It was honestly a good price for a hotel with a really good location in Burlington. Not sure if you can find a nicer hotel for the price. If I were to come back I would try to find an Airbnb... Don't use the taxi service the concierge desk will call for you. The taxi they ordered for me took forever and the driver had been smoking in the van, so it smelled strongly of cigaret smoke. The taxi also charged me over double what an Uber cost to take me from the airport to the hotel. People were partying in the hotel rooms around us and they made a lot of noise and trash in the hallways. There were some hockey games going on in the area which I think is what brought the party crowd in.
AMAZING! A great location, loved the free bike rental, loved the staff, loved the pillows! Overall, a great stay~
The Hilton Burlington always has a great staff and the location of the hotel means you will have a great view of the lake and a quick walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping. Very convenient to get in and out of Burlington to take day trips around VT. Rooms feel outdated and require some TLC to mirror the brand you expect from the Hilton.
Polite staff and clean rooms. Had to pay for parking!
Location was perfect for what we came to see. Front desk staff at check out was very helpful and accommodating after letting them know about our stay. Construction in the room above us early Monday morning. The room had clothing left behind from previous guest as well as an employee beer can under the dresser.
Great location. Worth the extra $ for lake views *Staff is hit or miss. *We booked on Aug 8 for Oct 8 arrival and our room type (King) was "sold out" when we arrived. Seems to me someone just didn't do their job and allowed people who arrived earlier in the day to upgrade their room.
Good location. Bummer to have to pay for parking
Location and view We did not have a very nice stay. Their was fecal matter on the shower curtain. The room did not smell the best. The ac did not cool the room at all. It was about 90 degrees out during the day and when we went back to the room in the evening the room was hot with the ac on full force. Was not a very pleasant stay especially for $270 a night. The view was great from the room, that was about the only good thing from this stay
I liked the beautiful views of Lake Champlain and the proximity to the downtown area.
Friendly staff Fitness center needs redo
Everyone was so friendly, knowledgable and treated me 1st class! View is amazing and room is very comfortable. a++ worth it I wish breakfast was included during our stay.
The friendly staff and customer service are second to none. We've stayed in many nice hotels and we've never seen such friendly staff anywhere else. The hotel was wonderful and we'll never stay anywhere else in Stowe!
Room and dog amenities Overpriced food
The beds are amazing. I don't know what linens they use but they were the most beautiful sheets I've ever slept in. Bathrooms are gorgeous. The pool and resort are quite beautiful and I can't wait to come back in the winter, when I think it will be even more fun. Our stay felt slightly like an off-season experience. It was a little quiet but more than that, there was only one bath towel in the bathroom, and lots of empty trays were maybe soaps and things should have been. Also, I placed a room service order and received something completely different when the food arrived, turns out we had an old menu from last year. Finally, I opened the fridge to put things into, and there were 2 containers of takeout left in it. It just seemed like they were short staffed or something. I definitely expected Stowe Mountain Lodge to be on point with details like this and they weren't. Finally, upon check in we didn't receive any information regarding amenities, restaurants, etc. not very welcoming at the front desk, which they need to work on otherwise you get the sense they just want to run your credit card and that's about it. Valet and bell service is outstanding however.
The hotel is great, clean, spacious and comfortable.
We went on a get-away weekend and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. SML was awesome! Highly recommend.
The Hotel is certainly very well appointed and offers luxury accomodation. The room was perfect, very comfortable. We liked the ease of dropping off our skis & boots before going to our room. The spa is first class. The restaurant lacks intimacy and has little atmosphere despite the very good food & service.
The service was friendly and extremely courteous. The pool was gorgeous. I appreciated the dedicated lap lane. The spa was beautiful. We had asked for two beds in the room. we got a king bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was "OK" with the addition of a pillowtop mattress on it , but it was still not great. It would have been nice to have been gieven the 2 beds we requested.
