My husband and I went to Sandals La Toc for our honeymoon and were MORE than pleased with the hotel from start to finish. Our room had a private pool and had views to die for. Absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were clean and the turn down services every night made our honeymoon EXTRA special. The staff was amazing. We had two butlers, Shauna and Jenny, who were amazing. However, the friends we met there that didn't have butlers had an equally amazing experience with the staff. They were helpful, constantly asking if we needed anything and friendly. People have complained about the beach since Grande's beach is more calm, but it was only a little 'rough' for a few days out of the trip and the rest were calm like a lake. AND what people are calling rough is just a few waves which where we are from in Jersey...we LOVE! Staying at the top of the cliff is absolutely beautiful. You really get those sunsets and sunrises that you want on a trip. There is a shuttle that comes every 5 minutes to help you get up and down the hill. However, there is a private pool at the top of the cliff with a swim up bar as well. In general...amazing time. Don't listen to other peoples reviews about the little things that went wrong on their vacation. It's amazing.
One week ago I stayed at Sandals Regency la Toc in an ocean view room. Whilst the service and the food were excellent, the room was good but needs a bit of upgrading to the bathroom; it was very clean and comfortable but not pristine and new; I guess the hotel is old. The mixed alcoholic beverages tasted a bit watery not creamy as I exptected but overall it was good value for money. I would recommend Sandals any day, they really provide superior service.
My husband and I went to sandals la toc for our honeymoon. The resort is so beautiful and offered all kinds of free activities. We went sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, as well as took part in many of the events at the resort, it was amazing! I highly recommend sandals resorts, they really took care of us. Also the food was so delicious and we had many restaurants and lots of variety to chose from. There is truly something for everyone there!
The service was excellent, especially Trisha, Selma and Tim at the two restaurants. But, there were only 2 restaurants....the room was clean but not perfect. Yes, I am picky, but when you clean the floors, be sure to hit the corners!!
Beautiful setting, incredible accomodations and awesome staff made our honeymoon a magical memory. A bit of expansion and repair construction was offset by our VIP treatment and low key pace of the resort. Very knowledgeable concierge staff, friendly and attentive restaurant/bell/room service staff and relaxing spa staff made the whole island experience a memory of a lifetime. We hope to return for a winter retreat or jazz festival in May in the coming years.
Fantastic property. Very clean, bright and cheery and every staff member was exceedingly pleasant. We scored a package deal and got way more resort than we paid for. Nothing negative to say.
Had an amazing time. The view from the room was incredible. The staff was friendly and accomidating. The property is also fairly private when compared to other resorts in the area. Great for a relaxing vacation. Would definitely go back.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Landings. The staff was courteous and attentive, the food was excellent, and the rooms were like new, spacious and luxurious. We had an electrical difficulty in our initial room, but the staff promptly upgraded us to a waterfront room. the location on the northwestern (Caribbean side) coast of the island was good, because it was a beautiful locale, and a short ride from several nice restaurants. Overall, a terrific, if a bit pricey place to stay in St. Lucia.
My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. We reserved a marina view hotel room with a jacuzzi on the balcony, but when we arrived all of the rooms with jacuzzis were being used by owners. We were disappointed for about two seconds as we were shown to our upgraded, beachfront, 3 bedroom, 3 bath suite!!! Hello!! It was complete with washer and dryer, full kitchen, dining room, a balcony overlooking the pool to the back and a full length balcony (to die for!) directly over the beach, to the front. it was fabulous!! Great food! Great concierge. Great service. Gorgeous pristine beach. A few cons (if I MUST name some): Other half of Resort was under construction, but it did not bother us; Only one restaurant was open, but it was overlooking the beach so no complaints here; and the food was very pricey, but we found it to be pricey everywhere. Also, the pool was a bit small, but who needs a pool when you have the gorgeous ocean a few yards away! Overall- awesome place! Do not hesitate to stay here!!
Had a wonderful time staff was extra helpful and friendly food at the bar was very good and well presented. Room was very nice. Will definitely be coming back. Will recommend to friends and relatives. Only recommendation is bring repellant.
