Pros: Michael was the best host ever! And can the man cook!! Delicious breakfasts—all made from local farm products.
Pros: We loved that Michael took the time to know what foods we liked and accommodated us without us having to ask. We felt very at home here and would definitely come back!
Pros: Absolutely charming! This quaint B&B definitely exceeded my expectations! Best night of sleep I’ve had in months! I can’t wait to return!!
Cons: Earlier breakfast
Pros: Michael, the Innkeeper, is a splendid fellow! He went out of his way to be sure everything I needed was taken care of, including driving me to the dry cleaners for a hurry up suit pressing job. The breakfasts were great, delicious, and different every morning!
Cons: For older guests (I'm beyond Baby Boomer generation, but even they are getting older!), a non-slip pad to stand on when taking a shower would help a lot, and for extra safety, a grab bar on the shower wall would also help.
Pros: The quiet, the fast WiFi and Michael’s excellent breakfasts
Pros: It is right downtown near all the little shops and right next to a bike friendly area. We did a great 40 mile bike ride along the coast there and followed it up with Brunch at Crissies about 1 mile away we also went and watched the sunset at the coast. Great place to stay, the room is huge, water hot, bed super comfortable!!
Cons: That we couldn’t stay longer.
Pros: Centrally located to town and easily walkable, very quaint, cozy, private, homey, and overall extremely enjoyable!
Pros: Michael kept in touch prior to our arrival which was very nice. The place is lovely and homey, with thoughtful amenities such as bikes for rental, robes, 24 hour coffee, comfy bed, WiFi and a nice tv. The breakfast was delicious and we wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy biking and kayaking, and to explore the lovely neighborhood and town! Thank you, Michael. We will definitely be back
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. Home made. Seemed like a master chef was doing the cooking.
Pros: This was a gifted stay for our parents 60th anniversary and they really enjoyed themselves! We were told the "Inn" was very clean and the breakfast was delightful - arranged beautifully with fruit/veggie garnishes.

Pros: Staff was warm and friendly. The house was charming along with the antiques distributed throughout the building.
Pros: Breakfast was delicious-- home-made baked french toast, plus fruit, juice, quickbread and tea and coffee of course. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Public areas were pleasant, spacious and inviting.
Pros: Innkeepers present, friendly, helpful, welcoming without being overbearing. Breakfast was exquisite. We stayed a night in off-season, super quiet and relaxing. Lovely, highly recommended!
Pros: Great place to stay with comfortable rooms and a nice big common area. The location was near good restaurants and places to see, so very convenient. The big porch is beautiful. I would definitely come back here again.
Pros: Accommodated my food allergies; lovely decor with attention to detail; cozy common room with lots of activities; hospitality was excellent; owners live on property; historic property
Cons: Long flight of stairs for lifting heavy luggage
Pros: location great/ food good/ amenities good/ beach access parking free/ antique decor interesting
Cons: air conditioning kept waking me up when it kicked in and shook the bed
Pros: Stayed here for 2 nights. It's quiet, quaint and spotless. Main level is a pool table, game cabinet, puzzle table, fireplace and a tv. The guest rooms are upstairs. The outside has a large porch for just relaxing which we enjoyed mornings and evenings. The owners Mary and Jim were very pleasant. Loved the breakfast surprise Jim cooked up for us each morning.
Pros: Jim and Mary owners could not do enough for you.
Pros: The house is amazing and the owners so gentle. The position is also perfect, 5 minutes walking to the sea and close to many good restorant. The outlet is close as well.
Cons: The airconditioning is noising. Too light in the room in the morning.
Pros: The breakfasts were delicious! The menu was very different and creative! Mary and Jim are lovely welcoming hosts! The porch was the best! Also, Mary and Jim offer you beach chairs and towels to bring to the beach. No need to pack them!
Cons: We loved everything!