We loved the hotel and all the amenities. We had a beautiful room with a good view and enjoyed some down time. All the staff could not have been friendlier, even just passing in the hallways. The only disappointing experience I had was that, in this being a leisure trip trip and having the room we did for the money I was looking forward to a little extra relaxing sleeping time in the morning. The main point of the getaway trip was to leave the working world and busy schedule behind to relax. However the room next to ours has young kids that were screaming at 6:00am, and out on the patio being extremely loud, We finally gave in after 40 minutes and realized that we had to get up at 6:40. I thought for the amount of money being spent a night that something like that would have been avoided or more controlled.
world class accommodation in a ski in ski out location with contemporary design and good food and service
Big room. Big shower. Comfortable bed. Free shuttle from airport; arrived quickly. Nice restaurant was open late. No place to hang suits in room. Was given a double room for no good reason; voluntarily kept it instead of changing rooms on 2nd night. Mixed up parts of bill that were supposed to go to me vs. what goes to the company. Wound up with entire room rate on my card for what I though was a prepaid room, but receipt was mailed to company not to me.
Great bar Expensive buffet
Storm absolutely rocked it with customer service. I hope the Storm never ends.
Room had peeling paint on the ceiling- not something I want to see at over $200 for a night!!
The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was great. The bathroom was big. Great location. Free parking and shuttle to downtown. The breakfast in the Club Floor 4th was not very good. The eggs tasted very bad.
the convenience of off the highway on the highway. the elevator was out of service, which was not a problem for us, but would be for a handicapped person. And we woke up to a power outage.
Club room Pool and gym poor
We like to be ecological responsible and chose not to have towels and bedding replaced everyday. we hung the sign on the door as directed and that wish was respected. What we did not expect was that the bed would not be made and the normal cleaning done. Disappointing.
the garden in the inner courtyard, the nature trail outside entrance doors too low and flimsy, lobby and courtyard garden dirty with detritus of the previous day, front desk staff too cool and directed at one another to be attentive and helpful to guests
Room and dinning area were very nice They did not honor the Kayak price so, it cost and additional $90 to stay. Please be aware of this.
My problem is with Booking.com. When I arrived, they did not have my reservation. Sheraton was kind enough to book it, and we were lucky on Graduation Weekend to be able to get a room. This is the first time this has happened to me, and I was not a pleasant experience.
I thought the room was above adequate and the courtyard was very well appointed
Loved the airy, lodge-y feeling main common area, which we were able to use for a birthday party while there. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint was the sofa bed, not very comfortable.
Staff was very helpful. Loved the free breakfast, and they provided a pack n' play at no charge to us as well.
Great breakfast and nice evening reception. The suite was nice for a family. The bedroom was small for 3.
Very roomy and clean accommodations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Included breakfast and lunch wasn't gourmet, but the hotel was a fantastic deal, even excluding the complementary meals. Will definitely be staying here when I return to Burlington!
Was far more than expected. Staff was excellent. Suite was immaculate.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was very good w/ample choices for anyone. Pet friendly, there were tags to put on your room door to let people know a pet was staying there. Large comfortable suites.
Place was in the right spot downtown, had a wonderful restaurant on spot, overall great place I would stay again The room next to us fought until about 3am and nothing was ever done about it.. I tried calling down but couldn't get thru to the desk for some reason.
rooms were clean. breakfast was good. location to colleges was good. staff was excellent traffic during week was bad. especially trying to get out of parking lot to college area.
This hotel was a good value. It did not have top of the line amenities but theit location, services and all around offering are in line with the rates they charge.
nothing Pool was broken Very noisy, people drinking late in the hallway
Very convenient location - clean facilities - excellent staff
Employee's are excellent!!
The amenities and friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Pillows were too big and uncomfortable, and the tiles and grout in the bathroom was a little moldy.
Great food and friendly staff. Loved the curried apple soup.
we liked the spa area a lot, the food and the overall atmosphere of the hotel
Very nice amenities and landscapes, super friendly staff, two great restaurants on site. Nice room, nice spa services and easy 30 min drive to Burlington. Didn't love the location. It's not in a charming area really - you get off the road to Essex and then it feels like an industrial zone. As you pull in the Essex, you feel like you're in an oasis, but because the surroundings are unappealing, you're limited to whatever is on-site.
The room was spacious and meals were superb. The staff was friendly and helpful and the new spa was luxurious. The bathroom was too small and old fashioned for such a nice hotel.
The dining at the hotel is really the attraction since it's associated with New England Culinary Institute. The food, especially at their "Butler's" restaurant was very good. Smallish portions encourage enjoying all courses, including dessert, and the wine list, while limited, had some good selections. If you are impatient, the service can be slow. If you are a foodie, enjoy your companions (and the meal) and make an evening of it. Room service is good and reasonable, given the level of the food. There were some small things -- peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, for example -- that should be corrected for a hotel at this level. While the room was spacious (we had a suite with kitchen, jacuzzi and a small gas-log stove they call a "fireplace") it had a "hotel" feel that failed to set it apart. We felt it was overpriced for what you got, and will probably continue to stay in bed & breakfasts rather than repeat a visit here.