The Landings is the best place to stay if you are visting St. Lucia! Although it was still under construction, the parts that were complete were absolutely beautiful. The staff provides top notch service and is very accomodating. The condos are very clean and exquisitely decorated, with the finest appliances and amenities. The food was very tasty and well presented. The fitness center features top of the line Cybex equipment and has a wonderful view of the beach. I am certain that this resort will only get better when it is finished. Only one thing,... make sure to carry your bug repellant with you; I got bitten by chiggers while dining at out at the outdoor restaurant. Overall, the resort is fabulous!
Even though the property was still under construction we decided to give it a try. The place is absolutely beautiful. Every high end amenity that you could think of is included. They definately spared no expense. My husband has worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years and I spent at least 12 years in the industry myself. This place was absolutely worth every penny. The staff were exceptional and extremely professional. In all honesty I only had two complaints with the first being the food. Very expensive and definitely not of the same quality as the property itself. She need to get an Executive Chef on board that can get this aspect of the hotel together. Also the mosquitoes will eat you alive. The airlines lost our luggage and as such we had no protection for the first night. Not being aware of the problem we ate at the restaurant that night. My six year old son was so bitten up it was unbelievable. He looked as if he had chicken pox. Yes, that bad. They started fogging the property evenings toward the end of our stay but do not attempt to stay at this property without being adequately protected. We were absolutely miserable for the first few days after nearly being eaten alive. Otherwise, you have to try this place.
This was a beautiful property in a beautiful setting. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The lobby was breathtaking and this is your first impression. There was construction however I was notified of this before my visit. I had an 80 min. massage that was outstanding. Very relaxing getaway. Very quiet and private. The food was delicious and the setting for the meals was breathtaking right on the beach. The fitness center has top of the line equipment and very nicely managed with nice views and very clean. I stayed in a one bedroom condo. The interior was refreshing and had a nice layout and top quality furnishings. Loved the bathroom and the fact that I could do the laundry in the condo. We used the Miele appliances and made dinner in room one evening. I slept better than I had in months-comfortable bedding. I would highly recommend this property with the understaning that they are still under construction.
The resort is very nice, however, the all inclusive meals are less than average quality at all of the restaurants. There are three restaurants that service meals. Breakfast is a buffet and average. Lunches and dinners have the same menu every night at the three on site restaurants. The food preparation is below average. Actually rather boring and disappointing. This issue would prevent me from returning too Almond Morgan Bay.
Resort was great, under new ownership since December 2011 and was well maintained and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Literature states there was a dress code for dinner, but it is not enforced as everything was very casual
Most of the rooms are on the side of a steep hill. We had to climb 51 steps and several steep ramps to get to our room. They said they would take us to the room in a golf cart but we had to wait 15-20 minutes each time for the cart - everyone wants to use them. In addition the hotel is in the city. The hotel's neighbors had a dog that frequently barked early in the am or at night when trying to go to sleep. Room is an average hotel room - nothing to get excited about. The only good things I have to mention are the food and good natured employees. All were kind and most gave excellent service.
My husband and I went the week of April 9th to 16th, 2011. I think it was a bit off season as the resort was not that crowded and we were always able to a beach chair. We really enjoyed the Hotel, the staff is friendly and professional. It is all inclusive but it helps to tip, we tipped $5 a day for Maid Service and we also gave our Bartender a $1 per drink. We also tipped our wait staff at each mail, They are so appreciative and it is great to see the smile on their face. The food was very good especially the breakfast Buffet and Morgan's Seafood restuarant. We also loved the Burgers at the Buffet on the Beach. While it is kid friendly I never felt that the kids were loud or obnoxious. The evening Entertainment was also quite enjoyable, especially the band and the Almond Dancers. Went to Gros Islet Street Party on Friday Night after dinner, it was fun & festive, definitley take a Taxi and have them pick you up at a specific time. Two hours should be plenty.
