room was located above/close to the kitchen all I could hear was cutlery being dropped, which didn't inspire you to use it the next morning. Tea/coffee cups in the bedroom grotty need replacing.
breakfast in conservatory also the gardens over looking river under staffed waiting for breakfast.tables not cleared fast enough.
Breakfast was good, views good if overlooking the river. Service at reception good and staff all pleasant. Bedrooms not very good but with a little more attention to detail vast improvement could be made, ie lamp did not work, bulbs missing from main light and bathroom sink still dirty.
Tatty information folder in room, small old fashioned TV with non functioning remote fixed with sticky tape, broken clock radio. Expensive.
Central location Stairs - I was on the top floor - somebody older would have struggled
off hand attitude. Told breakfast at 8am on Sunday, but no one about until 8.10am so had to skip.
The price was reasonable The room was fairly dirty, the valance sheet on the bed was not clean, the carpets were not clean, there was an unpleasent smell around the whole hotel.
Good value, large room, fair breakfast No TV remote, only 3 working TV channels, WI-FI not working, rooms a bit shabby - but still great value for money
Pleasant and helpful staff and good breakfast Number 9 had limited space and tv only 2 channels
The room was spacious and kept clean.
rooms clean and comfortable, warm and cosy, bathroom clean and tea and coffee facilities were available. could have done with extra pillows, only one each.
Free WiFi - friendly Reception closed at about 7pm. Phone no. provided but payphone not working.
The breakfast was lovely - very tasty
convenient, parking, adequate for what we needed. some of the rooms needed decorating.
