worse rental car company
Pros: There is nothing I like about Dollar rent a car. They are horrible
Cons: I had made a reservation for a car and when I came to Dollar rent a Car they told me that they did not have any cars available for me. I asked them how that could be when I had a reservation and they could not answer my question. I then asked if they could upgrade the car, and they said that they would have to charge me for that, even though they did not have my car that I had made a reservation for. I told them that every other rental car company would accomodate the customer and provide an upgrade for free as they did not have the car, but they didn't care.
They told me it would be 20 minutes before I could get a car, and every time the 20 minutes were up, they said it would be another 20 minutes. I waited a total of at least 3 hours. During this time I asked to talk to a manager at least 5 times, and they said that he was not available. The attendant even gave me the manager's cell phone which I called, and he didn't answer.
They finally just gave me a car that someone just then returned after I waited for 3 hours, they did not clean the car, and they did not want to mark all the "dings" and scratches the car had on their paperwork. When I returned the car, they wanted to charge me extra as the time I took the car out was not modified to reflect that it was taken 3 hours after it was suppose to.
My advice is never go to Dollar. They have the worse customer service. They lie about their wait time and charge you more money then they should
