The bed was a joke. Don't even bother unless you don't feel like sleeping.
comfy beds right in the center of downtown! Small hiccup during check-in, but they bought us breakfast without any prompting. First class service!
Would have been nice to know that parking would be $25 for being there less than 12 hours! I also didn't realize the otel price listing on Kayak was before taxes - why not include that? Knowing both of these would likely have changed my decision.
Don't judge a book by its cover
I didn't like anything about this hotel , staff was nasty hotel smelt like a cheap strip club upon entry. Parking was $23 a day and didn't find that out until I was down there. No street level entrance which is really fun on Friday night , oh and after I finally get on the elevator and get on to my floor there was someone formicatong right when I walked out.
Fun place to stay downtown
Charlotte is a fun city. The staff were all awesome and super friendly.
I love aloft hotels. I love the location!! Perfect area!!
It was not as clean as other aloft I stayed at.
Modern yet comfortable
I loved the amenities, pool table, indoor pool, the view. We took 2 teens ( 17 yr) olds and Aloft was upbeat and fun and the staff was accommodating! We just loved it. Beds comfortable, rooms clean!
Parking was a little weird. We ended up valeting for $20 a day and then of course the gratuity every time we used the car. It was just an expense of the trip. I think it's a Charlotte thing, not an Aloft thing.
Not for extended stay
Location
They do not have an ice machine (bags available in the lobby), limited amenities, ac did not work properly, elevator takes forever
Mediocre
Great location
Kind of felt like a hipster hostile, not very clean, mediocre at best
Mixed Feelings about Aloft
If you don't know anything about Charlotte, you'll probably get lost trying to find parking and understanding the elevators. I tried to check in at 1p but no rooms were clean, so I had to roam around for over an hour in the heat. They said they would call when a room was clean, never got it. At 230p I went back and they said they had a room. The basic room is kinda small, nowhere to put your clothes as in a dresser. Location is at the EpiCentre which is in walking distance to all the bars, restaurants, etc. Wish the pool was on the rooftop. I would stay afain, but in a bigger room. Oh yea, found trash in the bed too uggghh!!
Parking
Great place to stay when your out for the night
Top notch hotel
Aloft gives you a luxury hotel feel without a stuffy feeling. Polite staff, nice rooms, complimentary wifi all round out for a nice stay.
No signage on the exterior of the building to notate where the hotel is located. Aloft is actually on the fifth floor of EpiCenter (a dining/shipping/club district) so unless you researched that (I only grabbed the address and put it in GPS) you will be driving around in circles trying to locate it. Parking is also not clearly noted, nor is the valet option.
The Aloft Charlotte Uptown at the EpiCentre says it all with its name. Located in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, the boutique hotel is in the heart of the city’s entertainment and nightlife district. The EpiCentre is the spot for dining, nightlife, shopping, major events, and so much more, and this property is a part of it. However, it is also part of the city’s Fourth Ward area and places visitors steps from such sites as the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Bank of America Stadium, Time Warner Cable Arena, the Bank of America Headquarters, and other equally popular destinations. It is also only eight short miles to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Well-suited to both business and leisure travelers, the hotel includes such amenities as the re:charge(SM) gym, the re:mix(SM) Lounge with its communal seating that makes networking and mingling a delight, and re:fuel by Aloft(SM), a self-service gourmet snack shop offering everything from gourmet coffees to delicious treats. The property is also pet-friendly and has free parking and business services along with a meeting or event space available. There are options for room service, valet dry cleaning, laundry on the premises and a car rental desk, too.
The rooms all feature large, private baths, premium bedding and linens, phones with voice mail, mini-fridges, hot beverage centers, bottled water supplies, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and premium entertainment systems.
When you want a luxurious, boutique hotel in the heart of Charlotte’s premier entertainment, shopping and dining area, the Aloft Charlotte Uptown at the EpiCentre is a perfect choice.