My boyfriend and I went here in Aug. 2010, and we both had a great, relaxing time. We got a great deal, and stayed for 7 nights. The room was clean, the bed was commfy, and we had a wonderful view of the ocean / island. The food was decent, and I really liked that you had the lunch option of a sit down meal, as opposed to a buffet, which gets old and repetitive very quickly. My boyfriend ate fish almost every night and said it was all delicious (he still talks about some of the meals he had.) I am not such a big fish eater, so stuck to the meat, which was okay. Beach is small and chairs go quickly. There are several pools on the resort, but we found ourselves at the adult only salt water pool up above, which was generally a bit quieter than all the others. They have some nightly entertainment - not a ton compared to other resorts I've been to at other islands - but was a moot issue for us, as we were often in bed before we had time to enjoy it. (Sun and sand and fresh air = very tired) We took Captain Joy's boat tour, which was as good as everyone said it was, but that was our only trip off the resort. The island is beautiful, the people are pleasant, and we had a great time.
Great resort , As repeat guests, my husband and me were welcomed with an amazing bouquet of flowers, a bottle of local dark rum and a bottle red wine in our room. It had been our third visit to this lovely resort. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They always made sure our vacation was enjoyable. We have eaten at each restaurant on the resort, my husband likes the Plum Tree restaurant for his aftrenoon snacks. I like the Morgan Pier restaurant for its seafood menu. Breakfast at this resort is something to look forward to; there is a wide variety of Caribbean food together with American and Continental. Tea and coffee are available all day! Lots of activities to do on resort and carefully planned tours with Guest Services. This resort is located on one of the best beaches on the island. It is close to the capital city Castries and the George Charles Airport.
My wife and I just returned from a fabulous trip to St. Lucia. This was our eighth time in as many years and staying at Almond Morgan Bay for the third time was simply the best choice. The grounds are beautiful and so very well kept. Restaurants served up many delicious meals that I savoured and Im still talking about. You have your choice of pools and bars to experience serving premium brand drinks. My wife doesnt drink alcoholic beverages but was more than pleased with the delicious fruit drinks they prepared. We didnt watch much of the entertainment but others told us they enjoyed it very much. If you are interested in excursions you can book them through the office in the lobby. Food is not in short supply as there is a grill opened (with bar) throughout the day. Almond Morgan is relatively a large resort (340 rooms) with many choices of accommodations. Our room was second to none. It had an amazing view of both the capital city of Castries as well as a magnificent ocean view. One thing I demand while being away on vacation is a clean room and they delivered that with regular housekeeping. My wife and I have always enjoyed St. Lucia because of its beauty and of course the people. We were expecting to enjoy ourselves and the staff at Almond Morgan made a big difference by giving us no reason to complain. Almost everyone would greet you day and night with genuine smiles that made us feel welcomed. We would like to thank Mr. ABC for his splendid job of operating this resort, the way it
My husband and I just returned fron a week vacation at the saint james club celebrating our 46 anniversarity . We had a great time . I must admit when we first saw our beach front room we were not impressed . The building block 600 looked old and the furniture was not impressive . But once we settled down from there we had a great time . Thanks for all the prior reviews and feedback prior to our trips. The food was plenty but not upscale . The restaurants were all in good shape and try Le Jordan it was worth the extra charge . Book your restaurant reservation early 3days in advance to get in . Our preferred was the MogGan pier . Take the catamaran excursion book from the hotel not the one offered on the beach from joys big difference. If you need transportation from the airport the saint Lucia shuttle is the best . If you want to experience truly blue Carribean water try Rodney bay the water was great. In total the value for this vacation was incredibly cheep compared to other vacations we took . Go for it
I just returned from a somewhat good vacation in St Lucia – staying at St James Club Morgan Bay. Highlights/lowlights below: 1) The towel service had inconsistent hours and at one point during the lunch hours ran out of towels completely. Never happened to me before at a resort … 2) The rooms are in dire need of a refresh/update. 3) Although the staff were the best part of the resort (in my opinion), we had two fairly significant bad experiences with a) a woman named Vanilla who worked in the after-hours lounge area and b) the older assistant in the shop. Both need a lesson in dealing with customers – firing would be kinder (again in my opinion). 4) When I told the resort that I wanted a card for someone in charge to discuss one of the bad experiences I had, no one asked what, how, why, etc. … very strange. 5) Whenever we tried to make reservations at one of the special restaurants, the location of where to make those reservations changed and/or the choices had inconsistent dates/hours (or were closed). Overall I would recommend this resort for the value, but I am not quite sure I would return. Still considering …
The food was horrible. The drinks were subpar. The pools were filthy and green. We went without towels for 2 days and had to reuse dirty towels for an additional day. While the general hotel staff was nice to us the front desk personnel were extremely rude. In all reconsider your selection of this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.
