Especially the tasteful decoration and furniture in the rooms as well as in the common parts of the hotel and the very frienly and professional staff Apart from the excellent breakfast (in a nice breakfast area) and a rather expensive à la carte restaurant it would be good to have facilities for snacks, salads etc.. at the hotel, especially for lunch. I did not like the swallow nests and especially the dirty terrace pavement !
the building The spa is far too small, very noisy because there was a wedding celebration on Saturday evening until 4 o'clock, then there was a truck who moved away the installations, still very noisy!
Beautiful building and an excellent location. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Unfortunately we were there at a time when the farm next door (ie buildings 50m away) was re-fertilising or something similar and the whole hotel smelled of manure. We couldn't open our window. Also, the spa was cold (35 C max) so wellness facilities weren't great.
Friendly, competent and attentive staff, quiet rooms and location, nice restaurant (dinner only) standard rooms small, inner yard and parking area appear unfinished,
A very nice place with friendly staff, free private wellness, great breakfast. Construction works in the morning that woke us up.
Great location, stunning place, beutifull rooms and bathroom, good restaurant None,
The setting and staff were excellent. The bedroom was comfortable and luxurious. The restaurant was welcoming but there was only a set menu with no choice. However the meal was delicious and memorable. We would like to stay there again.
An excellent stay, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast and very comfortable room Muddy carpark!
Beautiful new rooms, amazing breakfast, frienldy staff.
There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel, the staff is extremely helpfull and the rooms and entourage are lovely. It's a very romantic hotel, but I felt very welcomed by the staff and I had two young children with me. I especially liked the private spa (all to ourselves for an hour!), where one can relax, and enjoy sauna and jacuzzi. My children were welcome to use these facilities which I appreciated. A special thanks to Corinne, who went to any lenght to accomodate us. The restaurant is very recommendable, the starters might be a bit on the pricy side but worth it.
I liked the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel, the food is nice and enjoyed the Wellness facilities.
Free WLAN in the room. Big and clean room. Staff is very friendly.
The spa is really nice and the gourmet restaurant was also very good The room smelled a bit of dog, so I suspect that someone had their pet with them there.
location, restauration, comfort
Breakfast is good Jacuzzi only for one person, room is very simple with minimum services for a luxury hotel and compare with other ones with same price is really low.
The location Everything is payable, even to open the minibar in the room, you have to ask a key at the reception. That key costs EUR 1,50.
The setting of both the hotel and the town are truly amazing and for that alone it would be worth a visit. If it's a quiet time you're looking for then it would be hard to find better than this. I was surprised for a hotel that calls itself 'International' that there were no menus in English. I also believe any hotel that caters for business people really should have wireless internet connection available.
The fact that they provided transport from and to the train. Also, the room was quite spacious and the breakfast was very good. no.
The treatments in the spa area and also the choice at breakfast. The room was smaller than I thought having read reviews before I went. The water in the swimming pool and jacuzzi was quite cold.
The wellness area (swimming pool, jakuzzi, sauna complex), location of hotel, breakfast buffet The sauna area was clearly indicated to be a naked area only. nevertheless quite some people didn't respect that rule, causing certain people to be upset. The rules are clear for everyone.
The room was nice and big, tha bathroom looked luxury and had a bath! The breakfast was good, the buffet offered enough choices for a nice breakfast and to our supprise there was a swimming pool! The staff was very helpfull and friendly. There was nothing we didn't like but maybe the hotel might consider installing airco or ventilation in the rooms because during our stay it was very hot outside and quite warm in the room (although opening the windows in the evening helped a little.
Breakfast The quality of the food in the restaurant
The staff were extremely friendly, and the food in the restaurant was exquisite.
central location, open and friendly atmosphere bedsheet material, length of blankets a bit on the short side.
Friendly staff and clean room. Very uncomfortable bedding. Rather expensive for the room we got.
