It is a clean, and quiet hotel with comfortable beds. The cost is very reasonable. It is also close to other activities. Parking was limited on a Saturday night, and there are limited channels to watch. Also the heater/AC made a lot of noise.
Room was pleasantly furnished. Motel manager was very kind and extremely accommodating.
Internet connection was shaky
Clean room with WiFi. Reasonable access to the freeway. Just down the road from the amazing Michele Bakery. Some of the guests were loud, which is probably par for the course in this area.
The space was great very secluded and private great for honeymooners like my husband and I was I didn't like how I was being questioned about getting extra towels for my room I was very unhappy about it as if we had a limit on get towels
This hotel was located close to a conference center for an event we were attending. It was very clean and the staff were helpful. The rooms had a refrigerator and microwave. I wish it had had a pool for the kids.
Our room was clean and quiet. The interior of the motel has been updated, so the room felt more upscale than the motel's exterior appearance. All the folks we met who work there were very friendly and helpful. This place exceeded our expectations. Thanks
Beds are somewhat comfy, rooms are big and have a flat screen tv Internet unreliable. Shady people gathered outside my room at 4am being loud. Shower raised up and hard to get in/out. Water pressure bad.
Staff were super helpful! Everyone took the time to help us with our needs and gave us tips on places to visit, best modes of transportation, and events happening. The free 24 hr shuttle to and from the airport gave us easy access to anywhere we needed to go in the city and saved us money and time! Will definitely stay again! Pool/spa area was small and crowded. Breakfast was also crowded and made for long lines and wait.
Free air shuttle bus (time is also flexible) Staff are very kind and friendly non
I'll like to compliment Cecilia (front desk), Lupe (room maintenance), and Jose (shuttle driver) for their excellent service provided to us. They made us feel good and comfortable. Thanks to all of you. We really appreciate it. The room was reserved as non-smoking but had a terrible cigarette odor. Perhaps management needs to work a little bit on improving that. A few employees need to work on their customer service attitude; Lety (front desk) and Saul (maintenance) for example. They seems to be mad and upset most of the time. We noticed a bit of rudeness when asked for things. Other than that we had no complaints.
Loved having an indoor pool and hot tub, especially after a long international flight. The room and bed were surprisingly much more comfortable an spacious than the pictures made it seem and we had many tv channels to browse through. Being so close to the airport an without alternative transportation, it was disappointing that there was hardly anywhere to eat within walking distance of the hotel. There was a good pizza place or delivery, but our options were very limited. Also, the water wasn't the best tasting (may just be we are not used to Chicago water) and there wasn't really a microwave we could use anywhere other than the breakfast nook, which was closed off to us. Also, not having the option of anything for breakfast because we had an early flight was annoying. They should be used to early risers and have some sort of cereal or bread and fruit that could be quickly grabbed and don't require any preparation by the hotel.
The shuttle was super easy to use. We could get right on the train to downtown and saved a lot of money this way. The shuttle driver Roberto was excellent In suggesting activities and areas to go to and areas to avoid. They were willing to work with us and the shuttle was always running. The front desk staff was also wonderful. The rooms were nothing fancy and breakfast was bad but for the money and for how nice the staff were and the location it more than made up for it.
Very friendly staff, comfy beds, breakfast was good. My sheets and towels had stains on them, the AC was so loud I couldn't sleep, the carpet in my room was pretty gross and it was coming up.
Cheap enough to entice. Close to the airport so you won't miss your flight. Friendly staff. Very far from the city but I guess you'd expect that from an airport hotel. Rooms just clean enough to be bearable. Even though the breakfast is included, do not count on it at all.
24 hour airport shuttle this was the reason I chose this hotel. Left on time and no complaints at all no complaints this is a airport hotel so you knew what you were getting
The location was good to the major interstates. It was good for the money I payed. I will stay there again. The pool was dirty, we found long hair in the bottom of the pool. The breakfast room was always crowded. Not many healthy options.
Loved the friendly and helpful staff. Free parking and free shuttle to airport were the whole reason I booked here, but the room was very nice and clean! Not enough outlets in room
The staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was quick and convienent. It was sn awesome value. The room was sort of dirty and the facilities were a little sparse. A change machine would have been nice.