Our stay at Almond Morgan was great and I would definitely recommend this place to others. The staff at the resort were extremely friendly and helpful. They were personable and always willing to assist in any way possible. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious. There were activities at the resort each night if you want to stay on the premise, otherwise you could head into town in a quick and reasonable cab ride. The activities desk could arrange any excurssions for you, hassle free. The only negative about this resort, would be that there were a couple of locals that hang out on the beach, who could be very annoying. However, the staff informed us that if the locals bothered us at all, to let them know and they would take care of it. They weren't too annoying if you stayed away from that tiny section of the beach or ignored them, but they would try to get you to buy some items or purchase an all day excurrsion. There were plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and three pools to choose from. One pool for adults only, if you didn't want to be around the kids. There were plenty of lounge chairs available on the beach as well. Overall it was a great experience and I would certainly go back again and recommend it to others!
My husband and I were in need of a 'get away' and Almond Morgan Bay provided everything we needed for a fun and relaxing vacation. The staff was friendly. The food was wonderful and plentiful. I especially loved the beach front bar-b-ques. Our room was just steps to the water. The room offered privacy and tranquility. We loved the entire 7 days we spent at Almond Morgan Bay!
The restaurant and view Very little action
Honeymoon trip: We were overwhelmed with the beauty of Cap Maison, the attentiveness of the staff, excellent meals, clean beaches and immaculate grounds. We were surprised with an upgrade to a rooftop pool and enjoyed it every single day. We had the all inclusive plan and highly recommend it and well worth the cost. The meals were fantastic, tapas style, and very unique. The resort is very private, quite and peaceful. I read all the reviews on this site and researched Cap Maison, but it was better than I imagined. The staff was very attentive and went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. The manager met us on arrival and we were treated so well from the very second we stepped into the Cap Maison grounds. We highly recommend Cap Maison and hope to return on anniversary trip.
We were at Cap Maison for a wedding, which was amazing. Although very loud music was coming from a suite near the ceremony and was disruptive. Someone was looking for where it was coming AFTER the ceremony began. The view, of course, is breathtaking! The accomodations were more than we imagined they would be, spacious, clean, private and quite luxurious. The food was good, the staff was almost invisible, but very helpful and friendly if you needed anything. We did ask if breakfast was included and were told that they would get back to us, which they didn't, so we did not go for breakfast. We actually shopped and cooked breakfast in our suite and ate on our patio which was very enjoyable also. They said they would offer a complimentary massage for us for this miscommunication, but 'couldn't find us' on our last day. However, no message on phone, or note under the door was left for us and we pretty much spent the day at the beach and pool. So how sincere that was, I am not sure. Overall, excellent place.
Our visit was extra ordinary. The design of the buildings and rooms was very comfortable and exotic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional. And the location on a bluff over looking the Carribean Sea was magical. Our daughter's wedding was held here as well, and the ceremony, dinner, and reception were were as good as it gets. This resort visit was wonderful and very enjoyable.