Quiet, clean and comfortable. Easy access to airport and Burlington Parking can be a little tight.
Friendly staff. Good food. Although I booked a room online with two queen beds and a fold out - and paid the extra for a jr suite, when we arrived, the room had only one bed. When I called the front, they said they had no record of the request. They could not provide me with such a room because they were fully booked and wedged us into a room with two queen sized Murphy beds and provided us with a cot. There was no room to walk in the room. There was no separate living/dining area and kitchen. My rate was not adjusted downward to reflect the significant downgrade in accommodations. The telephone did not work when we checked in. The TV remote had no batteries in it. I like this resort a lot from past stays. I was really disappointed this time.
The location was beautiful. The room was nice but not as nice as expected for a posh resort. The toilet was not working properly and when I reported it, the staff seemed uninterested in fixing that problem.
In room Menus for the restaurants were not up-to-date. Often had different prices listed for the bruch. For example, the brunch was listed at $21.95 and 19.95 but actually cost !19.95
Easy shopping, movie theater and great food.
Ideal location for this area of North Vermont Not clear that breakfast was not included in price - staff in breakfast area presumed we wanted coffee and did not offer tea without us asking!
Very friendly and accomadating staff. Hotel was clean and beautiful. Would stay there again.
Great rooms, great service, great food at the Whip (the Inn's restaurant). The Inn is right in the center of Stowe so there are lots shops and restaurants within walking distance. I have stayed at this Inn several times and have never been disappointed.
A very comfortable hotel. 4 poster bed. Great breakfast. Bedrooms quite small.
Wonderful stay although short. Would love to stay again someday if we ever get back to Stowe. Would recommend to anyone.
The quality of rooms, furnishings and food in the dining room The dining room was very busy and only one bartender, waited much too long for a simple glass of wine right at the bar with I my 4 people sitting there.
Beautiful scenery, good atmoshere and professional and kind staff. Rooms are cozy and well equipped. Very well decorated common and resting areas A bit noisy, the road next to the hotel is quite busy and the air conditioning too.
Beautiful room with a huge bath and four poster bed, also log gas fire in our room which would be fab when on a ski trip.
Very nice inn. Staff terrific. Perfect for a visit to Stowe.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Location is excellent and the free parking a bonus. Would definately recommend this hotel.
Very pleasant hotel in a lovely location. A few miles from the major ski resort of Stowe, without no doubt having to pay the higher prices. If you want to be close to the skiing action, then you need to drive, but only a few miles. I didn't, so it was ideal for my trip.
My room was very spacious and clean, had a whirlpool tub, working gas fireplace, and luxury bedding. On-site restaurant was fantastic. Literally steps from other restaurants, cafes, bookstore, arts and gift shops. Keurig coffee machine, small fridge, and robes in room. Wineglasses also appreciated. Breakfast was on the pricey side, but portions generous.
everyone was so nice to us. the serves was excellent. their were alot of things to do in the grounds that we like. their was not one thing that i would say that i did not like. everything went well.
The Trapp Family Lodge was friendly and warm from the start. It is a great blend of class and history that everybody should experience. It is true that the Trapps make you feel the hills are alive with the sound of music. N/A
The history behind the hotel. Also, hotel offered us champagne for our 10 anniversary, it was very kind
the cabins were spacious and clean. the gardens are exquisite and the property is expansive with rustic charm. it was difficult to get a reservation for a massage service but that may have been due to the holiday weekend.
tradition, atmosphere, good food, esp. deli-bakery, hiking trails, views
I liked the location I did not feel welcome. I was uncomfortable as though I was being watched by people at the front desk. It might have. Been slow because of the late spring but it seemed like we were the only news staying at the lodge.
Enjoyed the DVD about Maria VonTrapp.
The attention from the staff and the pleasant atmosphere of the lodge & surroundings. It was a surprise stay for my wife - our 40th anniversary - on our way from Boston to Montreal. She could not have been more pleased.
