The suites were roomy and clean. It is centrally located and walkable for city center, eating places, tourist sites, and shopping centers. The in room television offered very few English language channels.
very helpful reception staff. knowledgeable about the city. location of the hotel is near buses and only a couple of blocks from the SubTe underground, near many theatres and restaurants.
Luxurous rooms, excellent buffet breakfast
Location close to the event I attended, new, very good service, close to many restaurants, bookshops and theaters.
Very large rooms, brand new and very clean.
The hotel is new with excellent facilities. The staff are attentive. The room was very good, no carpet and was arranged by the daily maid service. The bed was big and comfortable. The breakfast was great. There is still a good gym for those who want to burn the calories acquired the restaurants in the city. The hotel is very well located, you can go almost all the sights on foot and subway station is nearby. The room also has a small kitchen with utensils, which helps on the days they choose not to go out to eat. In short, the location of the hotel room, breakfast and new installations of Icaro are excellent value for money. There is no negative comment to make.
It was quiet despite being on a busy street and for having a room by the elevator. Room was comfortable. COOKING RANGE IN PICTURES DOESN'T WORK. I was told none of the ranges work even though they're in all the pictures. At least there was a microwave, fridge and an electric hot water kettle. Towels and sheets were clean but looked pretty worn out.
Good location near in Buenos Aries centre and close to subway station. Helpful English-speaking staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Smart rooms.
I liked that many rooms have been renovated and the lobby also looks really good. The bar is a nice place to chill out. There's no booklet about the hotel facilities, how to use the appliances and what is available, including room service. We booked a deluxe room which should be two rooms, however, we were placed in a tiny room in the 4th floor. I stayed there in 2006, it was being renovated at the time, and still is! Maybe the crisis is affecting them!
The atmosphere of linking old style with modern facilities. Very helpful staff and very enjoyable hotel lobby. Comfortable rooms with modern look. Highly recommended! Lack of a wide choice of a la carte dinner.
the new renovated rooms (we stayed on the 4th and 5th floor) are good, spacious (although no bathtub) and value for your money no newspaper (while visiting the first time we did get one), the breakfest is very poor (more a 2 star hotel), the staff is not really traint in giving a high quality services (not enough skills) if you relate it to a 4 star hotel.
It is an upscale hotel with good facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a nice place. The hotel is a block and a half away from the National Assembly. The infrastructure in the neighbourhood is in very bad condition and the area is very unfortunately not safe.
We travelled from Australia and arrived tired and in need of a good rest and The Savoy delivered this. The staff was warm and receptive on arrival and the bathroom was indeed a haven as the facilities are exceptional. Parking bay facilities-due to the Hotel on a busy road-made getting luggage from a taxi quite a hazzard
Very impressed by the location and the design which is a mixture between an old colonial style and moder design. Very nice and comfortable room with spacious bathroom.
The hotel is being totally renovated. The rooms that are done are great with modern baths, marble, and decor, the rooms that are not, are not. The exterior is completely covered in construction gauze so you can't see out the windows very well but they are doing a good job with new soundproof doors and windows. No English news programing and only a few English movie channels. Construction dust is bad on some floors but rapidly improving,.
Stunningly beautiful hotel, a piece of history. Both Evita Peron and Albert Einstein stayed here. Our room was great. It had very high ceilings and modern furnishings and a little balcony. The bathroom tiles were marble and the countertops were granite. It was very upscale. I was a little hesitant to book because I had read reviews about the lack of Internet in the room, but that proved to be wrong. For 60 pesos (about 5-6 dollars), we had great Internet service in the room. We didn't have a transformer, and they provided one for us. When we checked out, the bellboy negotiated a great fare for our taxi ride back to the airport. A very upscale hotel, truly beautiful, a great buy for the money. The staff was wonderful and very courteous and helpful. I was very pleased with my stay here and will stay here again when I visit Buenos Aires in the future. The location was great: very central with easy access to the subways, many bus lines and steps to the Parliament Building. Horrible breakfast. Truly horrible! Don't bother buying the breakfast package.
Hotel is very nice, but there are some renewal in progress. Don't stay in rooms to the Callao St, or you'll be woke up at 7am.
good staff, clean rooms, historical building fair breakfast
This applies only to 'standard rooms', but still strange for a 4 star hotel
clean rooms, friendly staff Very poor breakfast. Mostly sweets. Staff inexperienced.
After three weeks cycling through South America, our final hotel was the Boutique Zen Suite Hotel. We stayed at the hotel for relaxing and visiting Buenos Aires. The staff was very helpfull. The bed was nice and the bathroom comfortable.
The staff was absolutely great. Very patient with our inablity to speak fluent spanish. Very helpful with our requests for places to visit & dinning. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The Bed was larger than King Size and the bath/jacuzzi was welcomed after walking the Beunos Aires streets. We felt more than a hotel guest we felt like we were treated like family. Thanks Boutique Zen Suite!
Hotel Staff / Comfort of Room Location
Nice location, nice and friendly staff. Swimming pool and jacuzzi have been not in use and rather dirty (no pump working and a water in the pool had a bad appearance like not filtered for long time). Sauna closed at 2100 (means not available after arrival in hotel in the evening). The price was higher than in some similar hotels without above facilities, but we accepted it and finaly have not used anyway.
