Love this location. Rooms were nice and clean. The hosts were pleasant, helpful and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. They were not stingy with the happy hour wine, and the breakfast exceeded expectations. Asked for information on local hikes and our host went out of his way to print out specifics without even being asked. Would definitely go again.
I was able to get a reservation on the day of arrival on a holiday weekend. When we arrived we were upgraded to a lovely room overlooking a pond with many amenities. We even received a gift bag. There was a sitting area and a full bathroom. The room was clean. Included was a TV and a plug in "fireplace" for ambiance. Perfect location for our pre-backpacking night near the park. The ligh tswitch in the room was broken. We told the staff, but knew it couldn't be fixed so late. We were able to move a lamp to get better lighting. The floor under our table in the dining room was not clean.
Staff are the friendliest folks in town. Bedding could use an update.
Breakfast (free!) was tasty- waffles and biscuits and gravy. Front desk man stayed up because we arrived late-also told us a better route to reach them. Room was clean, location to Mt Rainier was adequate. Really didn't spend much time in the room, except to sleep. Wifi decent. Bed was comfortable but wiggly. Felt every movement.
Good at meeting basic needs...clean, good wifi, nuce complimentary breakfast, in a very remote area near Mt. Rainier NP. walls thin
The proximity to the park was very good, and it appeared to have a nice little grocery/gift shop, but not much else... Beyond the location, the motel section of this place is dingy and outdated. Room smelled musty, there was hair on my "clean" pillow, and the doors were very flimsy and squeaky. A little money to spruce up this otherwise interesting place would go a long way.
The air outside The sewage smell after taking a shower. No adequate lighting throughout the room. Beds sag in the middle. This building should be torn down or gutted and redone. It has no business charging what it charges for a place as shabby as this!
The only thing I liked about this hotel was that they allowed pets. The pool and spa were not maintained or open to use. Basically this hotel is a dump, and needs a makeover.
I stayed here for an autocross at the lumber mill, and it was very close to the race site, which was nice, and it was also walking distance from several restaurants. It was way too expensive for the quality of the room. The bed was uncomfortable, the carpet was gross, and the decor was just ugly.
Location was excellent and couple running the hotel were very nice and friendly A bit too old for our taste. Rooms were small, TV not great, had to ask for ice when needed. Advertised as with a Continental Breakfast. HA. Nothing more than a cup of coffee and some miniature muffins. They offer tea bags and NO hot water. They do try to sell you on the restaurant next door though.

We loved the hiking we were able to do continental breakfast not available when it was scheduled. Owner's wife very unfriendly.
Location and old time feel Awesome old time feel
Hostel feel. Small room. Very basic amenities. Beds hard as wood, w/headboards you can't lean on. The pillow was crepe-thin, I used blanket as a pillow and was freezing. Shower drain clogged. No coffeemaker in room or elsewhere. Front desk closes @6pm.
