I liked the Jacuzzi tub, and that's... IT!!! I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me... Well, maybe if they paid me $20.00 and hour to stay for a night. This place sucks. It's next to the freeway so there's no relief to the droning on of tires on road... The staff was less than helpful, I had to practically yell at the guy to do his job which he was very inept at doing. As twenty minutes into the yelling process I finally got the room we booked, and we enjoyed what was left of our evening... But the bed, sheets, and pillows came from Wal-Mart or Big Lots which is not the $260/night quality I expected. I expect that of about $100/night hotel. This place has ZERO value. Go here if you like burning your money.
The young man at the front desk was courteous and diligent. He had a wonderful welcoming smile. He also came to the room to fix the TV which had no reception. The location is right off the freeway so easy access to beach and campground or any amenities There was an odd odor everywhere. Damp. Tiny bathroom and tub. AC was so loud. It took over an hour to get the tV fixed. To be fair it was very busy at the front desk but he was working by himself.
When the word "boutique" is in the name, there's your 'tip off'. This is an older motel property that someone sweetly tried to 'gussy up', many years ago. A fair value for the price, though. The reservationist, (only staff), was very friendly, and helpful. I had to ask for a washcloth, and the TP roll hadn't been refilled.
The manager lady was really nice & helpful.
The staff was friendly "lucky" was great to work with. He even offered a 2 bedroom for 15$ extra. The place isnt made for kids. If you want a place to sleep with a shower for a cheap price. Stay here. I'd stay again. They adder soaps and stuff but is bring my own
The location was central to San Clemente allowing me to walk to places for dinner and drinks. The manager (Lucky) was friendly and helpful given the circumstances. The room was fine for a 2* hotel; actually somehow I had a two-bedroom unit for some unknown reason. I had a reservation for two nights booked months in advance. However, the property was overbooked and only honored one night of my reservation, without explanation or advance notice. The on-site manager wasn't in the loop with the remote owners (unreachable) on the situation. I had to scramble to find another place to stay the next night.
Comfy bed, location close to our son's apartment. No air. No hairdryer. Coffeepot but no coffee grounds or anything else to make coffee with. Refrigerator made strange noises. A lot of outside party noise. Microwave turntable was broken. Worst of all, dirty floor and funky smelling bathroom. We were assured someone would clean the room. Came back late, no clean up, not even the bed was made. Then found out the next day that there was no maid service whatsoever.
Location was good. Two blocks away from the main area. The place is old and the carpet is a bit gross. We can hear men yelling outside our room. I would stay here if I was literally just passing by... And needed a place to rest my eyes.
It was cute and the location was great for walking to the beach and to the shops
Nothing at all Staff was horrible especially the blonde witch
It was clean. Staff was nice NO PARKING..It was limited and to tight.. 2 dents in my new car door. I think it was high priced for listening to the freeway all night. need blinds. The outside is lite up for safety but to bright to sleep.
The location and proximity to the beach and downtown are great. I enjoyed the 3rd floor since you can actually see the pacific from the terrace. The room was spacious and the elevator was an unexpected surprise. Parking was not as bad as it has been made out to be. Attractive room with a good setup. The room could have been checked more thoroughly. Found some not so pleasant spots and stains, that would otherwise go unnoticed but I'm kind of a stickler for cleanliness. With that said being that I had a wedding to attend I was not about to play the "give me another room or renegotiate the price or refund me my money" game. TV was acting up, remote wasn't fictional, DVD player was inoperable (and not properly connected). It's a good thing I spent my time getting ready, sleeping and packing to check out otherwise this review might have been longer. OH and I thought the price was a little high, but with the holiday weekend and location I can see why It came to be so much... Not pleased, but I understand.
Price and location Amenities were missing out of room. Internet difficult to connect to. Television impossibly complicated to use. Advertised free breakfast and pet friendly, neither of which is true.
THe room was clean The staff was very, very rude. They made me and mY guest very uncomfortable.
Location and the ownership. Very cordial and up to date. Answered all of our questions with ease and a smile.
Beds comfortable Staff not too friendly
The room itself was nice and clean. The man who helped us was friendly. It had hot water and was across the street from 7-11 The location was noisy due to the front of the hotel facing the busy street. It looks like a cheap motel when you pull in and for me, way overpriced but I guess that's what you get for San Clemente
The bed was very comfortable, the room was always clean, loved the new keurig coffee machine and other than the street noise which is to be expected.....it was quiet. This is the second time I have stayed here for these reasons.
Friendly service, offered early check in for additional cost. Located a little further from the beach and entertainment, than I'd like and was more like a motel 6 than a hotel.
Friendly staff and clean room. We were pleasantly surprised.
Clean nice beds Owners are very stingy told me to use kcups two times. My partners stuffed animal was taken from room after departure. I returned the next morning and was told it was not there I am sure it was left there.
comfortable bed pictures online were somewhat deceptive manager's apartment exposed, junky backyard
It was close to our event, We actually hated the hotel. It was so noise we had a hard time sleeping. The room was upstairs and no elevator. We had to wake the starf to get breakfast (after the time it was suppose to be available.
Leaving No heat, No hot water, TV remote did not work, No sink stopper, No lotion in the dispenser, Noisey, No coffee pot or ironing board. Basically no continental breakfast. Extremely overpriced!
The room walls and doors were dirty
My best friend and I stayed here for a low-key spring break beach trip, and it was the perfect little place to come back to. The room was adorable and very clean, it was very central to many cute coffee shops and super close to the downtown area and beach. The staff was friendly and respectful, overall well worth what we paid. There weren't many ammenities for our use, no hairdryer or microwave except for one on the patio. Also the shower was very weak, kind of sad to use after a day laying in the sand. Not a dealbreaker by any means though.