A very desirable location and ambiance. The staff was very nice and friendly. There was a pleasant breeze most of the time and lovely flora fauna and rainforest throughout the property. Lovely beach and 'toys' to kayak, snorkel, and hobi cat included for guest use. Excellent Snorkeling. The only disappointment was the construction noise at the beach that went on into the evening (past dark) and no live music. This will become ''The Tides at Sugar Beach'' in the future, since it is currently under renovation. This was the location of a sugar plantation, so has history and artifacts, with a 'colonial' flare. We rented a four wheel automatic drive Jeep from Drive a Matic (excellent service and vehicles, ask for (X) to get around. Soufrierre is about a 10 minute drive. To the southern airport (UVF) is about one hour. Because of the construction noise and the reports we read about the dining at this facility we didn't eat here, although we were here 11 days. We were in Sugar Mill 1 which was really comfortable and convenient, although a bit too close to the roaring vent fans that ran occassionally for the kitchen across the drive way. Shuttles on property were very dependable. Dining at any of the resort hotels is pretty outrageous pricing, I am sorry to say. Do not order any seafoof bisque at any of them. It is no more than tomato broth...no seafood content, and will cost you between $7 and $10 US.. Mango Tree is worth dining because of the setting and view and sunset. Good food. Fedo's in Soufrierre was our favorite lunch stop. Fried fish of the day meal for about $7.00 US. Stay away from Tree Top Zip Line Tours. Very bad attitudes and process. Scarey.
Just got back from 7 night trip to Jalousie. Warning to anyone who wants to go for a romantic vavation - lots and lots of kids there - no kids swimming pool - can get a little noisy - I booked an ocean view villa - ocean vew just about okay - lots of trees around the villas hide a perfect view - also fair warning that most villas are in fact duplexes - you have your own plunge pool but the terrace around it faces the door (which is locked and has privacy glass)of your neighbors - Whilst outside at your villa your neighbors can hear everything, and their plunge pool is only steps away. we had a family with kids staying next door and in the early morning they would play in the pool, so not much privacy or late night swimming or hanging around your deck, unless you want to disturb your neighbors. Staff was excellent, food excellent, bought the all inclusive package, no night entertainment, was mostly in bed by 10 pm. Some snorkeling on site, canoes, very little other water sports there. Cannot use pool after 6 pm and beaches are not lit at night. Shuttle service works well. Lots of hills so be ready to climb up and down. Often walked from villa to beach and restaurants but it takes 10 - 15 min. Went in July so waether was very hot. I would go back, but i would make sure i had a single villa, which are a few there and i wouldn't go whilst children are on vacation. Location is best on island, but not highly romantic. Once at jalousie, you have to take taxi in to neighboring souferie, but dont expect a lot of shops or restaurants.
Location, staff and amenities were perfect. Second time we have been there and our anniversary trip was just perfect.
We were ''bumped'' from our honeymoon plans (hurricane problems)to this lovely spot. A welcomed accident. A six foot (stunning) woman draped in white greeted us at the door to the plantation room restaurant with ''what would you love?''. Our ten days here will be hard to top. Go there and enjoy!
We went for our honeymoon and found this hotel to be very relaxing and enjoyable. The beach is definately the highlight of this resort. There is not much choice in entertainment and the show at Cafe Bang was ridiculous. The room was clean and we enjoyed using our outdoor patio but hardly used our plunge pool. The food was especially good at The Pier and the Plantation Room. We usually had lunch on the beach and often ordered room service for breakfast Next time around we'll probably invest in the all-inclusive meal plan. Dinner alone was an average of $100 a night.
My pedal boat ride was 90 USD. My resort fee NOT INCLUDED with all-inclusive option was 300 USD for 5 nights. Be prepared! Otherwise, great place!
My wife and I stayed at The Jalousie Plantation from May 21st-26th. It was our first trip to St. Lucia. We couldn't have picked a more romantic setting. The resort is situated on a small bay between the Pitons. Petite Piton rises up steeply just off the beach -- it's incredible. Not only is this the most scenic area of the island, but it's also close to many of the major attractions, such as Diamond Falls and Sulphur Springs. Castries is roughly 40 minutes away via water taxi. We stayed in an oceanview villa. The villas themselves were outdated but still clean and comfortable. Some villas are individual cottages; others consist of two joined units, though each still has a private patio with a plunge pool. If you're looking for fancy accomodations you'll be disappointed here, but the villas were perfectly acceptable and, frankly, a bit of an afterthought considering all the natural scenery. There were only two restaurants open on the resort: casual dining at The Bayside and fine dining at The Great Room. We bought an all-inclusive package, a good choice given the high prices at each. The food was good at both, but the dining experience at The Great Room was exceptional. The entire staff was very kind and helpful. For whatever we needed, they provided a prompt response. I would definitely recommend this hotel. At the airport, just about everyone we spoke with was headed to one of the three Sandals resorts on the island. I'm sure Sandals had great accomodations, but they simply can't compete with The Jalousie Plantation's location in the iconic Valley of the Pitons.