Central for visiting museums in area. Found Excellent Clevaux Toy Museum close to Hotel. Evening meal was good. Good value for the price. My room struggled to heat up even after turning the radiators on full. Swimming pool is 'Refreshing' in temperature.! Breakfast was ok-ish. Note; the Eggs are raw. You have to boil them. (Yes i did make the mistake.! )
Good service, newly refurbished rooms, friendly staff, location right in the town next to the castle.
Nice, renovated and spacious room, located in the center of a very nice small town. Ideal for a short week-end break.
"Bikers Welcome". Having ridden there from Zeebrugge in very warm weather, the swimming pool etc.was great. After the Sunday evening dinner 'difficulty', the breakfast was extremely good. We arrived on Sunday evening, and the restaurant was having a mussels- only night. None of our party of 4 adults can stand the smell of those large buckets of mussels! However, we ate a 3-course meal, only 300 metres away, for 10 euros each.
Facilities are very basic.
Excellent breakfast buffet. A woman staff member at the reception desk was very helpful in solving internet and printing problems on the lobby computer system. The bathroom was attractive, but not functional. No towel rods or shelving to put your personal belongings and the motion controlled lights kept turning off when I was in the shower.
Exellent service and attention to detail by all the staff. First class!!!!. Would definatly make a return visit. Good location and much to do in the surrounding area. Perhaps more translation into English on certain written material, but hey us Brits are very lazy about learning a second or third language.
Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Dining was very good and good value.
Every member of staff w encountered, from front of house to spa, was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. I have stayed here once previously and experienced the same and even though the hotel was full and very busy it made no difference.Location is excellent and the spa and pool facilities add an extra dimension to the location. some rooms have been decorated, others not, this time I had booked two rooms, one had new bathroom, etc. the other was awaiting upgrade. Not a major problem, the room was clean and tidy but bathroom a little tired. Would not stop me rebooking or recommending though.
The brasserie and restaurant served nice food for a good price. Free access to the spa and swimming pool inside the hotel are a nice addition.
Location was beautiful close to many sites. Surrounding area and community was very friendly jacuzzi was a little cold for our tastes
Set up of the room was perfect for our circumstances, offering co-travels amazingly high privacy but overall excellent social arrangemetns. The pool-spa-sauna facilities were also great Staff, especially at the spa, were a bit stuff.
Food was good. Some staff helpful The rooms were large, we had a superior room, but very bland. No mirrors in the bedroom, no tissues. No double beds but they did put on a doubel top sheet under the two duvets. Wish we had been told as we hate the separate beds thing.
The room was lovely, the bathroom was really big and the restaurant food was excellent. The bed was too soft, my hiusband got backache and the pillows were too full and firm and hurt my neck.
The whole atmosphere The parking under the hotel is rather narrow for a large car
I stayed one night and it was great: a friendly and polite staff, a tidy and quite spacious room, a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom and above all a festive breakfast.
Hotel was easy to find. Parking was effortless. Room was clean & well presented. Spaceous , but not ott. Bar staff were rude.
Free access to internet in hotel lobby, friendliness of hotel staff, cozy bar in hotel, nice breakfast. No, but Clervaux itself is a pretty quiet town. We stayed there because it is only about 20 minutes by car to Bastogne.
Freindly staff, nice location, good breakfast.
Staff were very efficient, friendly and supportive of each other, very much a team effort.
We found the staff proffessional while being personable. The interesting and attractive bathroom design really added to the room. The breakfast serving area was a little cramped, but the homemade preserves were a nice touch. Our room was at the back of the hotel and we were worried about the train, but it never bothered us.
Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food.
It is very convenient for walking. We had a wonderfull day on the hills Very noisy from early morning to about 7pm with traffic. Also fairlt noisy internally. We had requested a quiet room.
Excellent food, cozy bar, very 'stylish' rooms (deluxe room is really exceptional!) and eally nice owners. If this is always he standard, this is a **** hotel, not *** ! none
Beautiful envorinment Obviously you pay for the location, not for the hotel. Terrible shower. The hotel claims to be a 'Golf hotel'. In that case any hotel in this village can claim to be a Golf Hotel.
