Convenient lovation
My room had a musty/dusty like smell to it and some renovations to the halls ways and elevators needs to be done; including more elevators for a motel that size.
The location is okay.
Cleaning and Customer Service
The room was very comfy
Na
Probably lost a Rewards customer over this one.
The room was fairly nice but not worth $240.00 a night.
When checking in I asked for the rate that was currently on the internet not the rate when I booked. Denied. Military discount, Denied. There was no guide for the TV and no hotel information pamphlet in the room anywhere. 2 TV's and 1 remote. Parking was either valet for a $25.00 fee or run out to meters ever 2 hours. NO other option. I will never go back and might just ignore La Quinta altogether.
Very Upsetting
Very colorful
I arrived to find my A/C was saying error in my room. We thought that if we turned it on it will work but nothing. We called the front desk and she said that she did not have anyone on staff to come look at the A/C and it would take maybe 30 mins and will call me back to let me know what will happen. This was about 7:20pm and nothing was told to us about anything. I had my husband to go to downstairs around 8:15pm and ask for a fan just to get cooled because we were going to an event downtown and I needed to get dressed. The person was on her personal phone and said she did not have a fan. Not even suggesting to accommodate at all. I had my cousin who works for the LaQuinta in another city to call to get something done. The lady runs to our room and proceeds to tell my husband what to do to fix it. He moved the fridge and unplugged it as she said but we are guest and he did this in his TUXEDO!! No help from her at all. We went to our event came back at 1:04 am and the new shift had no ideal of the issue. Needless to say they couldn't get it to work and lucky for us we live in Dallas and went home. Now the staff was very apologetic of the problem and refunded our stay. I LOVE this hotel chain because of the breakfast and home feel and never had a problem until traveling to this location in my own city. This location gets a hug side-eye for inconvenience from me. *The rooms were rather small and you have to valet and it $25+ tax that was not made aware.
Great location
Parking is not included
2nd time at hotel and they struck out big time
Location: Was very helpful since it was close by to the Tram station. Facilities: Breakfast great and room was fairly clean
Cleanliness: In room was good, but each floor had 1/2 the floor closed off (which was left wide open very frequently) for reconstruction. Hallways were a mess and I constantly kept finding pieces of plaster and nails in front of my doorway. Would have been smarter to seal off an entire floor for construction rather than 1/2 a floor every floor (or atleast the floors I saw personally since I went exploring because multiple Ice Machines were broken). Comfort: Besides the construction literally right next to my room, the plaster pieces, and nails... It was fairly comfortable. Location: My only issue was the parking. Even though they gave me a ticket when I gave them my keys you might want to get them a better tracking system. They apparently had lost my keys in the key pile in their office. I had to explain what my rental car and keys looked like just to narrow it down to 3 key sets. Would be kinda worried if this was a personal vehicle. Staff: The check-in and check-out process was smooth I will give them that. As for my other complaints (described in the cleanliness part) was met with 1 of 2 very well rehearsed apologies which seemed more of a blow off apology. Even after telling them I work in another hotel and to just lay it out straight to me (I'm understanding especially since the hotel I work at just did renovations), they still gave me the rehearsed blow off apology. Value for money: I'll let you decide from the above if $100+ per night is worth it. Especially considering this is gonna be ongoing til February 2016 (from what staff said to me directly). As a fair warning they are not advertising the construction on any website except their own. Even if you call up to confirm your reservation they don't even disclose to you (in email or over the phone) that they are under construction.
Would not recommend this hotel. The decor is drabby and outdated. The hotel was undergoing construction so place reeked and covered in dust. Not only was the hotel filthy but the rooms were as well. And no available outlets to charge phone in room except the bathroom. Bums walk around the area, the only parking at the hotel you have to pay for...and it's down the street and around the corner. Overall, bad experience and wished I would've gone elsewhere. However, the staff was friendly.
Great Value, but it comes at a price
Front desk staff was helpful, and the breakfast was good.
No insulation in the walls...the couple next door fought for two and a half hours starting at 2 am. Also, none of the lamps were plugged in when we got there and there were giant cleaning carts in the hall ways right outside of the door.
The hotel was under renovation. The pictures online looked nothing like the hotel.
Clean, good staff, desk was good.
Tiny, non-flatscreen TV.
Other stuff
Downtown location Histroic Nice people Easy to get to
Cleanliness particularity in lobby and elevators. Poor workout facility...2 macines, no weights
the closeness of all the sights we wished to see in the time we had there
proximity of downtown, personnal are very gentle, good service
The stay was comfortable for two guest, liked that Hotel had a resturant in the stay.
Did not like the parking area of the Hotel!
It was interesting to stay at an older renovated hotel. The improvements- showers especially-were very good. The view was great of the Old Red Court House and in walking distance of the West End restaurant area. It was also right across from Union Station with the Dart and tre trains. With those and the hotel shuttle bus you could get anywhere in town. It was nice to have breakfast included.
Our bathroom was a bit tight but manageable.
I enjoyed the staff. I found them personable, helpful, and willing to go out of their way for my needs.
The breakfast was okay. It seems as the week went on, the food seemed to be recycled. The biscuits and gravy became more water downed as the week progressed.
