Pros:
The car was very comfortable and handled very nicely in the bad weather. The salesman was very helpful and the price was a lot less than renting at the airport. The car was ready and picking it up was fast. No hard selling for extra insurance.Cons:
The driver side rear tire had a leak and I had to fill the tire several times over the course of the 3 days. I called the Enterprise service to get the tire repaired but they were unable to help me due to my location in the state.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
We loved the Kia Sportage we rented for a week. The 4-wheel drive was great in the mountains, even when it snowed. It was clean and very comfortable to drive in.Cons:
When we picked up the car the gas tank was only 3/4 full. It wasn't a big deal but obviously something they missed. Another thing that they missed was the windows. The inside of the windshield had a residue of some sort that made it somewhat difficult to see clearly. It wasn't something we noticed before leaving the lot so we had to stop to clean it off.6.0 Okay

Pros:
Person who checked us in was nice and friendly. He was quite busy. When I went back after we started the car up and saw the tank wasn't full, he said he would made a note of it. That didn't happen. He said to fill to where we started, but in Oregon we can't pump our own gas, it would have been too difficult to try and fill it to a little below 3/4, plus I wasn't totally confident that it would be noted in my file so I went ahead and just filled the tank.Cons:
The gas tank wasn't full (below 3/4). It was suppose to be full and we returned it full. Seats had stains. Car wasn't really cleaned... when we cleaned it out we found some trash under the passenger seat.3.6 Poor

Cons:
I specifically reserved a minivan and when I got there, all they had was a Ford Flex. It does have 7 seats but not nearly as much storage as a minivan. I ended up having to tie luggage to the top of the car. It was a huge pain.9.6 Wonderful

Pros:
I was only charged for 1 day, which was correct.Cons:
That they didn't default to charging me for 2 days. It was inconvenient to have to go in and get the paperwork updated. Would have rather they did it right in the first place and we could have just dropped off the keys.2 locations in Coeur d'Alene

Pros:
Office staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent car. Reasonable price.Cons:
Would be nice if I could drop off at KCOE airport with a reasonable relocation fee. I normally rent Hertz, which is located at Resort Aviation - but had to use Thrifty because no Hertz cars available at airport. This entailed paying for cab rides to and from the airport to pickup and drop-off our car - kind of expensive - but less expensive than the relocation fee Thrifty quoted. Just would be move convenient, since I fly into KCOE often - besides the extra cost, I have to load, unload, reload our luggage.9.2 Wonderful

Pros:
Staff was friendly and pick-up/drop-off was easy.Cons:
I don't think a Subaru Outback is comparable to an Intermediate SUV that I ordered, but they didn't have anything larger. They charge almost $13 per day for an extra driver.10.0 Wonderful

Apr 2017
Pros:
The pickup/dropoff process was quick and the car was ready when we arrived. The car itself was nice & clean.Cons:
The car we got wasn't the class we requested. The person at the pickup counter was a way over the top in his attempt to get me to buy their insurance. Trying to tell someone who has worked in insurance for 20+ years about how insurance works was laughable and insulting. I know they are under pressure to up-sell that garbage, but it was too much. He went on and on about how I'd be out so much money for "every single second we didn't have the car while it was in the shop." Insulting and frustrating, just stop it with the upselling on the insurance, or focus on 20 year olds who don't know any better. The final price I paid was nowhere near what I was quoted online and at the counter, so I will have to spend time figuring out where they got the extra $100. The drop-off staff member looked over every inch of the car in an apparent attempt to find any kind of ding or dent to blame on me. Again, insulting and infuriating.7.2 Good

Jan 2017
Cons:
It was recommended to me that I upgrade my rental to a mid size car as Spokane was experiencing bad weather. While it was a good idea to upgrade the car I was given was not only known to be terrible in the snow (according to one of their own employees out in the lot) but the tires on the car were trash. I am from a state that receives regular snow fall and I am used to driving a regular front wheel drive vehicle in bad weather. The issue here was the tread on the tire was minimal. After a week of slip sliding around on flat roads and being the only car to do so I called Dollar with my frustrations and was told that the car and tires were fine and it had been inspected. Sidenote the car needed an oil change and had less then 8 percent oil life left on it at pick up. I returned the car and went with Enterprise. Still got a regular front wheel drive car and still drove on the same roads of snowy Spokane but no sliding because the tires actually had decent tread. Never again will I rent from Dollar.10.0 Wonderful

Oct 2016
Pros:
When I got there is was raining hard and very over cast. I checked out the car and drove to my son's house. When he got into the car he noticed a little dent above the window. I checked it out and then looked at the area above the drivers window. It had similar marks but not a dent. It appears that a renter put a car top carrier on top of the car. I took a photo and then called Dollar and told them about it. When I turned in the car, I had the manager look, a Mr. Chris Carter, at the area I had called in about. He looked up the car and said no damage had ever been reported. I said it looked like old damage but when I asked him to put that into the report, he said, " I don't want to lose my job." I am afraid they are going to try and stick me with the damage even though I took a photo and called in when my son found it. I could use your help in getting this resolved. Thanks. Dick Goodnight 509-879-5947 The claims manager is Ryan Woods 509-924-9111 The damage was difficult to see and had I done it I wouldn't have called them and shown it to them.7.6 Good
