The highlight of the stay at this hotel was the full breakfast included in the room rate which included delicious pastry, cooked to order eggs, fresh squeezed juices.
Excellent staff - most spoke some English and all were extremely helpful, friendly and polite. Great location, nice area and close to metro. lovely lounge room on 2nd floor with relaxation area and free internet. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Other guests were sometimes very noisy coming in late at night.
Location, breakfast, staff Ventilation, air condition, noise
we had a nice stay and a good bed after a long and tiring trip no
The room was extremely clean, and the staff was helpful The basic room was very small, and the bed is full size instead of queen size.
They were attentive and helpful. We arrived early and they held a bag for us for a week while we travelled south and then had the bag in our room for when we returned.
its location, in a very good area of palermo-Its size, a small run hotel, with friendly staff and good service facilities and breakfast the fact that there was no window in the room
Friendly and hepfull staff Not at all..
tone of the hotel; great buffet
Lovely hotel - Rooms excellent and public areas attractive. Walking distance to excellent restaurants and boutiques and staff brilliant. Nothing - it was wonderful
the reception and breakfast staff were very very nice and the location is great. the housekeeping needs improvement, specially for the price. The savery options at breakfast were kind of poor and the bar closes far too early
Staff, very helpful and friendly No
A great hotel in the best location of BA, just a couple min walk from all the best restaurants, bars, and disgners shops. Really great personnel at the reception desk. Beautiful place to relax after a day BA.
Great staff, extremely pleasant, and helpful. When I first arrived, they helped me with the taxi driver who was trying to rip me off. The staff gave great tips for restaurants, shopping and were really nice. The room was great. Jacuzzi in room was a nice touch.
The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful and our room was lovely
The design of the hotel and rooms had immediate impact on arrival. It is stunningly designed. Breakfast is gorgeous with a self-service buffet to suit all tastes and whims. Machine-made coffee was available from the waitress. A very small point- no self service hot beverages available at breakfast. Excellent coffee was freely available from the waitress but guests can't help themselves to hot drinks or a top-up.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great hotel.
Location right in the centre of Palermo. Great for restaurants, bars, shopping. We stayed in a standard room. Small. No windows. Shower and bath inside room leading to a damp smell. Tedy design. Great if you're in your twenties. Less good if you're looking for comfort, space and light.
Great location, very well placed and located, good breakfast
Excellent, attentative staff, boutique style, location, location, location Walls were thin, and transom windows made for some noise in adjoining rooms and hallway
Very good location in trendy Palermo Soho. Hotel interior design is also trendy. Most staff very helpful. Breakfast time flexible from early morning to afternoon. Rooms can be rather noisy, not so much from outside but from inside of the hotel. Despite young age of hotel, some facilities do not function anymore. Some staff not so friedly.
The biulding and design were cool Quite a few minor problems with the room - toilet not flushing, broken draw, no safe for the first night
The location of the hotel was perfect, amidst several blocks of cool stores, art galleries, restaurants and cafes. The hotel staff was really welcoming and efficent. The breakfast was complete with fresh fruit, coffee, milk, eggs, cheese, ham and an assortment of breads, jams and dulce de leche. We stayed in the Soho suite, a very spacious room, with a lovely balcony. The room also had a jacuzzi and was beaultifully decorated in a boho chic theme. We definetely recommend the hotel! All being said, we'd like to notice that although the hotel is clean, some details in the decoration and facilities do need improvement in their maintenance such as the wallpaper in our room (with edges coming off the walls) and floor of the bathroom (stains which might look like mildew or water leaks). However, if you're not a picky guest/traveler you won't even notice (we did because my sister is a picky traveler and kept pointing out all the details - but also she and her husband stayed at The blue Soho hotel and all in all granted it as a satisfying experience).
We liked everything. Beautifully Decorated, The staff very helpful and friendly. The front rooms are very nice but noisy because of the street.
The staff is really amazing. All the people there are very nice. They treated us the best way I have ever been treated in a hotel. Really a VIP service. Other two things that called up to my attention were the trendy location (in Palermo, next to the actual coolest places in Buenos Aires) and how comfortable the room is. This is a good example of what is called a boutique hotel.
A very charming boutique hotel in a perfect location. The staff were lovely and helpful. I would have loved to have stayed longer. The breakfast selection was complete with everything. A very enjoyable stay and I loved the jacuzzi. The rooms are not huge but probably par for the course in this area, but more than enough.
