Cons: I was disappointed that no one was at the KIOSK to return my car. I had had a long trip and was suffering back pain and had to locate the Dollar Car Rental station inside the airport. Thankfully there was someone inside the airport to assist me w/a wheelchair so that I could navigate the long corridors to return my keys and to find my departure date.
Hours of operation would be good information to post on the KIOSK. Thank you for allowing me to mention this.

Pros: Vehicle was a good size. It handled well. Gas usage went well. Liked that the car was not black which would have made the hot day worse. Also like CD player that came with the car.

Pros: Car was great but thought i was getting a full size from the Kayak
Cons: The Kayak website is misleading. I put in a full size but got a special/generic. My fault because I did not closely check my reservation. Cost me an extra $40 to upgrade.

Cons: No car no rental.

3 day car rental in Tulsa
Pros: They gave me a free upgrade.
Cons: Airport car rental pickup is under construction for all car rental companies. Had to walk about 250 yards.

I won't use dollar rental again
Pros: The brakes were bad the car wasn't clean smelled like smoke. When doing a walk around I had to ask the lady to come of her brake to ask her questions.

Pros: Fare and vehicle options. All their people were very nice and helpful.

The Yaris experience
Pros: It turned on, drove, also had heat and air
Cons: No cruise control, I loved driving long hours with that! Also it's one of the smallest cars I've ever had the misfortune of driving. If you ever want to feeling of driving a clown car that is terrible in every way get this car. Not to mention they didn't give us a key fob for this "compact" car. All in all dollar did a fine job, but the car and the issues we had with it really made the driving part of our vacation quite miserable.

Specials can be misleading
Pros: Accepted an offer for a special which supposedly seats 5. Was given a Ford Focus which barely seats 4 and has limited luggage space.
Cons: Felt the car size was misleading. Since this was a one way rental, anything else was going to be a significant up charge
Cons: You don't accept debit cards...unless I have a return airline ticket, which makes no sense if I live locally (which I do) and am renting a car for a short trip.

Pros: Great service
Sep 12 2016
All great except drop off at St. Louis airport
Pros: Picking the car up was efficient and was quickly on my way. The rate was very good. I believe i was bumped up or else the cars were larger than i expected. In any event the Jeep i rented was clean and very comfortable.
Cons: I was disappointed the airport was the only location i could drop the car. Few if any other Alamo locations in the St. Louis area had after hours drop available. In addition, the signage around the airport directing a driver to the rental car drop location could be much improved. I missed a turn and almost gave up just before i found the Alamo location.
Sep 23 2016
Pros: Staff was helpful and available when we needed them!
Sep 23 2016
Was unable to rent.
Cons: It wasn't stated that a $200 drop fee would be required for a one way rental. We were unable to rent from anywhere and weren't able to make our trip. Please make sure to clearly state this to future renters.
Sep 27 2016
Pros: Friendliness of the associate
Cons: The lack of cleaninness of the vehicle. I felt like it had just been dropped of by a previous user right before we picked it up
Dec 29 2016
Pros: Not much at all. if I rent through Alamo again it'll be grudgingly. I can spend the extra $10 to rent hertz.
Cons: The overcharge for insurance was a little much. Felt like I was being personally victimized by the rental manager in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Feb 1 2017
Pros: Would prefer better rear visibility than this model offers. Headrest was uncomfortable.
Pros: Quick booking and easy pick up/drop off.
May 6 2017
rental was cancelled because i did not have a credit card though.
Cons: they changed from accepting debit cards to not accepting debit cards for in town renters.
May 9 2017
May 16 2017
Pros: The person handling the pick up and return was very courteous
Cons: Trying to pick the car and returning it was a hassle.
May 17 2017
Cons: I lost my driver license and could not rent from them. I was stuck in Tulsa.

Cons: It was no deal, I tried the wild card deal, with the hope of getting a nice car - NO. The car that was available was compact, yeah right I am 6' 3" weight 275. I asked if there was any deal for bigger car, and the (very unpleasant lady,) said no. Luckly this wasnt my first time renting a car, I had two other reservations for situations like this. Therefore, enterprise got my business.. Big mistake Thrifty - HUGH.
For anyone thinking about getting a good deal, not knowing what kind of car you are going to get, have a back up plan/reservation! :-)

Pros: Check in was quick and painless, and I had my receipt emailed to me in seconds after car was turned in.
Cons: We ended up with a Hybrid, which we would never want to do again. Fuel efficiency was great, but not worth the lack of power that we needed in the hilly Ozarks.
Pros: Pickup was closer to house than airport. Brand new 2017 Toyota Rav4 SUV was very comfortable and spacious. Car came equipted with lane departure warning.
Cons: Wish the navigation system was included . We had to provide our own Garmin.
May 23 2017
overall average but with complications
Pros: The car was clean. Drop off was nice and easy.
Cons: When I arrived, there was no one in the office at all. I got there about 20 minutes early, so I guess they were at lunch. There was a sign at the desk that said, "Call this number if we are not here." So I called the number and got a "this line is disconnected" message. The employees did arrive (in time for my appointment) and assisted me.
She was very nice, but I had to deal with the headache of trying to use my debit card. They apparently don't like taking debit cards, unless you are a member of AAA or an equivalent club. She had to call and get special permission.
She also wasn't sure how to process the rental because I paid for the rental in full online a week earlier. I'm not sure how those factors complicates things. I simply paid for the rental beforehand. How is that an issue? All of this caused me to have to sit there for 30 minutes and get bored on my phone as she attempted to make several calls (some of them no answer).
One last thing, and this isn't anybody fault at Hertz... but the Nissan Versa is just horrible, especially compared to other Japanese cars.
