Pros: the breakfast was wonderful and the location was very convenient , the room was spacious , very comfortable beds and beautiful bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super welcome, great decor, large well appointed room, extras in the bathroom, large comfy bed. Breakfast to die for. Close to the station so you can drop your bags and walk into town. Denis is a wonderful host, and couldn't be more helpful. No problem to leave bags before and after check-in.
Cons: Only having booked for one night - we'll be back!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Close to town. Very caring landlord. Clean and comfy. Spacious room. Great retro decor. Total blackout blinds - set your alarm if you want to get up!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is without any doubts one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in, and the best accommodation I 've been in France. It's extremely clean, with a friendly and helpful owner and as a major bonus for me, very quiet. The soundproofing is second to none, the breakfast is great and it's interestingly decorated without being garish.
Cons: Nothing, really.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff (Dennis) was great. Room was very cool - great decorating. Breakfast breakfast a lovely garden. Breakfast was also outstanding.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property itself is certainly the most original we’ve seen in all our travels. Vintage, as in cool. The decor is 70s and 80s, in spacious airy rooms and bathrooms that look newly renovated. And the beds, oh the beds, king size and super comfortable. Our room had a sitting area and French doors overlooking a wonderful garden. When we checked in, we were served some nibbles and a lovely glass of wine in the garden. The lounge has refreshments available 24 hours including expresso and houses a huge collection of vintage memorabilia. My favorite thing was the corncob telephone. The hosts couldn’t be nicer or more helpful, you can tell they love running the place. Breakfast was very fresh and the quality of the cheeses, ham and croissants and bread were superior to the usual breakfast fare that is served in hotels. Yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, fresh-squeezed o.j. and homemade jams rounded out the selection.
Cons: Not a thing! It was perfect.

Pros: Carcassonne's claim to fame is its fortress which is the largest in Europe that is still intact. The Carcassonne Guest house has one of the finest views of the fortress in the city, and at night ihe fortress is spectacularly lit and the view from the guest house terrace is wonderful. The rooms at the guest house are large, well appointed and clean. The place is run by an affable Irishman named Patrick who knows his way around the town and his restaurant recommendations were spot on.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was over our expectations
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location for the old and new parts of the city gave excellent choice for eating. Good restaurants are on the door step and lots of good ones are within walking distance. The view from the roof terrace is hard to beat, especially at night when the Ramparts are fully illuminated.
Cons: Everything was better than expected The spiral staircase was a fine feature by may be a problem for less mobile people.
7.9 Good
Pros: The main "plus" points for this Hotel were the location, the cleanliness and the helpful owner and staff. Excellent bathroom which had recently been refurbished.
Cons: The room was very small, which I don't suppose the owner could do anything about. The breakfast was a little basic. These days, I would expect more fresh fruit at breakfast time and the croissants were, to say the least, a little small.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was cordial and helpful. There is a terrace on the top floor with a spectacular view of the Castle. This alone made the place worth the cost. The rooms were spacious and charmingly decorated. We had a room to sleep 4 ppl and it was comfortable for everyone. I definitely recommend it.
Cons: The air conditioner was not working. The bathroom had a strong sewage-like smell (we kept the window wide open and closed the bedroom door to contain the smell). The breakfast was priced higher than the content's worth.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: WIFI, staff, room, 3rd floor patio view were all great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location. La Citè, is within easy walking distance and a pleasant stroll across the river takes you into the Bastide with shops, restaurants and the canal du midi. Little bars and shops on the Rue Trivalle add a lovely atmosphere especially in the evening. Loved the garden at the back of the hotel and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms may not be big but they have everything you need and the bathrooms are very modern.
Cons: Nothing. This was my second stay at The Hotel Du Pont Vieux and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very helpful. The garden and roof terrace are awesome! Being such a short walk from the medieval city was great!