Complete experience, lots more to do than we had time for. Neat summer music festival. Meal plan offers savings. Booking.com offered an unavailable room type (staff couldn't fix but were very nice about it). Should change coffee brands.
the location the shower had extremely low to none water pressure that was unstable in temperature. The heat was locked at below 70.
I was very happy with this hotel. Easy access from highway, big, clean rooms, friendly staff, free breakfast. Everything was new/updated - carpets, bathroom fixtures, furniture, beds.
The staff were super friendly. The room was big. There was mold in the bathroom shower (which my wife is severely allergic to!), the heat was stuck on and the room was 79 degrees. When I went to the front desk the employee on duty was apologetic but said there was nothing he could do. So I had to struggle with the window to open it, but alas, it seemed to be jammed shut. Also, I'd like to note, the stains on the bedding sheets was off putting.
Very comfortable bed, coffee maker, free wi-fi No hot tub.
Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had a musty smell. Maid service disregarded do not disturb sign on the door and attempted to enter the room. Overpriced.
They say that the airport shuttle is available 24/7, but although it runs 24/7, they don't always have available seats. We had to take a 4:15am shuttle instead of the 4:45am shuttle we wanted. So not only did we have to hang around the airport longer than we'd hoped, but we had to wake up at 3:30 am.
Location to Stowe was great, but..... Very dataed hotel, which I knew, but the carpet in our room was wet/damp. Terrible!
It was very comfortable, staff was the best ever, great breakfast, and perfect location for skiing-both downhill and cross country. The family loved the Austrian look of the place. It was very "homey" as opposed to the more basic place to stay. Nice size room as well which was helpful considering all the ski and snowboard equipment that we brought. We will stay here again on our next visit. Steve, Tyler and Madison Armstrong Grand Rapids, MI My family-my 19 year old daughter, my 21 year old son, and I loved everything. We were also provided great advice on where to eat, etc.
The Innsbruck Inn is clean and has a hot and surprisingly good breakfast. Otherwise, it's shabby. The floors (especially from the floor above my room) creaked, the wallpaper is peeling, the bedspreads are torn, the front desk person thought I was supposed to come the day before (good thing I had my confirmation in hand) and no one was at the front desk or reachable by page when I checked out. Next time, I'll try someplace else.
The location was convenient - close to the mountain with good restaurant options near by. Bed was firm, but comfortable. Sheets were crisp and felt clean. Pillows were soft. Descent free-breakfast & coffee. There was a washer (or dryer), but not both... probably a dryer, with a foosball and pingpong table. Two hot-tubs out back. I liked being on the first floor and having an interior and exterior access to the room. Made it easy to park right outside the door and not truck all the way through the hotel from the front. The room was clean enough, but didn't feel really clean. There were stains on the rugs, bedspreads, walls. Towels were rough.
Great stay,awesome choices for breakfast
The beds were comfortable and I liked the fact that there was a clean bed cover with each new guest. The location was good and the staff very nice and helpful. Lots of choices for breakfast. Cookies at the end of the day is a nice touch. I did not like the fact that it was so close to main roads. The hotel is not in perfect condition. The rugs and lifts have seen much better days. I had thought from the description that it would be a "grander" hotel. For breakfast, I would prefer better quality : real omelets and scrambled eggs, more natural yogurts.
The hotel and Staff were outstanding. We enjoyed our stay. The agency we booked through booked the date we left not the dates we needed. When we tried to notify the company for a refund we could not get through 5 times and never got through. Please help.
Clean, comfortable rooms with friendly and helpful staff. Big breakfast and cookies at night. Nice location. We could hear the very loud wedding reception beneath us that went till midnight. I suggest choosing a higher floor or asking about any events when you book or check in.
Our room spacious with lots of windows. We liked having 2 separate sinks. Very quiet. We chose it for the cost. If you wanted to be closer to downtown, you had to pay more for the same comfort.
The room was beautifull and spacious and clean.
Room and public areas were excellent. Everything worked. Surpringly nice fitness center. Good breakfast. Very nice staff. Highly recommend!
What an amazing deal we got for this place. We accidentally ordered the suite apparently and our room was HUGE. The staff was very friendly and it was a low-key environment seemingly insulated from the bustle around it. The complimentary breakfast was pretty standard, and was well-stocked every morning. Our room was kept clean and we overall we loved our stay. The only issue I guess would be that there is NO indoor pool on premises. We asked and were told our key would work down at holiday inn to get us into the pool and hot tub though. We never used those facilities anyway but we would've if they were on-premises. Also, the floors of the room are surprisingly cold, thanks to the tile in the bathroom. I really have a hard time even thinking of "things I didn't like" because this place is great!
