Pros: It was on the beach, bright, clean and nostalgic.
Cons: Restaurants were just ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great resort- room food pool and on the beach.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and modern. Close access to beach. Friendly staff. Food was great!
Cons: Maybe a game room for kids or family activities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful! Food great!!
Cons: Not the best coffee...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Right on the beach. There is staff on the beach to set you up with chairs and umbrellas. The pool is very nice as well. The staff at the beach and pool are super friendly and helpful . The food at the pool has improved over the past couple years and is pretty decent. The rooms are super comfortable and the studios provide enough for you to make a few meals in the room. Great place to stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Beachfront bar, beautiful beach with free loungers, nice pool and comfortable beds.
Cons: Early check out and no water bottles provided to make coffee-tap water didn’t taste good in coffee. Starbucks Coffee in lobby only available until 11
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was fabulous, the staff was excellent and the food and amenities were great. I liked that there were several dining options and walking onto the beach from the pool or hot tub. So convenient, fun and beautiful.
Cons: We stayed in a King studio with a Queen sleeper sofa which was plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 young children. Unfortunately, the Queen sleeper was so uncomfortable even the children couldn't sleep well on it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service at pool
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Housekeeping staff was amazing...went above and beyond!
Cons: From our very first booking in the “special requests” We stated that we needed a roll away/folding cot for our stay to be more comfortable. This note appeared on all of our confirmation papers & emails we understand it couldn’t be guaranteed but upon arrival we were informed this item has to be rented from an outside vendor requiring additional fees and phone calls etc. what a hassle!
4.8 Okay
Cons: Hotel is a bit tired - it is an "ok"'place to stay if you get a great rate. The " standard "brochure " rates however make it VERY overpriced
7.9 Good
Cons: Not enough information was given at check-in on the use of beach and beach chairs

Pros: It was very clean! Super location! Close to the beach, could even walk to Stone Harbor “downtown”! Kitchen had everything we needed to make great meals and save going out all the time!! The staff was very accommodating - let us check-out but used the beach tags and pool on last day!!
Cons: We just needed paper towels!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable
Cons: Air conditioner rather noisy
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the room was very clean. the staff were pleasant. the parking was ok. some people took two spaces. I don't think that was appropriate.
Cons: parking. maybe asign spots
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and close to the beach!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall clean attractive property , full kitchen with plates pots utensils one of those that offer condo out options
Cons: Phone didn’t work
7.1 Good
Pros: 24 hr staff availability
Cons: Too early checkout times. No sheets and pillows for the pull out bed.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location; close to beach and a restaurant/bar on the premises. Helpful staff. Each suite has kitchenette, spacious living room, and separate room as a large bedroom. There are chairs outside of every suite so you can sit outside anytime, day or night. We have been going to this hotel for over thirty years, every summer. It has only gotten better and better. Never disappointed with this wonderful place.
7.5 Good
Pros: The beds were uncomfortable and the couch was uncomfortable and the toilet was too low.
Cons: Ditto

5.8 Okay
Pros: The property is kept neat
Cons: Beds are uncomfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was my fourth stay here and will be planning on staying every year. The whole campground is great from the lake to the pool or a bike ride through the camp. My grandkids want to live there that's how much they love it. This place is a must stay to love it Always a great time.
Cons: A longer vacation Myself and grandkids hate to leave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the perfect size and price for our stay.
Cons: The beds were uncomfortable but we could live with it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bunk bed felt like you were sleeping on a piece of wood.... hard wood.
Cons: Just the bunk bed comfort
7.1 Good
Pros: We liked that the camp site was quiet and family friendly. My son really enjoyed that there was a playground and a pool as well as a convenience store.
Cons: The beds were extremely uncomfortable and impossible to sleep on. The ceiling fan in the living area did not work. And the only other complaint we have is the arcade was poorly maintained and we were not able to use.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and the queen bed was comfy. Liked the full kitchen and spacious living room and screened in porch.
Cons: The bunk beds were a little uncomfortable and the shower was a little high to get into. But definitely an upgrade from where we stayed before.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the resort location to the different beaches. The place was super friendly (the staff) and helpful. Very easy to check-in and answer questions without being rushed. We liked the ease of coming and going in and out of the resort without restrictions by using our key card. Also, they welcome dogs. Huge plus.
Cons: We rented a cottage with a screened-in porch and (it was having mechanical issues apparently) so they had to put us in a different spot, a brand new tiny house (which was super cute). The place was very nice but no screen-in porch, which was a big bummer and neighbors were super close, but better than a cottage that was out of order.
6.7 Good
Pros: My family loves the idea of camping at the beach! The camp ground is conveniently located to several NJ beaches and boardwalks. The amenities of the camp ground are great with the pools, lake and activities available. Staff couldn't be nicer. We stay in the cabins and they are perfect for families with young children. We found the camp ground last year and were excited to return.
Cons: The cabins could have been cleaner; last year they were immaculate, this year not so much. The floors in particular, were swept but not mopped. If you walked in bare feet or if the babies were crawling around, your feet and their feet and knees were literally black. Had to go buy a mop and clean the floors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like everything else
Cons: What I do not like was that the , water from the the cabin had a bad odor it smell, reminiscent of rotten eggs or sulfur , I had to buy gallons of water to wash are face and wash are mouth and as well to cook and pay for the full service not half of the service and I hope they fix this problem

