Pros:
Cons: Too loud to sleep in weekends Maintenance team is too slow I wish we had a bathtub

Pros: Service cleanliness excellent
Cons: I was under the impression that there was a discount on local NCP parking. When checking out my ticket for parking was processed and a fee of £19.50 charged. When I left the car park I was charged £48 (the rate for 2 days). On phoning hotel indigo they refunded £19.50. I feel they should make it clear that the discount only applies to one NCP carpark. They should name the carpark where the discount applies

Pros: Upon arrival we were instantly amazed by the decoration and size of the place. The lighting and colour was extraordinary. As we were checking in, the receptionist gave us a free room upgrade and a free drink on the house for me and my girlfriend due to a special occasion. Our room was heaven, it had everything that we could’ve hoped for and more. It was spotless from head to toe. The bed and couch was very comfortable and size of the room was great for us. As we stayed on the fifth floor, our view from the balcony was amazing, we could see right across Cardiff Bay. The toilet was immaculate and shower/bath was very pleasuring and relaxing. The staff were very nice and friendly. I would definitely be staying here again for sure, and i would recommend this hotel to anyone if you have the money to stay in it

Pros: I liked our view of the bay and the hotel was lovely.
Cons: It's the kind of hotel that takes itself too seriously. It was billed as a five star resort, but the only difference I could see between it and any other hotel in the states was the bidet in the bathroom.

Pros: Excellent breakfast and ideally located for Cardiff Bay

Pros: The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfy. Staff were helpful and friendly and the location was ideal! Would highly recommend .
Cons: The lighting in the room was a bit dim, especially near the mirror (not ideal if you need to do your makeup) and the shower adaptor was cracked and was spraying water in all directions.

Pros: Good staff, friendly and helpful, good location, and the en-suite bathrooms were amazing to spend some time in the shower after a night out in the concert I went to near by, first time I stayed with them, and won't be my last one for sure!
Cons: Nothing to complain about really, it was good value for money, could be cheaper but that's not a deal breaker for myself personally, also could be a bit better digitally speaking, bigger TV's perhaps and sign in to get your room key process, as I said nothing on the hotel or staff just personal taste.

Breakfast was a simple buffet of cereals, fruit pastries and meat and cheese. the house was lovely and quiet in a nice location with a pleasant half mile stroll into the city via Sophia gardens and Bute Park

Pros: The location was ideal for the City and for local restaurants/pubs. The host was very friendly and helpful, and made a special effort to accommodate my need for a gluten free breakfast.
Cons: the radiator was broken which made the room cold even though a heater was provided. We only got a small pot of coffee or tea with the breakfast and the host could have offered a refill.

Cons: Breakfast is fine but not amazing. Didn't regret getting it the first morning, but didn't sign up for it again the second morning. AC system may or may not have done anything. Imagine it could get a bit stuffy in summer if that is the way it always is, as windows don't open.

Cons: We ordered food in the evening, & it was awful. Seemed like it had been warmed up in the microwave . We had hard pizza which was supposed to have anchovies, it had two which tasted nothing like anchovy. We also ordered fish and chips it came with cold peas with black on them & a cold gluey tartare sauce with hard bits, not good. The manager in the restaurant was good though , he gave us a refund and a free drink.

Pros: We were there to do some Christmas shopping so the location was brilliant. Hotel over the road from castle but didn't consider the extra charge worth paying for a castle view as we were only there for one night, however I love castles and it would have been lovely to be able to see it when we were so close. Room was really big and the beds were comfortable.

Cons: Bathroom had a really horrible smell (room 330) which put me off going in there. A cross between drains and damp not pleasant at all!!!! Bar and restaurant not very cosy. The bar is practically part of the reception area and the restaurant has furniture more fitting to a cafeteria. Ok for breakfast but wouldn't want to eat in there in the evenings not very relaxing,

I also liked that the hotel charge a gold coin donation to store bags which goes to a local homelessness charity.
Cons: It really is right along the railway tracks - good sound-proofing, but you will hear the freighters so bring earplugs. The windows are even frosted so you can't see out (which would just be a view of the tracks, I expect). Suitable for a one-night stay, but not great for business travellers since there is minimal desk space and just a stool to sit on. The advertising that the Sleeperz chain is 'design-led' and changing budget hotels is, well ... a bit hopeful, really. Most of the other chains are well ahead, although Cardiff is still sadly underserved by contemporary hotel experiences (it's why Indigo is now almost always sold out).