The Jalousie Plantation sits between the two Pitons of St. Lucia and provids a very quite and intimate setting surrounded by incredible beauty. Beware of menu prices a hot dog was $14 and a luch buffet was $45 per person. Going into town to buy food for breakfast and luch for a week will cost you about $65, or go with the All Inclusive and get the sticker shock out of the way. Rooms were clean with great views and the staff was fantastic. '
Reading on the beach in summer is traditional. But on this beach the view is so fantastic that you have to put your book down and just stare. The Petit Piton rises directly out of the water to 2400 feet straight up. Great snorkeling off the beach. Loads of great fish. The resort setting is quite vertical; you use the resort transport to get around. Main restaurant is exquisite- not much more than the average in-town price, well worth it.
we were there for our 50th and the place was as special as we had hoped, 80+ villas, 5 restaurants, taxi drivers were great and not expensive, native food great, ALL PEOPLE on St Lucia are very friendly
My husband and I chose Ti Kaye for our 25th anniversary celebration. We were very pleased! Absolutely loved it! We loved the remote area with lots of peacefulness surrounded by the country's beauty! We wished we would have found it before now and enjoyed it when we were younger. Although, I believe we appreciated it more now. The staff was great and did a wonderful job welcoming us and tending to our every need. We will highly recommend it to our friends and family!
Across the board- Ti Kaye was incredible. It truly is a slice of paradise. We visited St. Lucia and Ti Kaye for a little over a week for our honeymoon. Every aspect of our trip met and exceeded our high expectations. There are so many different things to rave about- the friendly and personable staff, the breathtaking view from your personal balcony overlooking the ocean, the crystal clear water for snorkeling and kayaking, and the fresh seafood. For our honeymoon, we were looking for a place that would provide us with an oasis of calmness, while still providing us with an 'authentic' St. Lucian experience. We wanted to feel like we actually experienced the island and weren't just 'tucked away' at a resort. Ti Kaye's staff (the drivers, wait staff, and the Island Divers crew) were all so wonderful at exposing us to St. Lucian cuisine, beautiful vistas, and cultural experiences. Without being too redundant- I'll note a few really noteworthy things that made our stay extra special. - The Sights and Sounds: the entire resort overlooks a beautiful beach/bay area is nestled in a vibrant jungle setting. We were surprised (and excited) to find salamanders walking across our balcony, birds landing onto our hammock (this was a little scary at first), and seeing frogs, hermit craps, and other little creatures throughout our visit. It was never to the point where it felt like too much. In the morning, we awoke to the sounds of birds and fisherman working in the bay. During the day, there were some boats that would dock in the harbor, usually playing Caribbean party music. It looked and sounded like a honeymoon should feel. - The Other Couples: We shared the resort with some of the most genuine and sweet couples. On excursions, we laughed together, had good conversation, and also respected each others' privacy. It felt like the perfect balance of friendliness/friendship balances with the quiet seclusion one hopes for when you are on your honeymoon. - Exciting Trips/Special ...
This small resort has 33 cottages that overlook the Caribbean sea. Nice beach, great restaurants and wonderful staff. Great place to relax. Beach is nice but used heavily by cruise ship excursions. We loved TI Kaye and will be back. For your divers, there is a dive shop on site which has great service.
Had a wonderful time at this secluded escape from the world. The pictures of the hotel are not altered, it really does look like the photos! The food and service were excellent. The beach was beautiful and quiet. If you're looking to avoid the usual American hotel experience and want to try something a bit different, and somewhat exotic, I recommend it.