Cons: Room was pretty dark.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This beautiful inn was just like stepping back in time. Lorraine, the owner, did an absolutely superb job of decorating the inn to bring it back to it's original splendor. The grounds were just picturesque. Staff was so very pleasant and helpful Breakfast was a full breakfast with banana pancakes and so many more options. Parking was so accommodating and literally right behind the inn. Restaurants in walking distance The room was very comfortable not closed in. Again ambiance throughout this gem of days of yore. Will absolutely stay there again!!!!!!!!
Cons: I found nothing I would change or do to make it any better, it was perfect.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A cape May beauty. The house is amazing. Decor very dated but keeps with original house era. Comfortable beds. Would stay again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good. There was a nice variety to choose from.
Cons: I would have preferred eggs that were on the plain side.
6.7 Good
Pros: The room was very clean.
Cons: The light over the bathroom mirror did not work. It was very warm in the room and we did not have any control over the air conditioner. We had to sleep with the windows open. The bed mattress was very old! It sagged in the middle. For the price we paid I would not expect these issues!
7.5 Good
Pros: Second time staying there. Pleasant and quiet. Third floor room is not great due to steps
Cons: Steps to room 5
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast was delicious, better than a restaurant!
7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast and staff
Cons: Needs to update tech more tables needed in room to place things
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent...inn Keeper. Very personable. Great breakfast 2nd day.
Cons: I should have opened my mouth ..we had the room with half the roof slanted so it wqs NOT a full room. Poor lighting. We had a sign on the door to make up the room. No one tended to that. Breakfast first day was horrible. Microwaved food. 2nd day was alot better!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: We took breakfast at the coffee shop opposite the hotel. It was just lovely.
Cons: The air conditioning throughout the hotel was very chilly. We tried adjusting our room air register, but it did not seem to be able to raise the temperature at all.
7.9 Good
Pros: Outside restaurant was lovely. Bar area fun.
Cons: Could only valet park. Lines to get car at times annoying. Too far from beach. They have gold cart but there can be a wait for it. Pool area a total joke. Beds were very soft and uncomfortable. Walls thin. Could hear everything going on next door. Wedding music played late.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pillows were phenomenal and the blankets were awesome.
Cons: Pizza was not what I expected.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great, staff was extremely friendly and attentive. However the price was about $100/night higher than it should be for the location/resort in town. $500/night plus $40 resort fee is a bit pricey for June.
Cons: The service was great, however had a margarita in the outside bar and the drink was not very good. My wife's white wine was not anything great but acceptable. Two drinks were $30. In contrast that evening we went next door to the Margarita Bucket Lounge and the drinks and service there were excellent (for the same price...).
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The fact that I ordered room service & then could not have it delivered outside.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean hotel with a great view over the bay. Services at the beach are really nice and make things super easy. You just arrive and voila towels, chairs, an umbrella and food to order. That’s something really outstanding for the Jersey Shore.
Cons: Hotel was really just nice enough, staff for the most part weren’t trained properly and had difficultly answering questions. I was expecting a real knock your socks off experience.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location and room
Cons: Staff not friendly, dining room very slow and not attentive
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The terrace - beautiful lunch and dinner overlooking the water
Cons: The rain!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious 2 queen bed rooms; very modern & inviting. Loved the electric car shuttle to beach & beach setup of chairs, umbrella & towels.
Cons: Rooftop plunge pool & hot tubs- very small inadequate area.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the room and the restaurant/bar. live music was a great touch.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed and high end linens.
Cons: Request room far from elevators. Wedding partiers very audible in hallway at end of the night.
Big Timber Lake Rv Resort - Cape May Court House - Building
8.6 Excellent (193 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Cape May Court House, this cottage is within a 5-minute drive of Avalon Golf Club and Cape May County Zoo. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The employee, the cabin, everything was lovely
Cons: I loved everything about it
7.1 Good
Pros: We really liked the fact that the cottage had two bedrooms. Overall we were very satisfied with the cottage we only had one comment for an improvement which is stated below.
Cons: Although the floor of our cottage appeared to be clean it was evident that it has not been mopped in quite sometime because by the end of the first night our feet were completely black. I would just recommend adding maybe some type of like wet cleaning to the floor if possible.
7.5 Good
Pros: no breakfast
Cons: Hard mattress Could not adjust the temperature in the cottage Staff in the office area not very polite Ants and flies in the cottage
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the environment, the grounds. There was a lot of people but it was not noisy, it was actually rather quiet. The people are all friendly, staff and guests. It was close to the garden state so to go wildwood or cape may it was all under a 15 minute car ride. Will definitely come again!!
Cons: Although the floors, kitchen and dinning room were cleaned, our beds all still had a lot of debris on them. Also, I was not told to bring toilet paper.. There was only one roll for my whole family.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a lovely, restful vacation. There was sooo much to keep you busy, or not do anything at all if you want, it’s up to you. We will definitely go back next year.
Cons: The toilets were a little weird...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved all the activities for the kids! And the cleanliness of the place!!
Cons: I can’t say I did not like any thing but there are things I believe could be improved upon. 1. In our cottage there was “soft spots” in the floor which if not carful will cause some injuries in the future once those spots give way. 2. Also the water in our cottage had a “strange”(fecal) smell. Not sure if it was just well water swell or a surfer smell But definitely gross.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our cottage was in a great location for all the activities. $20 for zip line obstacle course was well worth it.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location to the beach and great amenities on site for kids/families. The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful.
Cons: The cabin was filthy when we checked in. There were a lot of flies/bugs in the cabin when we got there so assume cleaning people left the doors open. The bathroom was very dirty. The water in the shower smelled terrible. We skipped showering after the 1st day because it was so gross. I expected a much nicer cabin for $200+ a night. We stayed at cabins in Hershey that were MUCH nicer for less money. If not for the closeness to the beach and on site activities offered I would have considered this a terrible vacation. We could not have stayed in that cabin a week- 2 nights was more than enough.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: mostly the room itself... the activities surrounding the cabins. The security!!!
Cons: N/A
8.8 Excellent
Pros: There was a lot to do for the kids. Really nice grounds.
Cons: The water had a metal smell/taste to it.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent for beach going and wanting to explore the shopping center of town. The staff was beyond helpful and extremely friendly. Even after we had checked out from our stay they allowed us to use their beach tags for the day as well as take a dip in the pool and utilize their changing rooms. I would 100% stay here again.