With four meeting rooms offering state-of-the art A/V technology and wonderful coastal views, not to mention our lush lawn and private beach, our hotel is one of New England's premier destinations for unforgettable weddings, sophisticated corporate events, social functions, and bar/bat mitzvahs. Pros: The staff are the best part of the experience. They were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our toilet started making a very strange and loud noise on our last morning. We informed the front desk so it was fixed(I hope) after we left. Very strange
Pros: Fireplace, tub,views
Cons: Hot water did not last long. Also could hear the people next door loud and clear.
Pros: The property is on the beach alright, but the beach is public, i.e. does not belong to the property. Which is OK, as it is a very quiet town. But the hotel needs to make it clear to the arriving guests that they CAN actually walk beyond the property boundaries. Otherwise, the first impression is that the beach is private, i.e. belongs to the residential community. Since this is a very common practice in Connecticut (i.e. making beaches private) guests might not realize that they can enjoy walking on the beach beyond property boundaries. For a hotel with the word "beach" in its name, this would be rather a shame.
Cons: The reservation stated that a meal plan was offered at the hotel: breakfast $15, lunch $20 and dinner $25. The management declined to honor this offer, We wished later on that we contacted Booking.com and straightened this out as we know Booking.com really does stand behind its offers. But we did not. Instead, we ended up spending much-much more to eat at the hotel's restaurant. We did not mind this because we wanted to experience the restaurant with panoramic views of Long Island Sound, but we would not do it again. We think that in an empty restaurant the management can and should offer a meal plan, perhaps for guests staying for a minimum of two nights, as we did. Otherwise, the cost of food becomes prohibitive for longer stays by the beach. Hence, the old tradition of this historic hotel - of catering to families by the beach - is a mere memory of a bygone era.
Pros: Location, room,
Cons: Restaurant atmosphere. Very loud.
Pros: The views are great. The bed was fantastic; the food was very good; fresh salads; breakfast was priced very reasonably and the quantities were large. Staff was very friendly.
Pros: The view was amazing. Service was lovely. Room was very nicely appointed. Will definitely return.
Cons: The design of the shutters blocks the beautiful view. I really don't understand why a hotel would spend so much on beachfront property and then prevent shutters from fully opening to accommodate over-sized desk in room. Still it was pretty overall.
Pros: Room views were excellent, all overlooking Long Island Sound. Our room 407 was comfortable with a fireplace and a nice walk-in shower. There were two members of the catering/banquet staff who were most helpful; they were server Carter Chapman and manager Nicole Leckey who provided great service.
Cons: $20/day valet parking only; no self-parking. No Executive Lounge for Diamond Members, only a $15/pp breakfast credit off an a la carte menu. No swimming pool. Need a car as there is nothing to see other than the beach within walking distance of hotel. Not a "resort" style hotel; expensive daily room rate charged.
Pros: Beautiful location, stunning view, very comfortable main bed.
Cons: We were three and supposed to get a room with a fold-out sofa but another guest had been given that room so, when we went downstairs and pointed out that there is no place for the third person to sleep, they brought a rollaway bed into the room. That bed was nice- looking well-made clean —and horribly uncomfortable with springs sticking into our (adult) son all night as a result of which no one got a good night’s sleep. Seems like a relatively easy thing for a hotel to keep track of and fix. Especially at the cost of $600/night.
Pros: room was so nice and view was spectacular. We had the most incredible dinner...very relaxing. A really nice night.
Pros: The location is beautiful. It's right on the beach and the rooms are fabulous. The tub is large in spacious and there is also a walk-in shower the size of the bathroom.
Cons: There was a big disconnect on what was included via bookings.com and what actually was included at the site. Parking was listed as free on bookings.com yet it was $21.87 to park overnight. I also thought I included breakfast with the stay for an additional $15 but yet when I got there they told me that was not the case but they would honor the breakfast up to $15.
Pros: The view, the comfort of the room, the cleanliness, staff, the dining options, all the wonderful