Cons: The style and decor of the hotel is dated. Most of the staff were ok. The breakfast on the first morning was lovely. Alas I cannot say the same for the 2nd morning. The fried eggs were like rubber and the sausages....I couldn't cut through the skin!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool area is clean, spacious, and attractive, which was a good bonus--my child enjoyed himself there for hours when we weren't out sightseeing. It was also easy to get late checkout at no extra cost, another big plus as were were leaving later in the day. The location is fairly convenient; we could walk to the old part of Cardiff and to the castle (though they aren't right next door).
Cons: The bathrooms are starting to look a bit tired. The rooms are basic, but this is what one expects from Novotel, so no surprises there. Our meal at the restaurant downstairs was just okay.

Pros: The bed was comfortable and room clean.
Cons: I am in the prose of writing a complaint to this hotel manager as i purchased the city break for my adult son and his partner to celebrate a special birthday. However they were challenged on reception, making them feel uncofortable having to ring home to speak with me - this was unprofessional of the broken english speaking staff that lacked insight and dampened the evening. The stay got worse when the both were woken very early (before 8am) the next morning by builders/workmen who tried to burst into they room, as staff had mistaken it for unoccupied. No aplogies from staff and this special celebreation spoilt.. this was not expected from Cardiff Marriott Hotel.

Pros: The breakfast was wonderful, the staff were lovely and friendly.
Cons: The room was very small and claustrophobic and the decoration was definitely in need of a update, and although the bed and linen were comfortable it was the smallest double bed I have ever slept in a hotel in my life. Also the windows were absolutely filthy so you struggled to see out of them.If it wasn't for the fact it was my friends birthday and did not want to make a fuss I would of definitely complained and demanded a room change or our money back.I was disappointed not what I was expecting from a holiday inn.

Breakfast was truly appalling. All "hot" food was not quite tepid and well past its eat by date. I was looked at as if crazy when I asked for a freshly cooked eggI bacon was cold and tough. Cons: Rude receptionist Poor car park which was very expensive

Pros: The mattresses was comfortable.
Cons: There were only 2 pillows on the bed. We got back to our hotel at around 1 and expected there to be extra pillows in the wardrobe but there was none. At that time of night we didn’t want to be faffing around calling room service for more pillows. The pillows on the bed might as well not have been there as when you put you head on them it just hit the mattress. We ended up putting jumpers under our heads to prop it up. For a 4 star hotel I would expect better. We stayed in the park in by raddison last year, and like a lot of hotels there was 4 pillows on the bed and extras in the wardrobe. The air con also switched its self off every few hours. (Completely off, not just because it had reached temperature) and it was stiflingly hot. Overall got a great stay.

Pros: Great location, nice atmosphere in bar. Helpful reception staff. Nice breakfast (although mushrooms would have been a nice extra!) Comfortable bed. Pleased to get a parking space, even though it was an additional £20 for 24 hours.
Cons: Room looked a bit tired, especially the bathroom, knocks to paintwork etc. Toilet wouldn’t flush properly. Reported to reception and maintenance man came quickly but couldn’t do anything to improve it. Bedroom better, comfortable but bed base would have benefited from a balance sheet as it looked a bit stained.

Pros: Staff were friendly and always acknowledged you. Rooms were a decent size with 2 good chairs in the double room.
Cons: First room we were put in had a leak in the roof. Second room the bed had a dip in the middle so we were rolling into the middle of the bed so did not sleep well.

Pros:
Cons: Had to make a compaint on second night about excessive noise starting at 5am in the room above. When we spoke to reception in the morning he said if we had phoned earlier that he would have moved us. We were not the problem so it wasn't up us to move that time in the morning he should have moved or kicked them out.as we paid such a lot for our room it was totally unexceptionable for the quality of sleep was nill.the receptionist said that we would be due a refund but have to go thru you apparently

Pros:
Cons: Fantastic value for money, room.was clean, comfortable and quiet for.location. the only thing we missed was not having a kettle to make a cuppa in the morning, had to get dressed and go down in the lift and then back up trying to figure out how to use the key card to work the lift and hold two hot drinks! Definitely stay there again just take a kettle!
