This was the worst rental car experience I have ever had. Just after we picked up the car, the tire pressure light came on. The Avis office was already closed so my husband put air in the tire. The next morning we had to be in another city before the office opened so I called the roadside assistance number. The prompts would never get me to the right place. Once we got to the next city the tire was flat so we aired it up again. Once driving down the road the check engine light came on. I called the support number again and was sent to an Italian office. They said they couldn’t help because the car came from Austria and the license plate wasn’t in their system even though we were in Italy and our drop off location was in Italy. I called back 4 more times and was sent to support numbers in Argentina, Mexico, the and the US. I spent hours on the phone with no one able to help. Even a supervisor in the US was unable to put me in contact with the correct office which is unbelievable. This company is in desperate need of training. We were in constant fear the tire would blow or be unable to drive us to our next destination. We had to stop multiple times a day to check the tire and add air. I have a 3 year old and I was so afraid I was putting his life at risk being in an unsafe car. The fact that no one could help me, all offices around us were closed, and wasting hours on the phone was a ridiculously awful experience. I let the drop off location know my experience and all he said to to was contact the customer support. Seeing how helpful they have been I know no one at the company will help.

Pros: My pickup and drop off where in different locations which is really appreciated since very few rental companies allow that. Other than that car was ok and had no technical issues. I also got a very detailed report right after the return which was really helpful. Cons: rental was expensive compared to previous rentals and pickup at Memmingen airport was a bit slow.
