the plaies and the staff in the hotel
The beds are old
Hotel was well located. Staff was competent. Room was large enough for three people comfortably. Bathroom was large and facilities all worked well. Room was kept clean and neat by staff. Relatively quiet.
Good location on the shopping street, plenty of malls and places to eat cheaply. Good price for the location. Taxis, can't get to the hotel as it is pedestrian only area. Problems with elevators meant that the stairs were needed. Ground floor looked like a deserted/disused shopping mall in the evening. Not a nice place to enter after 11pm. Restaurant/breakfast area shabby, no internet access except two shared machines. Under-staffed.
The best thing about the hotel is its location, close to shopping and restaurants. Inattentive reception staff, poor elevator service
The convenience of its location. The front office staff where very attentive and we really appreciated their good command of the English Language! Nothing we did not like about the hotel, it was great, but please do not restrict "William Walker" as the only person able to reply to this survey. Please give other options such as me (his wife!!) - after all you sent this email to ME not him!!!
Location No views at all. Breakfast included and was supposed to open at 6:30 but still no hot entrees by 6:50.
The size of the room. The location of the hotel. The value of the hotel in what you got for your money.
The staff was very helpful. The locations was great! The room was large and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again. No
The only thing I can say is, it's centeraly located nothing else was intresting. well, this is not a 4 star, if I wanna rate it, I would say 2.5, it is a old building which you can hear people in aisle and from other rooms, staff can't speak english or they dont want to (which is not acceptable) and I dont know why they employed them! I asked to clean my room but it didnt happen(they forgot), and the rate they charged was different from what I booked.
It's well located to my local office and a quaintly unique boutique setting. It's small enough that the staff remembers you when you come and go and you are not lost in the crowd, which can tend to be the case at larger hotels. There wasn't anything I didn't like. I would have liked to swim with the roof open since it was warm out and the roof was not retracted. It was summer time so I figured they would have opened it up. Not a big issue and it more than made up for it in every other way.
This was my second stay at Alvear Art. I returned because I enjoyed my first time. I like the location: the area ranging from the Plaza de Mayo all the way up to Recoleta contains a lot that interests me. I enjoy sitting on a bench in Plaza San Martin and listening to the birds and the city while reading something thoughtful and contemplating life. It's nice too to have within walking range a number of nice restaurants. The hotel staff was glad to advise me and make suggestions. The servers in the hotel restaurant treated me like a friend. I believe I have found my place to stay in Buenos Aires.
We enjoyed the helpful staff, cleanliness of hotel and the overall quality was very good A more reasonably priced breakfast would have been a big plus. Expensive buffet breakfast of little interest and not always convenient to leave each morning to have breakfast
The room's confort that it was not possible to have a soup of the menu during room service time.
The hotel is increadible! It´s very confortable and clean. The bathroom is suberb! There is no room service through the night long. The breakfast is very poor comparing to the hotel level. At least, I wonder if the´s a hairdresser at the hotel.
the location and the side of the room together with the garden vieux. the internet acces is pour in the room
Everything is a wonderfull elegant hotel , and you can get it for a very economic rate.
the location was very good. Hotel facilities were also of a very good standard. Room quite large for price. toulet had not been cleaned. Staff were not very friendly or helpful.
good location and big room.
location aircondition badly functioning - can not open window wide enough to ventilate. - matress was awful, felt like waterbed, when ever the other person moved, you moved too.
The facade of the hotel is nothing special- a 19 or 20 story brick building; however, the lobby is very pretty with spiral staircases and marbe pillars. The rooms are a good size and very clean. They charge for the internet, for the water in the room, for the coffee machine in the room, and they charged me $20 US dollars for a collect call to my credit card company. Given that this is one of the more expensive hotels in Buenos Aires, this type of nickel and diming of guests is offensive. When you enter the hotel there are always 5 or 6 people waiting to open the door, yet when I could not set up the wireless connection and was connected to the business center,no one answered the phone-prefer having good service rather than the appearance of good service. The gym, which is advertised as state of the art, consists of a few treadmills and bikes and a universal machine and a few dumbells.Shower took 15 mins to get warm.
Possibility of early checking in and late checking out without any difficulty No real lunch or dinner facilities in the hotel
The location in a lovely part of Buenos Aires, design of the hotel public rooms and guest rooms, and staff were all excellent.
the staff, the breakfast, the rooms, the concierge didn't know that the pool was closing for maintenance and would be closed for 1 week. went to enjoy pool and wasn't not able.
Staff goes out of their way to accommodate and make you feel welcome. Rooms are a good size and well equipped. Very comfortable. High standard. It's one of the better 4 Seasons Hotels. I've stayed there many times now and would definitely go back. No slippers in the room.
Everything was perfect. Concierge was outstanding.
It was lovely. Luxurious and charming staff. Did not like groups of noisy tourists.
excellent service, very polite and helpful stuff, nice room good location.
