This was during the summer so no need for 4WD, AWD was fine. The roads are tight in the National Parks so a crossover on the medium to smaller side is what I'd recommend and the Ford Edge was perfect for it.

It was helpful to prepay for gas because it was cheaper than station prices. It was also reassuring to have rental insurance. I used a third-party and didn’t need it but it was still good to have because driving in Yellowstone can be a little hairy. We booked a car in Poland, we traveled there 50 hours and when we arrived they didn't give the car to us. They said the reason is that we didn't have a credit card. Good that they informed us before haha. We were in a very bad position because of that.

Good except that I left my prescription sunglasses in the car and it’s was extremely difficult to contact someone about that issue. I tried to reach someone that exact same day and the next day with no luck. After many attempts I finally did reach someone. They still have not located them and I know exactly where I left them, in the rented vehicle. I’m hoping they will be found. No one would take my prescription sunglasses so they must be in the vehicle or in the lost and found.

It was as if the vehicle and price I booked thru kayak didn’t exist when I showed up to the enterprise desk in Bozeman . They didn’t have the vehicle I rsvp’d and I ended up paying double for the only thing they had. So what’s the point of the kayak reservation if the car and price don’t apply? The staff was nice, but i basically started over from scratch when I got there and had to pay double the quote on kayak .

Car was great, clean and full of gas and the Bozman facility was very convenient. The issue I had was at the counter with the estimated price I was given compared to what I was quoted on Kayak. It was literally triple the cost and it wasn't until I showed the attendant my Kayak quote that they adjusted the system to match the Kayak estimate. I asked why the huge discrepancy and was told that there was a glitch in the system because my reservation was more then 7 days and the system didn't calculate the remaining days correctly. This made me wonder what I would have been charged had I not questioned the attendant... Other than that, the rental was flawless.