The staff at the front desk was very friendly and efficient during check-in. The hotel is located at the intersection of busy roads- very loud throughout the entire night. Semis in the parking lot were constantly making noise. The room was not very clean- stain on the bed sheet, hair in the sink and shower, stains on the floor by the shower and on the wall by the sink. Pretty rundown overall. It was cold and you could not turn the temp higher than 65! Thin blanket and sheet on the uncomfortable bed. if you wanted to use wi-fi, you had to pay for it.
Staff was very helpful and attentive. Rooms were decent and good coffee in the morning. Stayed for an event in the area and the stay at Elk Grove was nice.
Nothing Everything, smelt terrible, neighbors kept me up all night. Bed was a brick I was hurting bad the next day, not free wifi, just gross I was afraid a cockroach was going to crawl on me any minute
It was cheap. It was a dump. The room SMELLED AWFUL like someone had used way too much air freshener to cover a worse smell, I had to air the room out. The floors were fake wood parquet that was old and peeling up in spots. there were no amenities at all other than two small bar soaps. No fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, NOTHING. fluorescent light in bathroom flickered for a full minute before it came on. I was so paranoid about bedbugs I did not let any of my clothes or bags touch the bed or floor. I unmade the bed and lifted the mattress up to look under it with a flashlight before i laid on it. When I was driving around I saw TWO other Motel 6's within a couple miles of this one, and they both looked a lot nicer. (I only saw the outside though) I ended up changing my flight home from a morning flight to the night before mainly so I would not have to spend a second night here.
The staff went out of their way to offer assistance since Chicago was a new experience for us.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, a plus. Plenty of parking.
Our room was newly renovated. Small but comfortable given the location and our purpose (staying overnight due to layover). Staff was very friendly. We couldn't get into the first room we were given and someone else had the same issue we did. It was resolved.
The free parking too much noise
staff was friendly and helpful with directions. the carpets were very dirty. the fan in the bathroom ceiling was falling out.
Convenient to the O'Hare Int'l Airport Exterior in very poor condition and the rooms were furnished with outdated fixtures and the carpet in bad condition. Need I say more. I have stayed with Motel 6 in the past and have found them to be acceptable. This one not so!
I have in many Motel 6 bit this one was a little pricey. I didn't like the service the guy in front desk gave me a smoking room without even asking and I had my child with me, so I had so come back to the front desk to change it because I guess they don't use common sense or follow the reservation details . They room was overall clean, but the bed still had hair from previous use I guess they are not wasted well, I went into two different rooms and they both were like this.
I liked the wood laminate flooring rather than carpet. The receptionist asked me smoking or non smoking. I said non smoking and still ended up getting a room that smells like smoke. There was hair and dirt all over the floor. For some reason I felt the urge to check under the bed and there was a condom under the bed.
The room Staff attitude
Can not really say. Yes there was stains on the cover's. There was no shampoo just a small bar of soap only. We paid xx. dollars and it was very noisy all night. You think you would have small bottles of shampoo or cream rinse. One little bar of soap.
it was cleaner and quieter than I expected for the price no, it's a good value
Staff was very courteous and friendly. Room was quite small, but sufficient.
Construction noise ridiculous, bang bang all day long. Sinks not function. Poor
As soon as you enter the hotel smells like cigarettes, a lot.
Location Early check out time - 11am! Horrible supplies in bathroom, Uncomfortable bed.
Price OK Bed fine Room clean but smelled a little funky Bath fine WiFi fine All about what one would expect from a 2 star motel No TV for three nights. The proprietor just blew it off when I reported the problem on the first evening. Never followed up. The hallway smelled terrible. A dog barked from 4:30 until 5:30 for two mornings. I left in disgust at 6am on my last day because I couldn't get back to sleep. I don't expect much when I book based on price but this place and treatment was pretty bad. I have learned to trust Super 8 but will not use then again.
