Guests consistently praise the hotel's excellent location, with many noting its convenience for exploring the area and proximity to attractions. The staff is frequently described as friendly, helpful, and responsive, with several guests highlighting positive experiences with specific employees. However, cleanliness is a recurring concern, with multiple mentions of dirty rooms, outdated facilities, and deferred maintenance. Room size receives mixed feedback, with some guests finding rooms spacious and others noting they are small or not as described. Bed comfort is also an issue for some guests. Overall, while the location and service stand out positively, the hotel would benefit from updates and improved cleanliness.

The location is fantastic. There's a lot within walking distance. The parking lot for the hotel is a block away, and that worked out really well. It's an easy walk. The front desk staff were absolutely delightful. My issues had to do with the rest of this stay. First, one of the elevators was being used by the cleaning staff and stayed at the 8th floor the entire time I was waiting for the other e...

Pros (+) We've stayed at Hotel Lincoln several times and always had a positive experience. The location is perfect for us, and there's lots to do within walking distance (great shops and restaurant, parks, zoo, Navy Pier, etc.) The staff are great, the rooftop bar is a nice experience (especially on a nice clear night) and even the little coffee shop off the lobby is good. The rooms are small, but cozy and...

Cons (-) Your experience may vary quite a bit depending on your room/location. Those on the higher floors tend to be more quiet and private. Similarly, if you spring for the "lake view" you can either get something higher up that directly faces the lake (Amazing!) or something a few floors down that, technically, does offer a lake view, but only if you sort of lean and look out your window at an angle. Natalie, May 2017

Pros (+) Beautiful view of the park and lake! Great rooftop bar and unique decor in the rooms. I also loved Elaine's coffee call downstairs.

Cons (-) They should place a mirror above the desk and move the coffee bar so it's not in the closet - hard to find.

Anonymous, Jan 2017

Pros (+) Location, location, location and general friendliness of the staff. We stayed there on a special and paid about what it is worth, a third of the normal price

Cons (-) A boutique hotel at this location is a great idea, but the decorating---plaids everywhere in a small space--is enough in itself to drive you mad. And it really doesn't cover up this was once a Day's Inn. You pay a lot of money for hotels in Chicago and this is a one of a kind location. That's about all it has going for it.