If you want a hotel that is truely Vermont in downtown Burlington this is the place. It is totally Vermont. Beds are wonderful, the staff is great and the hotel is beautiful.
Rental bicycles in front entry for client use. Room view overlooking roof of adjacent building.
If you are in Stowe to ski it's a great value. Minutes from the mountain. Good restaurant right across the street. Clean rooms. Dog friendly with backyard access directly from unit. Nothing. Fantastic for the price.
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel, good location and is near the town of stowe among other things, good free breakfest and the employee at the front desk takes care of your needs and questions. I go to Stowe once per year and will make this my permanent hotel going forward.
We found everything to be up to par. Friendly clean and price was good.
Quiet, clean, convenient. Horrible shampoo and conditioner but I wasn't expecting anything good. The coffee maker in our room still had the previous occupants coffee pod in it. Luckily, I didn't care that much and just went out for coffee.
Nothing. I didnt stay there, there was no one at the desk, no key for me, nothing I would VERY much like a refund if possible. They did have a number 'For Emergencies', but them being idiots isnt emergent, just 'Minor Annoyance' . I know nothing about this hotel other than they will take reservations they do not fill, after the hours their front office closes.
Updated rooms were wonderful! Basic but satisfying breakfast spread. Staff were very friendly; check-in was very quick and easy. Great location on Mountain Road. Pool didn't seem as warm as in past years; hot tub was set at 102* which I found to be almost TOO hot.
The staff. Very kind and helpful
Location noise from construction
pool and Jacuzzi. the beds are rock hard. like concrete with sheets. just not what I like but others may.
the room with a big window and view to the river bank, had small fridge and cofee maker. Nice pool. Cleaning staff not always doing good job
The hotel was beautifully placed and quiet. A nice place to find a little peace. There is a resort charge of $18 which is not indicated.
This is the second time that my wife and I have stayed at Top Notch Resort since August 2010. We like Stowe and Top Notch
Even though Topnotch is less than an hour away from my home, an overnight there seems like a world away. I relax completely and feel ready for the week after a night's stay. It is delicious!
The first impression was great and every body was friendly and offering help , I felt at home with family , I had a very nice break , the spa was excellent , the room and bathroom were Very Clean . Even the aminities were great . Everything was available to meet my needs during the stay.
I loved having a fireplace in the room, just wish that we were told we needed to get our own firewood. I also loved that our dog could be included in our trip The maid that cleaned all weekend was loud and slammed doors. I understanding she's cleaning and it looked like it was just her but a slamming door is not what I want to wake up to at 730 am
Location and convenience
I understand that hotels are under construction from time to time, but the hotel needed more signs -- bigger signs -- to direct customers. They had a lot of parents moving in college students - take a lesson from the Universities in Burlington on signs and where to place them.
Courteous staff, clean facility, high end mattresses and pillows, 32 inch LCD TV, and a decent hot breakfast. Entrance to hotel is poorly marked. Also, If one is entering via a left turn (most would, coming from the highway), one must cross an often busy two lane high speed oncoming traffic. Location is in Williston, VT, a bit further out from Burlington, the main attraction in the area and further than most of the competition. But closer to the airport. The building itself is a rectangular monolith surrounded by a parking lot. Not particularly attractive or inviting. Rooms are small. Breakfast area is small; there was not enough seating for guests on a crowded weekend. Lobby and front desk area small. Only a one computer business center. In my opinion, about $20-30/night overpriced. No exercise gym.
Shuddle to the airport
staff seemed genuinely friendly. not that irritating "trained friendliness" which seems so phony and makes you feel silly breakfast was not good. hardboiled eggs tasted like something else as did the oatmeal. had to go out for breakfast.
Facilities and room were very clean and nice. Bed was very uncomfortable and I could feel the springs in my back.
The room was clean and comfortable, with a great location right off of highway 89. Very easy access to the shopping/restaurants in Williston and a quick ride to Burlington. Hotel was a little dated but overall nothing to worry about when staying here. Could have been priced $20 less and would have been ideal.
Fairfield inn continues to be one of the best vale, pretty basic hotels. Clean, modern design, good breakfast, free wifi.