The free high-speed internet is actually free and high speed. All you have to do for access is call the front desk and they give you the password. From my room I could also see five routers, so every room has a good connection. The guy who checked in before me came back in because he was given a room that was occupied. When you sign in at the front desk they take your name, photocopy your drivers license, and have you write down your car's licence plate so they know who you are, a fairly standard practice, but handwritten at the bottom they also have "No guests, No visitors" I'm in town to visit friends and hang out, and they want us to tell my friends "Hey you can't come over to my hotel before we do anything, you're not allowed to be here." So my friend parked across the street to avoid getting towed. The trip was planned earlier that day, and I didn't care where I stayed. Apparently I should have. One of the first things we noticed when we got in our room was a sticker on the side of the television. It was a price sticker from Goodwill for $2.00. There was mouse poop in the side table where the bible is at. The bathroom was covered in hair and the drain for the shower was.... questionably functional, and missing a cover. The desk and TV stand are very old and half their handles have broken off. We're also not sure if there was a hidden camera on the front of the TV either, and spent about an hour trying to figure out if the little black bubble on the front of the TV was to receive the remote inputs for the cable box or if it was a tiny camera recording us. The room has very oddly placed power outlets. There's one behind the bed, one on the floor by the AC//Heating unit, and two in the far corner by the sink. I tried to plug my computer into one of the corner outlets and it blew the fuse. There weren't very many other people staying here, even for a Friday. Which is very fortunate considering how loud it is when someone else flushes their toilet. It doesn't seem to matter what room the other person is in, the sound just comes through and fills the whole room with overpowering noise. And despite how hard the water struggles to get through the pipes, the toilets still don't flush that well. The only thing I brought up when I was checking out was the mouse poop in the side table. The guy at the counter wasn't shocked, didn't care and all he said was "Okay." Nothing about getting it taken care of, nothing about them being so sorry that our room had rodent faeces in it. Nothing. The whole experience made me feel uneasy, especially the fact that our room may well have been bugged. I've been checking my account since I left just in case they try to charge me extra for something. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to claim that I damaged something so they can charge my card again. I would have checked my balance to make sure they didn't already charge me more while I was there, but based on how sleazy the whole place felt to me at that point I wasn't sure they weren't giving the free Wifi so they can monitor web traffic. TL-DR: You're probably being watched, mouse poop, no friends allowed.over, bad utilities, broken furniture, might have roommates.
Noting No shampoo or lotion, soap as the size of small Hershey chocolate piece, no power outlets at desk.
The Cleanliness, area of the hotel, comfortable bed and the Updated Room. Nothing.
Very clean. Problem to open the door with the key and the hall smelled like a smoking area.
The beds were actually comfortable. Liked the fact you had a flat screen. I didn't like how the WiFi was down. And should have a vending with milk & juice.
Friendly I had booked 2 rooms thinking they would be either together or close to eachother but ended up on separate floors and opposite sides of building. Did not like that.
It was a convenient location and had a great accessible bathroom. Nice handicapped parking right in front of room. Staff was friendly. Heater worked quick but sound like a jet engine each time it kicked on and that's not an exaggeration! Bed was unbelievably small for a queen. No coffee available due to construction. Towels very harsh and small. Spider crawled under the door gap.
The friendly front desk staff. EVERYTHING! It started as I was walking up three flights of stairs. I wanted to use the hand rail. I put my hand on the rail and it was so sticky and nasty that I quickly pulled back my hand. I finally got to the room and had to kill a ton of spiders
nothing about this hotel. The receptionist was really un-professional, we were charged for Wi-Fi services, which I think is the worst thing ever, cause every business I visit offer free Wi-Fi service!
The restaurant beside the hotel. Everything. The bedding was dirty, the floor was dirty with hair and the room smelled of cigarette smoke.
Nothing it was devastating I hate it
Beds were comfy, location was great. clerk refused to give us a smoking room, even though there was availability. Said online reservation was set in stone, including room number. That was ludicrous!
Nothing Everything! Motel was dirty, holes in the carpet in our room, garbage outside everywhere! I will not be staying there again!
Very clean. It was convenient for where I needed to stop to get sleep before continuing my trip back home Room not carpeted. Very small. Pillows felt half full too soft. Could hear people in hallway talking on their phones at midnight and later. Could hear people walking around the unit above.
Ok for the price because Chicago area is expensive. Clean enough First room that we got had a strong smoke smell but they changed for us. Staff was not rude but not friendly. Bit far from downtown Chicago. No breakfast included.
price bedsheets dirty-had to change ourselves, non-smoking room had smoky odor and smoke entered bathroom from other rooms when fan was turned on, hotel walkways dirty, other guests smoking out on the walkways, no outdoor smoking area or ashtrays, carpet in room was in poor condition, tv picture was distorted, poor quality, and minimal channels available, bed mattresses sagged.
Close rooms Smells