Big bed, lovely bath, general comfort on an epic scale breakfast was poor and items ran out before the end of breakfast time. i.e. I was not able to get any bread at 10:15 (breakfast was 8:00 - 11:00)
Large rooms, comfortable bed, air conditioning There is no computer / internet access apart from Wifi. The night porter was not around when we returned to the hotel, a couple couldn't out of the hotel, and had to go and look for him. Breakfast service was rubbish - hot option was cold by the time we arrived, and serving staff disinterested, and reception staff had poor knowledge of service (internet access) in the area when asked. Bathroom did not have a good finish - design "touches" are one thing, but expected a better standard - the floor looked as if it hadn't finished being laid - ie no tiles.
i loved the helpfulness of the staff, the comfort of the hotel, and the location was amazing. The breakfast was not to 5 star standard and the bathroom was a little more on the 3 star side (eg the door wouldnt close, the tiling looked aweful).
Great location, good size room, very comfortable bed very friendly staff. A little pricey for what you get. Bathroom could do with a bit of touching up and breakfast could also be improved a bit.
Nice lounge, very nice dining/breakfast space. Cozy atmosphere and nice decoration. The room was too small for the price, and parts of it were scabby.
common areas were beautiful the room looked nothing like the picture.
Service was good The confort in the room was very poor
The location, the room, and especially the staff were outstanding! The staff were so helpful and accomodating, truly amazing service. I'm never going to stay in another chain-hotel again; in Buenos Aires boutiques are the way to go!!! Some construction on the hotel was not yet complete (as it is a brand new hotel that just opened a week ago) and this caused some unwanted noise at times. However, the staff did an amazing job of keeping this disturbance to a minimum.
fantaqstic staff, great design and great ambience nothing
Great common areas to hang out; very helpful staff; fantastic location in Palermo.
design of old buenos aires mansion musty smell everywhere in room. totally unacceptable.
Folks running the hotel are very cooperative Water flow is too slow to use tub. Showere suffers also. Breakfast is limited and typical european.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was lovely. My room and bed were very comfortable. The location was fantastic with lots of great restaurants within walking distance.
We loved the decor, which reflected Argentine style; every room was unique. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, the gracious and comfortable rooms, well-appointed breakfast and beautiful setting made for a relaxing and highly enjoyable stay. We were sorry to leave! No.
I liked the staff. I felt as though I were home... Very comfortable and pleasant sorroundings too. Patios and lobby, as well as outdoor jacuzzi area.
Decor was lovely, great location, friendly, helpful staff Slightly expensive
very attentive staff, breakfast in room at no extra charge
nice little apartment, good location near some pubs and resturants. Can cook your own meals if you want so thats a plus for anyone staying here a long time
The appartment exceeded our expectations. It was clean, modern and very reasonably priced - we liked our 2 night stay at the beginning of our trip so enjoyable we returned for 2 nights at the end of the trip as a treat. Staff spoke excellent English and were most helpful with our queries. No
There is no recption desk at the hotel. The office (on the 10th floor) was not open in the morning when we had to leave for the airport. The doorman could not reach anyone with his cell phone. There was no one at the hotel to help us or to take payment. Breakfast was advertised for an additional charge of $5.00 but it didn't appear that this was even available.
The spacious accomodations the view
My girlfriend and I thought the room was excellent - clean with modern appliances, and in a good part of town for bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Javier and his staff really looked after us, and were very helpful.
new (although not completely finished), spacious room service very limited, the swimming pool area not very attractive to sit and relax
Looked forward to returning each day. Everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. Great TV channel selection.
First room we got had very bad cigarete smell but stuff replaced our room right away Bathroom water did not clear out of bath tub good was annouing Breakfast finish to earley also while we were eating they started to close it made us feel uncomfartable this happend twice also breakfast have very poor selection
location and facilities are very good for the price no
Comfortable bed, quite safe area, latin quarter atmosphere with boutiques and good restarants and bars within walking distance Tv noise audible from adjoining room
Convenient location, very comfortable bed, safe neighborhood, lively local scene, good restaurants, bars, boutiques and shops within walking distance. An extra chair is needed in the room. Two people need at least two chairs. The safe is on the floor of the cupboard, therefore difficult to get to . I should be at least at table height. Two pictures were missing from the wall, presumably stolen by previous guests. I feel that the hotel is not receiving the full attention of the owner or a manager, if indeed there is one.