We just came back from our honeymoon at Ti Kaye and it was a wonderful experience. We were looking for an anti-Sandals resort and were very pleased with Ti Kaye. From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly and being that the resort is relatively small they had no problem remembering who we were at what room we were staying in. The 160+ stairs to the beach took some getting used to but it was worth it not to have to go on an excursion to get some good quality snorkeling in. All the food was delicious from the 5 course seafood dinner we had the night we arrived to the homemade chips we had with lunch. The only negative I would point out is that the service at dinner was a little slow. I don't know if its because we went during rainy season or it's just the way St. Lucia's lifestyle is but a few nights we seemed to wait forever to get our wine and food. But, since we were on our honeymoon and in no rush it wasn't unbearable. I would definitely recommend this resort if you are looking for a resort to experience the Caribbean and not just to party with 1000 other newlyweds.
my husband and i honeymooned here and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about TI Kaye, the location, the staff, the island. if you are able to go to St Lucia - stay NO WHERE ELSE. It is off the beaten path, has amazing views, the beach is a destination for other travelers, the food is wonderful, every staff member new us by name at check in....simply bliss.
Ti Kaye was perfect! It's a smaller, more remote resort with a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. They make sure to provide plenty of activities and tours to keep you as busy as you want or you can choose to relax by the pool or beach. The wine tasting was so fun and Cleus is amazingly knowledgeable. The rooms are beautiful with an outdoor shower and large porch. It was just what we were looking for!
Ti Kaye Village was the most friendly, welcoming resort I've ever experienced. The cottages were lovely, the staff were exceptional, the food was wonderful, and the location couldn't be beat. Very secluded, quiet, yet had exactly what one would wish for: wonderful snorkeling, kayaks at the beach for discovering the coastline, beautiful spa, wine tasting, etc...etc...
I stayed at Ti Kaye Village for 8 wonderful days during my honeymoon in St. Lucia. This resort does have a small village feel with only 33 cottages that make you feel one with nature. If you are looking for a true romantic escape away from the busy life you normally lead, stay at Ti Kaye...you can totally disconnect as the rooms do not have TVs, but they do have modern conveniences like radios (I recommend the channel Maxxi Hot Tempo from nearby Martinique) and coffee makers, mini fridges, irons, etc...the rooms even come with converter plugs so you don't have to worry about buying one. The staff is very professional and courteous...you get more of a personalized experience here as they soon learn your name and greet you by name when they see you at meal times. Katie the General Manager does a great job and I remember Kim, Gus, Terry, Oswald, and Stella were great hostesses and hosts. We loved our cottage with a private plunge pool. We stayed in 'Nich' which overlooked the water and provided lovely views for the daily sunrises and sunsets. 'Nich' means 'nest.' Our front porch with a hammock and rocking chairs was perfect for relaxing on lazy days. We could hear birds and frogs...but not to an annoying level...it was lovely. Lizards joined us daily in the outdoor shower which is a very fun experience! The food is great...portions are big and you defintely get full at meals...be aware that meals are only served during specific hours so if you miss meal time, you better have a back-up plan. Keep in mind, you are in a very remote spot, so taxis to nearby Castries or Soufriere will run you about $35 USD per person round trip...and the drive is about 40 - 60 minutes. During our stay, there were many French and British guests as well as Americans, so it is culturally diverse. It was nice to hear foreign languages being spoken around the resort. The beach for the resort is a very nice one...every day the boats from Sandals and other companies came to Ti Kaye to snorkel...
The staff made a point to know your name which I really liked. We stayed in a cabin which offered gorgeous views and had great space. The deck with hammock and rocking chairs made for good mornings. On-site restaurants were excellent and a nice selection of wine was available too. The beach and snorkeling on-site were fantastic. Get out there early before the cruise ships bring people in and the whole cove can be yours. Rent a car, so you can explore the whole island too. Great sights both North and South of Ti Kaye. We had a wonderful stay.