Cons: All goof
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was great - near town, restaurants and the beach. The managers were very friendly and the property was clean.
Cons: Room decor last updated in the 1970s. Window units for airconditioning, old furniture, no closet, rust on baseboards. Very very dated - especially for the price.

Pros: Staff was wonderful, location close to town, and beach.
Cons: Fresh coat of paint, new carpet, updating and not only perfect but comparable to other Motels near their location

7.5 Good
Pros: The pool
Cons: The air conditioning awful! Did not work!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's an old motor lodge that is well maintained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We didn't know there was breakfast, but I wanted to take my goddaughter to Uncle Bill's for breakfast since she had never been to the Jersey shore before. The location turned out to be perfect for us, because I wanted to go to the Bellevue Tavern for dinner, and wanted my goddaughter to see both Stone Harbor and Cape May.
Cons: No complaints--we were impressed with the cleanliness, and the 'extras', like a full-size refrigerator.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms and staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a fire pit and plenty of picnic tables to relax at. Will definitely be coming back here to stay in the future !!!!
5.0 Okay
Cons: Not very clean really needs updated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room,very quiet
Cons: Outside door squeaked when it was opened or closed
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel was definitely acceptable although quite a ways from Cape May. It seemed pretty clean, and there were nice, apartment sized top-freezer refrigerators in each room. These and the microwaves were nice luxuries. The rooms were a good size. The bathrooms were tiny (and I mean tiny) but doable. The motel is older, so we were not expecting all the features of a newly built motel and were fine. The ability to park at our door was super nice.
Cons: The smoking on the premises outside was not so nice. The beds in one of our rooms were pretty saggy and very creaky, but all were not. Overall, the stay was ok, but there might be places to do better for the price.
6.7 Good
Pros: The front desk was wonderful and responsive. The price can’t be beat.
7.5 Good
Pros: Fridge in room; cleanliness; easy access; front desk personnel
Cons: Shower
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and cleanliness. Loved having a kitchen
Cons: The decor was dated, it was like stepping back in time
7.9 Good
Pros: The empty pool all to ourselves
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy
Cons: Could be updated