Good location; spacious room. Our room at front of hotel was too noisy.
Location. Staff was very helpful. As the hotel was full, breakfast service was not good. Too many people and few staff to answer. They were not prepared.
The staff were outstanding and arranged two wonderful excursions for us including a trip to see Boca Juniors. The hotel was attractive, comfortable and in a great location in Palermo - close to lots of great eateries. Beds were really good and we slept well. The rooms are a little dark and it was a shame that the roof terrace was not lit up at night (like in the pictures) so we didn't have a drink there after all.
Place is amazing. Staff is really attentious. It is really beautiful. Bathroom is a little small, but you can live with. Very charming. Bathroom is a bit small.
While the hotel was comfortable, elegant and well-situated within the city, my favorite part was the customer service. The front-desk staff and breakfast room staff were so accommodating and warm, I felt right at home.
Excellent, friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. Great breakfast. good location. Would stay there again and recommend.
The staff was definitely the best part. No matter who was on duty at the front desk, they were helpful, friendly and polite. Everyone was able to assist us with directions, recommendations, reservations - and it felt like asking an old friend. I have never wanted to return to a hotel to visit the staff before, but as I left that was how I felt about 1555 Malabia House Hotel! In addition to the staff, we enjoyed our room: it was large and comfortable. Wi-fi coverage throughout the hotel. Yummy breakfast croissants and fruit salad, not to mention the omnipresent dulce de leche candies. It's an old building and noise carries. Bring some earplugs and you'll be all set!
Beside the wonderfull simplicity inherited from the Convent, the location is great. Meeting lots of interesting people over breakfast... the little happyhour at 19:00...everything is made so you can feel taken care of. But i have to say that the best thing in Malabia is the staff. They are just great and wonderfull people to meet...they will tell you where to go, what to do, where to eat, what to order...e-ve-ry-thi-ng. You will miss Buenos Aires a lot after you leave. Thanks guys. Hope to be back in Malabia soon. Not really.
We arrived early on a bus from Chile (7am) and the host upgraded our room as the one we had booked wasn´t available until 3pm, we were extremely impressed by this level of service.
Hotel interiors are well designed and charmy but the old, historical building carries a number of problems: rooms insulation, moist, also careful which room you book as the cheapest ones have the bathroom outside of the room.
Lovely rooms with beautiful furnishings. Common areas were also beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Good breakfasts with the best fruit salad! The only negative thing about this hotel was the noise - constant door slamming and loud stomping throughout the night. Or perhaps is was poltergeists...it is an old convent after all.
Staff is outstanding. Always helpful and ready to assist. The hotel is also a beautifully appointed and unusual building. Noise travels easily but as the guests were quiet it was no problem
- great location - breakfast was very poor (they served only cheese and jam and bread and fruit salad). - the bedroom was ok but there was no window to the outside so it was extremely stuffy. - it was also very noisy, we could hear the first person arrive to start the day.
All that we wrote already. Great staff, very solicit. Your questions should have and english option since I don't necessarily speak spanish. breakfast could offer more items.
Very modern, stylish room, the great location in the heart of the Palermo district, with it's shops and resteraunts. The staff is super. Couldn't have been nicer !
Good location, lots of room, great bed Main floor needed a good wash and some hooks etc. needed to be fixed, T.V was not working
Room is clean and large, heating is great. Our room, ground floor (with spa), was extremely noisy throughout the night. The staff, whislt certainly not rude, were not as accommodating or helpful as other hotels experienced in Buenos Aries
We loved the 'sleeping loft' & massive bed, staff were very helpful, great place to relax, lots of space, contemporary design shower was either cold or scorching
the security was good, the rooms were clean and modern, and the beds were very comfortable. the services and facilities were not 4 star standards. for example the cable television wasn't working for the entire stay, the breakfast was very limited (we had better breakfasts at backpacker hostels in bolivia), there was no complimentary coffee, tea and sugar despite a sign saying there was, there were no mini shampoo and conditioners, and the bathroom design is modern but impractical eg there was only 1 hook to hang a towel and no bench space.
Nothing, service it was really bad........