Close to were we wanted to see the areas. A bit old fashioned, not very welcoming.
The location was great.
Very accomodating and service oriented staff, comfortable, clean, good restaurant, good location
very friendly staff, food was excellent, very clean, good location, free parking
Hotel is located in a small Quiet little town surrounded by lovely countryside ideal for walking, biking etc. Hotel itself is quite old with the decor/style prob not updated from 70s-80s era although the rooms were spotless & good size for a 1-2 night stay. The rooms are located above the restaurant & bar which are both very nice. We ate in the restaurant as we were offered a discount on our room (only paid 20euro for dbl ). Our 4 course meal was excellent with a very helpfull waiter to explain the menu & provide very profesional service & also a great choice of fresh crab & lobster available. Ideal place to stay if you want piece & quiet after a days travelling.
The owner was really friendly. The food was superb. Rooms are a bit old and dark, but did have a certain atmosphere
The hotel staff was polite and very helpful in answering questions. The room was very clean and tidy. The morning breakfast was not a buffet, but rather served to us at the table--excellent service though. Not at all
An excellent retaurant with a romantic terrace.
very helpfull people. nice price. good food.
it was a good quality 4* hotel our room was clean and tidy, had all the facilities i would expect. although the hotel was clean the decor was a litle out dated the avocado bathroom siute realy needs to go!
Very friendly and helpful staff. V clean and comfortable. Excellent restraunt.
very quiet and peaceful. Friendly and helpful staff. Great food. The restaurant is excellent, but expensive.
ambience created by owners is gracious, genteel, comfortable, thoughtful. I felt special and that my visit was important to them. I liked everything. It is a special manoir.
Spacious comfortable and clean room. Nice surroundings. The dinner was exorbitantly expensive. For 3o Euros extra wine was included with the meal. This turned out to mean 3 glasses of wine, and staff were extremely surly when more wine was aked for!
The atmosphere in the hotel and the surroundings, especially.
Good for a quite couple of days in the country.
A most relaxing break, with superb food and attentive staff. Will definately return !!
This was our third time to stay there, and we love it!! Everything--the location (so calm and serene), the food, the staff, all of it. Looking forward to our next stay.
It was a beautiful, quiet location. The staff was very friendly, the food was excellent, a wonderful place to stay
We have stayed multiple times at the mill, but this time we stayed in the new apartments in town just up the hill. They are very nice. The only drawback were the pillows--they were like Mt Everest--so tall!!
Everything!! The hotel is in a lovely location, very relaxing. The staff are very attentive and the food wonderful. This was our second visit and we will be back .............
A lovely, very rural setting, and the place itself is an intriguing old mill complex. The evening meal in the restaurant was superb. Took some finding (thank goodness for satnav!), but it is sign-posted very clearly once you find Asselborn. The room was rather cool and they seemed unwilling to put any heat on. Breakfast was nothing special.
I arrived late but the owner's wife was very helpful and she made sure that I'm comfortable. I had to leave early and no one was at the reception and the door was locked, even though I specifically said the previous morning that I'm going to leave early.
hotel and staff excellent in a fantastic quiet location
Excellent room & bathroom. Staff helpful with pleasantly informal approach. Food is good value.
The quietness, the easy separate entrance to the rooms, the good food. I would have liked some easy chairs in my room and a relaxing place downstairs.
very good food at a more than reasonable price
The room was wide enough and facilitated well in spite of the cheap rate, although I was a little bit embarrassed few hotel staff speak English....
Good parking place
A typical European looking hotel. Friendly staff, big, comfortable rooms, nice breakfast and good parking facilities. Free wireless internet is an added bonus. This is a good hotel!
Nice, clean, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast
owners were very helpfull on 3rd floor no lift , excessive noise coming from resturant on first floor
I live in Les Timandines for 3 nights and I must say that I was positively surprised! Extremly friendly service (They waited for us until 2.30 so that we could check in). The hotel restaurant was excellent and the had a half-pension offer that was very good!