Cons: Honestly everything was absolutely amazing. Even the wifi!
Pros: The location was perfect for our beach getaway. Meri was warm and friendly. She very understanding of my husband's dietary restrictions and willingly made substitutions.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect
Pros: Spent a night here as we had a wedding in the Elks Club up the street. It was awesome! Lovely quaint rooms, charming old house, beautifully decorated. Lovely yard in back with a sitting area and fire pit. Very close to Westbrook beach. Delicious, hearty, home made breakfast, everything is immaculate! Meri and Marcus were so welcoming and fun to chat with! We will be back, and hopefully for a longer stay next time! Thank you for a lovely time!
Cons: Our stay was too short!
Pros: Extremely cute and clean
Pros: The inn owners were very pleasant and the food was outstanding. Ground were lovely.
Cons: The faucets in the kitchen area were a challenge.
Pros: This BB is all you would expect and more. The proprietors of the property are just the nicest couple. They thought of everything to make our stay something to remember. The facility is walking distant from the cutest town Beach, where we spent most of our time. The proprietors had everything we needed from beach chairs and umbrellas, to bicycles. This place gets two thumbs up.
Cons: Everything was just great.
Pros: Clean and Comfortable. Meri in an awesome host!!
Pros: We were staying overnight in the area for a wedding. The B&B was very close to the venue (The Elks Club) - a 5-10 minute walk and walking distance to the beach. Mary, one of the owners, was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The B&B itself was well furnished and very quaint - just what I expect from a B&B in a small old town!

Pros: Spa experience was great.
Cons: People at front deak and spa front desk were not super friendly
Pros: The view was gorgeous, the staff was super nice and professional and the overall experience was lovely
Pros: Amazing hotel in a very special place, a very nice surprise located in a beautiful area. Room was great, restaurant & services too and swimming pool and beach were incredible. Very recommendable place
Pros: Liked everything
Cons: We were unable to get a seat at pool or on beach. We went to indoor pool which we really enjoyed , was grateful for that option!
Pros: I did not get to try the breakfast. The location was beautiful.
Cons: Although the view was beautiful, we had a peak located directly in the middle of our view right off our balcony. When I upgraded to a balcony with waterview I was not informed that I would have a peak located in the middle of it, But overall still enjoyed our stay.
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: Check out was a mess.
Cons: No Microwave in room
Pros: Very clean, beautiful grounds, very friendly staff, plenty of parking.
Cons: Early check in did not happen even though we requested months in advance. Understand there is no guarantee for this.
Pros: I swam in the Sound and both pools and enjoyed the hot tub. The Italian restaurant was very good.
Cons: The people above us sounded like elephants as they walked!
Pros: Food was very good, Beach access, wonderful gardens, very clean
Cons: Wait staff was not as attentive as I expected, one hostess seemed unfriendly and not willing to help explain different dining options when we first arrived. The location of different dining options confusing on first day.
Pros: Location was great and views from rooms were beautiful. Lots of great options to eat outside looking at the water.
Cons: Hotel feels more like a glorified Holiday Inn than a resort and they pump out so many weddings a day that it's a little hectic and crowded. Beachfront is also incredibly small and cramped.
Pros: The location was great, it was a lovely establishment
Cons: There were a lot of children in the pool. It was difficult to find a spot to not be in the middle of them playing and jumping in the pool. It seemed every time we moved five or six more children were around us. Not that we don’t like children but it was not fun for us.

Pros: Everything was great luv Clinton motel
Pros: Nice folks, convenient location, clean, bonus was windows that open. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: TV remote was a little confusing but after we figured it out, it worked fine (two seventy year olds....not too tech savvy).
Pros: Location. Well run, clean
Cons: Nothing nh
Pros: Clean and comfortable good value we were just staying the night but was what I was looking for.
Pros: Convenient location. Front looks good , property could use some picking up of brush on side of building.
Cons: See above .
Pros: Clean enough. TV worked. Refrigerator and microwave! Didn’t smell too horrible. AC was strong.
Cons: Couldn’t find ice machine — probably didn’t have one.