The service was rich, you feel home There were some troubles sometimes with the lifts, nothing really bothering but total quality is still part of the luxury service they have to offer
Location, boutique style environment, very quiet, breakfast, wait staff, large room, great bathroom, comfy beds. Breakfast was amazing and the wait staff was amazing. They fixed us little to-go container of cookies as a treat. Very attentive. I travel often and I wish all hotels were like this. Can't find one thing I didn't like!
We have travelled a fair bit and its the first hotel that have a policie no outside food or drinks allowed. (Acceptable if the hotel as a restaurant, but ut was not the case) We soon realized, on Christmas eve, all restaurant booked with reservation so we opted to buy a pizza and go back to the room. Well to our suprise the night clerk was very rude and obnoxious in refusing us to bring the pizza to the room. It was quite disappointing. We sat on the curb and enjoyed a slice and then gave it to people on the street. All to say , had we known that ahead we would not have rented this place. Very old, dated and cleanliness is less then desirable. Mildew in bathroom, ac was not cooling the place let alone we requested a second key so we could keep the unit on while away, and that was also an issue and a drama to get the key. All to say there is lots of hotel in BA and this is not one we would recommend.
Love the amazingly large rooms in a city, great layout of the bedrooms with huge bathrooms. Most of all loved the people, who made our stay incredible. They helped find us new, unique restaurants and sat with us at the bar to talk about life in Buenos Aires. Would stay there again everytime I'm in BA.
1. Professional welcome and check-in 2. Large rooms 3. Charm and history of hotel 4. Location 5. Frontdesk staff 6. Proactive spa staff looking to accommodate schedules 1. Low energy lamps are ok, but they should choose to have a lightning that underlines the beauty of the hotel. Currently it's lightning is like in a hospital... 2. Breakfast area should be kept more tidier, when there are a lot of people. It was a bit messy.
Nice room, good food, excellent staff service. Internet connection poor.
High ceilings and elegant atmosphere from a time long ago.
The Plaza is a wonderful piece of Argentina's history. Excellent location in the heart of the shopping district. Wonderful, friendly, attentive personnel. Their recommendation for the restaurant 'Las Nazarenas' was one of our highlights, fabulous!!! It is a historic building, so there are some quirks, but in my opinion, well worth it. My only issue is that Wi-Fi should be included. However, it is for free in the lobby.
The building was well kept and the staff was professional. The location of the hotel was ideal. We had visited the hotel 8 years ago and haddinner there and we decided to stay there this time. It lived up to our expectations.
Kind people at reception and services; localization 1 - lack of energy for two nights left the rooms without air conditioning and light; to fix theenergy entrance cable was a task for the hotel that lost time to identify the problem and contract maintenance - no compensation given fo this fault: we expected a discount in rates for these two nights...but not.
The staff was very polite and kind; we got an upgrade to a luxury room that was excellent! The hotel is clean, the room is cozy and modern, the location is perfect, near the major shopping streets. Breakfast is a plus, with a good variety of food that is well made and fresh. An excellent choice for anyone going to Buenos Aires, definitely would stay again! Nothing, everything was perfect.
Everything was really great. The reservation was respected, very clean and quiet room, big and confortable double bed, nice bathroom with a jacuzzy. Breakfast is ok. The staff is heplful and polite. Localization: better impossible, two squares from 9 de Julio and two squares from Calle Florida, lots of good restaurants around. I'm sure i'll be back. None
My wife and I stayed for 8 nights in connection with an international sport event. From the location to the staff to the size of the room were all beyond our expectations. We walked to almost every neighborhood in the city. The supermarket across the street was a real convenience. The staff is very friendly. We liked everything.
Room was comfortable. Good breakfast The room was a little run down- with the door broken. The bathroom was extremely small and claustrophobic. While the ratings say 5star- it is no where close to a 5star...more like a 3star hotel.
Too cheap and therefore there is no single chair in room. The only thing you can do is luy down on the bed
Room was somewhat shabby. Despite large size, flow in unit was awful and bathroom tiny. Just did not have a good feel.
The Feirs park was very central for our needs, quite spacious, and very handy to shopping, restaurants and transport hubs. Good buffet breakfast and good room facilities.
The staff and the food were excelente. None
The remolding was very nice and they now have a full time restaurant. All staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We had to extend stay due to illness and required late room cleaning and it was no problem and met cheerfully. At Plaza hotel 3 months ago, if you were not out of your room by 2pm, forget having it cleaned or fresh towels and that claims to be a 5 star. The room is large, mini suite at a near economy price. You can spend a lot more at other hotels for little difference and you can spend a little less and get a lot less. Our room is 3 times the size for only $20 per day difference than the last ostensible 4 star. This hotel borders on 5 star. Not the best location for business but nice for sightseeing.
