Location was very good. Manager Federico was very helpful.
The other manager (lady) was very loud and walking in the room upstairs late at night and she didn't see the problem that we couldn't sleep for that.
Lovely staff, very helpful. Rooms have everything you need and they are clean. Close to busy stop to explore the city. Great to spent some days there.
For light sleepers - bring earplugs since there is a door bell, also at night. (Depends on location of the room.)
The hostel was well located just close to the Avenida 9 de Julio. The staff was very friendly and the common area were really nice and charming. Price was very good for a three bed dorm.
The rooms would need a bit make over, the inventory is pretty old, but I did not expect much more for the price. However, the walls are very thin so ear plugs are recommended. Additionally, we did not have electricity for a while night and mid day and also no running water, which made a stay very uncomfortable as it was hot and no air condition was working neither was I able to have a shower. According to my room mate, it happened twice in five days.
- Dirty room and bedroom. It didn’t look like the room had been dusted in the past couple of months. The room was also very smelly the first day. After the first night they cleaned the room, replaced the towels and made the bed, then they didn’t do it for the rest of the days. - The last night there was an electricity and water cut starting at 2am, which lasted at least until we checked out the next morning (10am). In the meantime there was no staff in the building and no number we could contact. The rooms were extremely hot, and there was no running water. We couldn’t shower the next day, and had to brush our teeth with water remaining from our water bottles. - Although there is a “breakfast” picture on their account, there is no breakfast, only a coffee and tea stand. - We could not pay our stay by card and they required cash-only. They also used an old exchange rate which was very favorable for them. They accepted the more official exchange rate we suggested instead.
the common area is very beautiful! And very central location.
the dorms are not overly nice and with little room for your luggage, there is a bathroom in each room (or at least in mine there was) but was pretty basic (e.g. no mirror). Seemed more suitable for a stay with a few friends rather than sharing with strangers. No breakfast provided.