Very friendly, comfortable rooms, all we wanted. No
Large, clean and comfortable room, hotel in modern style. Good price I could not go walking to Palermo Soho, where the shops are. The rooms that face the street are a bit noisy some nights. Poor breakfast.
Got a heavily discounted winter room. Good value. The room was a good size, well appointed and close to Palermo Hollywood restaurants (a few blocks further but fine...). Small kitchenette means you could buy from a shop or cool drinks in fridge. Would be ideal for summer, with the pool and terraces. Showers don't seem to have alternator working properly; so, either boiling or cold. Took 5 minutes to get it right each time. I complained about heating; to their credit, the team then bumped-up the temperature of the under-floor heating which was toasty.
I like the enthusiasm of the staff to answer questions. I liked the design of the room, I liked the bed and the free breakfast. The staff is not adequate, The rooms are in bad condition. The location is next to train tracks. In the morning the staff makes too much noise.
Barbara went out of her way to make me feel welcome. She gave me good advice on where to eat and things to do. She also arranged for a really good guide to take me on a tour of the city. Her input alone contributed greatly to my enjoyment of this wonderful city.
Service was excelent, with above average attention to detail and customer care. Nice look and atmosphere Though well located in Palermo, is a bit far off from the center. The SPA was not working yet...
There may be a slight advantage over large hotels which can sometimes be relatively impersonal. The hotel has only been open for 4 months and there are some problems. In our opinion it has been opened too hastily. There were plumbing problems in our room, resulting in a 'drill-like noise' from wind in the pipes. On the final night of our stay, this noise disturbed our sleep and the toilet began to leak, To compensate, the management refunded that night's stay. The breakfast arrangement was bizarre as it was served on coffee tables near the bar area. They did not have orange juice one morning and each continental breakfast was served individually which made no sense from an efficiency viewpoint. We weren't told that cereal/ojuice or yoghurt were available, as they offered croissants, fruit and coffee/tea as a standard breakfast.
The space in the room, the sence of autonomy, the number of apartments, the staff, the location, some aspects of the design (beaty). Some aspects of the design are not functional. P.ex. the place for is awfull (the tables are very low - not easy to eat on it as well as not good for the servants); the light "over" the beds should be on the side of the bed for reading at night - too strong when one of the couple wants to sleep; the absence of wall between room and bathroom is not good and so on.
friendly and helpful staff, clean and quiet room, good facilities, recommended.
Staff were excellent! Beds were extremely comfortable. There was a constant noise in the room throughout the night. Approximately every 5 minutes there was a tapping sound which I think either came from the air condition or through the walls. It was very disruptive and made sleeping difficult....this was really a shame as the bed was so comfortable that we almost felt like we couldn't properly enjoy it. Also, I did not think that the placement of mirrors was convenient. They were "hidden" which made it very problematic to look at yourself. I would suggest that the placement of mirrors in the room be reconsidered.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were spacious with all mod cons. Breakfast of a good standard. Area was poor
I had a fantastic stay at OWN Hotel, the staff and rooms are of a very high standard and I can honestly say I could not find any faults with this Hotel. Very professional, knowledgeable, helpful staff (who all spoke excellent English). Incidentally the Bathroom in my room was almost identical to the one in a room I stayed at the much lauded Gruelich Design Hotel In Zurich Switzerland http://www.greulich.ch/ENG/index.aspx - Very swish indeed. Keep up the good work, I only wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you Own Hotel.
The close proximity to local amenities and metro system
People were very pleasant and helpful. Room was big and confortable The bathroom! Quite below standard
minimalism designed clean and spacious room, located in a great neighborhood with restaurants nearby. also very close to the center of the Palermo's night life center. The AC was a bit small for the room, so takes some time to heat up the room in a cold July day.
Excellent service, comfortable beds, big and clean rooms, great location. Would definitely recommend it. Not applicable
Excellent staff, fantastic location, clean, great design, quiet, relaxing and overall really great. Breakfast gets boring but the area is filled with fantastic places - the hotel offers a quick coffee/tea fix in the morning. Look for indulgence outside.
Service at hotel, employees are very helpful.
Room, staff, location.
location no public areas... other than the breakfast lounch
Overall atmosphere and decore of the building. (What wasnt underconstruction) Was not advised that half of the hotel was under contsruction at the time. Upon first entering the room there was a staff matanience man fixing the shower.