Cons: The rooms are relatively small and there’s no elevator.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was a a real delight! We booked a room in the villa and were delighted to find that we were in the garden annexe - our own little pad, close to the main kitchen in the house. The room was fresh, beautifully decorated and laid out and scrupulously clean. Our host was charming and explained everything to us, including how we'd find breakfast in the morning (we were leaving early), how the gate and code worked, what to see in the city and which restaurants we should try. We were only here for one day / one night but it rounded our holiday off wonderfully. We felt comfortable, relaxed and very well looked after.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. A peaceful haven within easy walking distance of restaurants, the Citie, the river, the Canal du Midi, the New City. Juliette speaks perfect English and is full of really helpful information on where to eat, what to see etc. Our room was spacious with a view of the castle which was a bit surreal, especially at night. The room has a kettle and you can also make drinks in the dining room, plus buy wine by the bottle/glass on an honesty basis. There is secure off road parking.
Cons: There was very little to dislike. We had a few mosquitos (not the properties fault!). It would perhaps have been nice to have had some freshly chopped fruit at breakfast. Paying similar to an hotel the servicing and replenishing of the room could have been more consistent but I know Juliette would have supplied anything extra if we had asked for it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Villa Carcassonne is a little paradise. Modern and tastefully decorated (I think the photos make it look a bit old fashioned, which is absolutely not the case). Gardens similarly lovely and peaceful. Private carpark is very useful in Carcassonne! Super comfortable bed and bathroom, pool a bonus. Breakfast was also great, and Juliette is responsive and friendly. We have no hesitation recommending this property. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Fridge wasn't strong enough to chill our drinks in the middle of summer but probably fine the rest of the year.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The garden room with private bathroom and outside seating was very private. With a very pretty room with comfortable bed and pillows. Adequate storage for clothes and personable items.
Cons: There was a bit of a problem with payment as no card machine and we weren't advised to take enough cash. It cost us an extra £5.50 to transfer the money online. This was quite stressful as my friends do nothing online.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The host, Juliette couldnt do enough for you. Very pleasant and fluent in many languages. The little pool area is beautiful and the beds are the most comfortable we've ever slept in away from our home. The location, just 5-10 minute walk inbetween the old and new city is perfect.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet secluded location, with access to both the new & old town a short 10-15 min walk away. The maison itself is lovely, as was the room. We stayed in a room with a balcony and the view of the castle at night was incredible, especially during a lightning storm! The host Juliette was excellent, great communication and happy to offer advice and local recommendations if required.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens/grounds. Lots of character, very sympathetically renovated and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners. We had two good meals in the restaurant next door and the breakfast in the hotel was excellent. The location was perfect for us, being a few miles out of Carcassonne but easy access to the centre via a local bus at only €2 return per person! We would certainly recommend this hotel.
Cons: We liked everything!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property is very beautiful, and the staff made everything perfect. We had an excellent dinner at the property restaurant.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with well-appointed room, good outside space and a nice pool. Very nice breakfast.
Cons: We were a party of six and had booked and paid for six people. However, when we came to check out the hotel said we had only booked for four and had to pay a supplement. A phone call to booking.com resolved the situation, but beware if you are booking for a larger group. The owner's rather aggressive handling of the situation soured an otherwise very pleasant stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This beautifully restored chateau was the perfect spot for our stay. The welcome we received from Emma set the tone. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the pool provided much needed relief after a hot day at Carcassonne. Be sure to have dinner at the restaurant - one of our favourite meals in France. This really was a fabulous spot!

Cons: We thought we would have help with our luggage from the parking lot—the website said so—but that didn’t happen. Veronique was at the parking lot to meet us, but the instructions on where to meet were not clear. We had to ask for clean towels.
7.1 Good
Pros: Was right in the old city
Cons: The staff didn’t appreciate children
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in Carcassonne . Small boutique style hotel. Breakfast was very good. Room was large and bright. Very nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable except for pillows. Staff very helpful. She even met us at the main gate to escort us to the hotel.
Cons: Pillows on the bed a bit floppy. Shower above bath could have done with a panel or curtain to prevent water going everywhere.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice, quirky style of rooms. Breakfast was especially pleasant, including local specialties. The hosts were awesome, we also got a good recommendation for dinner in the city.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about Domaine de Marseillens. Serge and Muryiel were so welcoming and friendly it was a real home from home. We loved the location half way between the medieval city and Lake Cavayère although you may need a car if you don’t want to walk far. The hotel is a little bit different from the usual, individual and very French in character. We absolutely loved it.
