Silver City Car Rentals

Cons: I had to pay for a car though I wasn't able to use it because my Mother died and I had to change my plans.

Cons: the pickup was awkward, when the car was brought to me the attendant was like there you go. didn't look at my receipt to make sure it was for me, didn't let me look the car over to assess the damages, if any, and didn't ask me if there were any questions, he just walked off. The first vehicle had issues with the rubber strip around the windshield. There was wind noise and then the strip came unattached and was flopping around while I was driving. Took it back and "lucky" there was a different vehicle there to swap out.

Cons: The Hertz office wasn't that easy to find - not enough signage outside of the hotel it was located in.

Cons: The company in a near by city who are all part of this rental had over booked the vehicles and didn't let customers know till 24 hrs before leaving for destination. What a scramble for rental place and customers. Many who came in were very upset with management. Felt sorry for small town rental place. They did everything they could for us. I would change management for better service .

Cons: The absence of increasingly basic features such as CRUISE CONTROL in a city such Las Cruces, NM without an airport where citizens rely on rental cars for medium distance trips (3-8 hours) within and outside the state should be CLEARLY INDICATED IN THE RENTAL WEBSITE WHEN CHOOSING A CAR. In order to get this feature SINCE IT IS ESSENTIAL TO ME I had to pay an additional 40% for which i had not anticipated. I wont go there anymore I expect and demand much more from car rental websites. The citizens are tired of being treated as an profitable objects.

Cons: Not certain about being reimbursed for gasoline. It worked out though.

Cons: I don't get the car that I was hoping to get instead I got charged the same price but I got lesswe car.