Great botique hotel. only one computer with internet access
This is a wonderful, intimate, welcoming hotel - great rooms and amenities, a great location (with some particularly fantastic restaurants just a short few minutes walk away) - by far the best feature are the staff, who were all incredibly professional, endlessly helpful and always happy to please. 100% recommended.
Attentive staff, spacious room. Bathroom too small given the size and cost of the room. Only one sink and no bathtub.
The staff was helpful the location great- Pricing was a tad high
the location is ideal for people who are looking for good restaurants and good shopping outside the usal tourist guide indications. Palermo is a place you must go in Buenos Aires. the rate should be a litle lower to adjust the value for money criteria and be in line with similar places in the region. some training for the cleaning staff would be very helpul.
The staff was knowledgeable and informative and went out of their way to assist us. They could not have been more helpful - arranging the most fantastic day of horseback riding and polo lessons in the country (our favorite day!!), restaurant reservations, and when I asked where a drugstore was, advised me that the drugstore delivered and arranged for the same.
The staff was remarkable and took care of every need. Location was also excellent. nothing
Location was good and staff very helpful The hotel advertises as 5* but it is more of a good 3* in my opinion. It is overpriced when compared to other hotels such as the W group which is in a different league completely.
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Also, our rooms were cleaned every time we left the hotel which was a nice treat as was the turndown service and chocolates on the pillow.
nice hotel, well located we had some problems with noise
The staff at The Glu Hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The rooms were scrupulously clean.
Friendly staff and location. 1. Not clean ie. bathroom 2. Rooms were run down and inconvenient designed, 3. bedding was awful, bed uncomfortable. so not happy with the place that i left 3 days early and moved into an apartment for a week which was cheaper, nicer and more room i.e. 100sqm 3 floors and roof top.
This hotel is value for money, It is situated on the Soho district of Buenos Aires with good eating and shopping facilities all around it. Our room was of a decent size and very comfortable. this hotel had good security. All positive statments
Muy amable - The Hotel has a family flair and the Stuff is very friendly. You fell like living by Friends at home. The Room ist very nice. Nice Garden. The Hotel is in Palermo Soho, one of the best quarters in Bs As. My Room was very smal - No Wardrobe and no cupboard in the bath
The reception area was lovely. Great location. The bathroom looked like it was still under construction with a loose shower head, a concrete floor, and a toilet that didn't work properly. I'd check the room before staying again.
Perfect location for shopping closed to plaza Palermo Viejo, staff very nice and helpful, hotel and room nicely decorated, good breakfast included My room was not sound-proof at all and I could hear everything going on in the hotel, room a bit cold (September)
I liked the location and also the service was good As a woman travelling alone, I felt very uncomfortable with one of the staff members working at the front desk. I would not recommend this place to females travelling solo.
The location and the atmosphere were perfect here. If you are looking for a cosy place and not an ordinary hotel in a trendy area in Buenos Aires you definately go to Jam suites.
Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff from the owner all the way to the chamber maid. Very casual, relaxed environment in a terrific location. Delicious breakfast served at our convenience. Access to all areas of the hotel. Did not take credit card payment.
The location was perfect, right in the center of Palermo Soho and the price was also excellente. The bathroom could use a little renovation. The towel hanger was broken, the shower had a minor leak and the toilet was a bit loose, a coat of paint would be nice too! Also, the walls are paper thin so yes you can hear other guests, but nothing major.
excellent staff, luis and victoria are marvellous! the hotel is in Palermo soho which is a lively and amazing area of Bs As. The tube station to downtown is +\- 15 mins walk from the hotel.... Great experience!! Btw, read carefully the email you receive from the htl and brig cash! the bathroom in our room got flooded every time when we showered... but if yu're not too picky you get used to it quite easily.
The hotel is new and feels like it in the best ways. Crisp new sheets. Fluffy towels. Modern and colorful decker. And above all an extremely gracious staff who made it feel like home. Very friendly and kniwledgabel. I had initially only intended to sty for a week. I stayed for almost three. And was sorry to leave even then.
Great location among the restaurants and bars of Palermo Left my glasses in the hotel room. An email to the hotel was not responded to.
very comfortable beds and excellent breakfasts, super friendly and helpful staff. Location is within walking distance to shops and restuarants. some noise in the nieghborhood, thin walls but the location is in an urban area.
Nice friendly atmosphere.