We missed a mirror in the room.
The position was great , the staff wonderful, rooms very clarn and comfortable, the spa facilties excellent, would recommend this hotle to anyone !!!!!!!!!!!! great value would suggest music in the pool area
Quite, clean, most of all, large spacious room with art deco design No
The staff was extremely accommodating and made my stay very satisfying.
The breakfasts were very good with range and quality of foods. The hotel was noisy. You could hear voices and footsteps from other rooms, because the walls are thin and floors wooden. We were frequently woken up by noise from other guests.
The room itself. It is huge and "pintoresco" as they say. (picturesque) although it needs a new painting. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is too small in comparison to the bedroom but it´s ok. The glass doors are extremely noisy, specially when it is shut by those who don´t care about other people´s sleep. And the maids cart...my god ! What was that ?! Whenever it was moved from room to room it seemed the whole building was collapsing...this problem would be easily solved by switching the carts wheels.
The room was huge and very comfortable. Cleaning staff was excerllent. Very good location. The shower did not work and they said they will send someone but that someone never came. Lot of work was being done to the Hotel, which made the courtyard look horrible.
arrangements in the hotel - nice atrium in the middle, size of the rooms, ambience, nothing so significant
Room was large (too much...) and the building architecture. It is not "warming"... The lobby was not a lobby...the place to have breakfast is terrible...and most important: very, very dirty (all places)...
Large, clean and spacious rooms, very friendly staff speaking communicative english. Excellent central location with walking distance to most city sights and attractions. The air conditioner sometimes was quite loud. The jacuzzis on the terrace were nowhere to be found...
The location of the hotel is excellent, the attention of the personal is very good. The rooms are huge and comfortable and the prize is OK. It could be a bit noisy, but not enough as to bother. The aircon in the room was not working properly and that made the room quite hot during the afternoon.
Really big rooms, good breakfast and good location. Elevators didn't work throughout our stay, the pool is extremely small ~ so don't count on it too much.
Reasonbly good location for Buenos Aires - we were able to walk into the main centre. Staff are extremely friendly & breakfast (for a continental) was good...cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, ham & cheese, pastries and toast with a selection of jams, unlimited tea & coffee...perfect to set you up for the day. Salon area to sit and read a book or have a drink. Free wifi in rooms was a plus.Comfy bed. Horror hits when first arriving at hotel...sort of "Oh oh . what have we done !" Entrance seems a bit dodgy and not well lit or signposted - the hotel is actually just on the 3rd floor of the building and "Shabby Chic" is a good description. Unfortunately Buenos Aires is a very noisy city...take ear plugs. Air con in rooms sounds like a raging storm all night...add that to the traffic noise...
The staff were very helpful and went the extra mile to enable us to have a good time.
Shared my room with the Biggest cockroach I had ever seen
the atmosphere of the hotel ,the hospitality of the lady who serves the breakfast! the noise at the front rooms
I loved the hotel. Our room was beautiful. Lots of space and the staff spoke english and were very helpful with directions or reservations or whatever else we needed.
This is a gorgeous boutique hotel. We particularly liked the ambience - very chic and elegant. You can tell a lot of care and thought was put into the design and layout of this hotel. The staff were tremendous - helped us with bookings, directions and recommendations. The free tango classes were great fun and a great ice-breaker in meeting other guests. Breakfast was a buffet contenential - fresh produce, plentiful and a good setup for the day.
The staff was very helpful. Good breakfast. The location of the rooms in the hotel faced to the rear and were very quiet...Buenos Aires can be very noisy. The lack of storage space for our luggage..room felt cramped, dark and run down.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The free tango lesson was fun. For the price, the room was very small and very noisy.
good service, well located bueno servicio, buena ubicacion poor breakfast, the neighborhood is not safe, specially at weekends and night time. Desayuno pobre, y cerca de lo hotel no hay mucha seguridad
It was relatively cheap, in a very central location, it offered a decent breakfast, and free internet. It is good value for the money I think. The hotel looks pretty dated (late 80s furniture). The toilet didn't work in the first room they gave us and they had to move us to another. The room smelled a little bit like tobacco (although we requested a non-smokers room).
Excellent location, comfortable, good value for money Would be nice to have a security box in the rooms
breakfast and lobby space cleanness of bathroom
The cleanliness of the room Some staff
Very close to a nice city center, hotel is rather okay, good value for money. Hotel is a bit outdated, elevator very noisy, room super basic. If you can deal with this then good value for money.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a computer station, WiFi, and the staff will charge your 110v electric devices in the office.
Basically the staff performance. It is a good place for people looking for simplicity.
Good and kind personal. Excellent localization. Poor internet connection, wireless don't function on the third floor.
The big bed, and the spa bath Location, congreso is a busy place
From the hotel it is quite easy to get to other places in BA and it was not expensive. However, for about the same ammount it is possible to stay in a hotel with better location (microcentro) or to stay in a hotel that offers better rooms. But for the price charged, I guess they offer a reasonable breakfast, good service (very helpful receptionists) and a very good hot shower. The rooms are a little old.
Everything was OK. Breakfast was ok. Cleaning was fine and the free Internet connection was just great. The hotel is in the city center! We just think that even if the hotel was in the center, in Buenos Aires the center is not the best option. This area was a bit unsafe but nothing happened with us.
