Ease of check in. Room was not very clean, beds old and very low to the floor, bathroom shower was a mystery.
I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, and the fact that I was close to Cazanovia. We had some difficulty getting the heat to shut off.
no The room, cleaning.....
I enjoyed how luxurious the room felt. It was very close to the restaurants and the game floor. The staff was cared about how you felt about the room and they came back into the room to make the stay romantic. I didn't enjoy how thin the walls were. My fiancé and I could hear the people that stayed next to us. It didn't help that they were drunk and they went around the barrier onto our balcony.
The Lodge was a beautiful and luxurious place to stay. It was romantic and well appointed. Great linens and very well done room. Great spa in the hotel and breakfast was very good at the restaurant. Casino is next door and ok. Steak house on 21st floor of casino hotel is quite nice. Service at steakhouse bar was slow. Casino was kind of smoky/dirty but I think that's expected in most casinos. Comparable to New York New York in Vegas.
We love the variety of restaurant choices and the overall grounds. The casino was decorated beautifully for fall. Having the spa option is also a plus. We felt the room rates are a bit steep an prohibit us from visiting more often. We stayed on Sunday night and some of the venues we were going to visit were not open such as the jazz Bar.
Shuttle to casino resort is on demand, arrived five minutes after we called. Our room was quiet on the end of the hallway, clean, spacious.
Affordable option instaed of the casino!
Beds were comfortable, pillows were good. To loud period. Not only the people in the halls yelling at all hours, but if you can hear the guy in the next door room sighing as he wakes up in the morning, the walls must be made out of tissue. That means they can hear you too. TV next door running all nite heard that too. I understand you cant control stupid people, but that's really your job, to put the parties all on the same floor, then you can control them all. Wouldn't go back for those reasons
Our room was clean and tidy and the staff was friendly, but the shuttle to the casino running on half hour increments was inconvienient at times. Also, our floor was VERY noisy on Saturday night, especially after the bars closed. Had to call the desk but little was done to resolve the issue. Good stay overall.
Very clean Our air conditioner broke so our room was 80 degrees and it was terrible. Front desk couldn't do anything about it and I will never go back.
The bed was very comfortable.
Rooms were great Breakfast s were lacking. Choices limited.
like going green, quiet, comfortable, very adequate.] very pleased with the easy of chek in and check out and everything. no problem at all.
Found the staff extremely helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean. Loved having the shuttle to and from Turning Stone. Very prompt service. We go to gamble so it's a perfect place to crash for the night, shower up and head back to the casino.
The front desk staff was nice Rooms were sub par for the premium I paid, security staff was obnoxious and kept knocking on my door for a loud TV. I could see if I was a teenager having a hotel party but I am a grown man. The fact that security kept bothering me really ruined my stay. I would not stay there again.
A friend and I were up visiting friends for a family party so we chose to stay at The Craftsman. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although the rooms were somewhat outdated, the beds were VERY comfortable and the bathrooms were clean (two of my "must haves"). We were given a coupon for breakfast at the restaurant next door. It was delicious. We have friends in the area so we'll be back for sure! The Craftsman looks like it hasn't been updated in a while. Everything was clean but bathrooms were outdated. Shower pressure was awful. Restaurant was next door. It would've been nice to have a free continental breakfast IN the hotel.
Starting to show it's age. Our room had stained carpets, drawers were missing knobs, Major paint chips on door trim, torn drapery panel. Squeaky door hinges( perhaps housekeepers should keep a can of w D 40 on their work carts). Overall our room was tired looking, clean, bit tired looking. Noisy a/c. In my opinion, not worth $115.00 a night. What happened to the continental breakfast that used to be served?
The staff is accommodating, and the location is great. The outside looks inviting. This was not my first stay at the craftsman. We were in a family room last time which is one of the newer areas. This time we stayed in the original, older rooms. I wanted to love this place. The concept of the family rooms is appealing. There are a lot of common areas. But the buildings just needs upgrading and some TLC. The rooms have old televisions with bad reception, run down restrooms and old furnishings. Too bad because this really could be a gem!
I liked everything, Room was comfortable and very clean. Heat was easily controlled. My daughter was having surgery in Oneida Hospital and the motel was just a short distance from the hospital. Location was perfect for us. I really liked having the safety bars in the bathtub. Every room had a microwave and a refrigerator. Free breakfast was available every morning. nothing
Located very close to hospital. This is a very old hotel property that is in desperate need of updating. Old loud air conditioning units, old bedding, and old carpet.
Clean, affordable, location Firm bed, older bathroom, leaking faucet
Central location is good but sits back from road. Cheapest of motels in area but not worth $100 plus cost per night. motel should be all non-smoking.