Cons: Nothing at all, we liked everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just two mins drive from the walled city of Carcassone, this property is a little gem. The facilities are excellent with a lovely pool and sunbathing area; the rooms are very individually styled and comfortable, lots of stone and wood make this a really interesting place to stay. Serge and Muryel are absolutely lovely hosts serving a superb breakfast, they made us very welcome and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast choices served at large communal table. Muryel and Serge are good hosts who took the trouble to introduce us to fellow guests. The location is very quiet but only a few minutes from the walled town by car and on the same side of town as the large parking areas. Property is old and atmospheric.
Cons: Would have liked a full shower in the bathroom but there was a beautiful old bath with a very good hand shower so cant say we didn’t like it! That would just be icing on the cake!

Pros: Very tastefully decorated accommodation with very welcoming hosts. Really obliging by giving lift to airport as taxi not available for early flight.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed here before, it was excellent then and still is.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful friendly staff who took the time to chat and remember guests. All restaurant recommendations in the town were excellent, a foodie heaven. Perfect for a 2 night stay. Relaxing surroundings, would love to come again and use pool in warmer months.
Cons: Room 235 is noisy. Car access to city means you are disturbed 5am to 10am and there is a road grate outside bedroom, clunk clunk with every vehicle - no sleep after 6am, Including rubbish collect around 6am. No afternoon nap either as cleaners access storage room and constantly let door slam, worst noise in afternoon 2-5. We told reception and they were understanding to look into it. Also main power and lights are connected so we couldn’t use charges overnight as the light would stay on, it made no sense and on first night we couldn’t get lights to turn off, we had to call reception at 5am to help us. Even the gentleman who attended us was confused but changed some plugs to solve temporarily. Nobody checked on us regarding this issue over next 2 days but we just moved around in dark at night. I would stay again but request garden view room. Loved castle and understand old and creaky - lots of character.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was super comfortable.
Cons: Light switch was oddly placed
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in an amazing setting. The staff were very friendly and if you drive and need to park in their off-site, secure car park the porter who will take you and your bags becomes your personal tour guide for the cite on the way.
Cons: €9 for a bottle of beer in the bar seemed excessive to us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the service were superb.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: LIkes: Fabulous view of the City over the Walls Overall feel of the hotel Comfort of the pillows and bed Best location for staying in the Old City Terrific breakfast Complimentary castle tickets
Cons: Dislikes Car has to be at least 200+ yards from the hotel--no private auto access--they use a small van to take you to the hotel. The room we were in was quite small--the closet door backed up to another needed door--constant banging. Chair for the desk had arms--could not go under the desk--another small room issue Partial glass separator for shower in the bath does a lousy job of keeping water in the tub Needs more electrical outlets--especially around the desk area

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Replacement for tea and coffee would have been good!
4.0 Okay
Pros: Bed was very comfy. View was fabulous.
Cons: Very disappointed no restaurant which isn't made clear in hotel information. Room service menu and wine extortionately-priced as was breakfast at €25 each, we had 2 breakfasts for €28 all in over the road. Didn't appreciate not having coffee pods replenished for second night and then discovering that we were required to pay €1 for extra pods.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modernity cleanliness quiet
Cons: No restaurant..very pricy room service food
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the room. It was very spacious and clean. It had a really nice bath and extremely comfortable bed.
Cons: I paid for the king sized room through booking but the hotel did not receive my reservation. However, the staff were very professional and friendly and the hotel found us a room in the twin bed room instead and did offer a complimentary drink for the confusion.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The closeness to the Cite.
Cons: The small room despite being superior double. No proper view from the balcony. When the bath drained, there was a "stream" downstairs on the ground floor near the entrance of the hotel, foul smelling. Not a room we would recommend to anyone! No proper restaurant, just a room service menu (what fortunately could be served on the outside terrace). Parking not on site (however, we knew that but still, not pleasant). Breakfast was a shambles with tables not being cleared timely enough to allow new guests to sit down comfortably.
