We made a reservation with Enterprise car rental for a van. Then called 2 weeks before the pickup date and confirmed the reservation. When we arrived on the pick up date, we were told that there were no available vehicles. There was no warning, no help. The manager even lied to us trying to cover up for not calling us. I obviously would have been dissappointed finding out that they had no vehicles, but I find it inexcusable and in very poor taste for a business to not let their customers know that there is a problem. They didn't leave us any time to find an alternative to drive to our son's wedding.

Liked the pickup and drop-off attendants. The van I received was not what I reserved. It didn't have the luggage room stated and I had to take an additional vehicle on our trip to make up for it. The windshield wipers were also completely worn out and unusable. The cup holder in the rear was also broken out.

Pros:

Nice, new car. Quick service downtown.

Cons:

The Spokane airport location wouldn’t rent me a car and I had to Uber downtown to pick up. They gave me a car with Canadian plates and a metric speedometer, so it was difficult to judge speed. Rental was very expensive and they nickel and dime you for insurance coverage. Even the basic, minimal plan is a gouge.

I really like Avis. Regular renter. Spokane office was kind to call me in advance of my rental and to accept my request for a Prius. Upon pickup, car had only been returned by prior renter a short period prior to my arrival. We waited 30 minutes and car was still not ready. We HAD to go, so I agreed to accept car dirty. Prior renters had had several scraps along car sides, left car filthy and seats water stained and interior windows filthy. I worried about drop off. I was just glad to get a Prius. Drop off in one way Corvallis, Oregon was excellent.

Pros - Price was good. Car was fully appointed and worked great. Cons - Car wasn't ready at time of scheduled pickup. Had to wait 30 minutes for the car to be cleaned.

Very convenient location and very attentive staff. The car I was supposed to rent was not available so they upgraded me free of charge to a 2023 Prius which worked out even better! I had a maintainence light issue during my road trip, pulled into an Avis location near my hotel and they solved the problem immediately.

The airport location was sold out, so we had to Uber downtown for a car, but it was a good experience anyway.

Everything seemed fine, except there were no cars available to rent when we showed up at the location. This is understandable because there were a bunch of cancelled flights. However, Avis then charged a cancellation fee which is unacceptable.

I thought I was picking up the automobile at Spokane airport but apparently 3rd party rental companies like Kayak give you the nearest rental agency if no cars available at the airport (requested pick up place). But 3rd party rental companies like Kayak do not tell you that on the website BEFORE making the reservation. So I spent $55 to take a taxi to the Avis in downtown Spokane and another $25 to change my reservation to drop off the car at the airport. So savings to rent thru Kayak is demolished/reduced. My bad for not reading the reservation form more thoroughly. If I ask for Airport rental car to be picked up I expect that is what I will get. But nooooo. I will rent directly from rental car agency from now on. Service in downtown Avis Spokane was poor. Car from Avis was very clean and comfortable.

Pickup in Seattle was very very slow which could have been improved if more than one individual was serving customers. My initial car rental offered smelled like marijuana and it took an additional 25 minutes to get a replacement vehicle which ended up being a mid-sized Nissan Sentra and not the full size as I had rented. Also, there was no offer of refund for the difference in class. It took about 50 min start to finish from walking through the door to leaving with my rental which is way too long in my opinion having been a consultant for ~4 years and rented cars about 40 of every 52 week calendar year.

Spokane Budget/Avis crew was very helpful and set me up ahead of schedule, so I didn’t need to wait long. Prices are unfortunately far too high for comfort.

Pick-up in Spokane couldn't have been better! Staff were courteous and accommodating. I was given an SUV, but my handicapped mother couldn't have gotten in and out, so I was given a sedan, instead, which was very easy for her to get in and out of. Loved, loved, loved the Spokane check out! And loved the car given as well! Great Falls check out was performed by a nice lady, and it was fast and easy. The reason for marking down was that two individuals there were maskless, despite federal mandates at airports. Not following the law makes me suspect of what else these people are not doing that needs to be or should be done.

Pros:

The experience from the guy at the airport counter was fantastic, he did his best to get me a better rate since my rental was at a different Thrifty location.

Cons:

I asked for a rental at the airport which is what Kayak quoted. Yet the rental was actually at an off airport property which I didn't have time to go to. Please make it clear if I ask for an airport rental that is what I get.
