VERY BAD - I had paid for the rental in advance. There were multiple vehicles available, however, a delay in our flight made us miss the "2-hour" window which I was unaware of. The company charged me an additional charge of over 4 X the rental cost.(€850. I can understand that if there were no vehicles available, and they had to rent it to someone else, but this was just raping me for a technicality just to get more fees. Really bad form. I have President's Circle status with Hertz and Gold with Enterprize Rental, so I am very familiar with auto rentals and have never had this happen before. Very distasteful. There were managers and supervisors in the location and they were unwilling to provide an experience and were committed to taking as many fees as technically possible from me.
The car we reserved (2 months in advance) wasn’t ready when we arrived. The agent wasn’t sure if a car would even be ready later that day…but we could pay a lot extra and he could magically get us a car right now. It felt like a scam. We went with a different company.
